No dining packages on my May 2024 sailing on Ovation either.

You can do it with MS Word. Simply open the downloaded luggage tag PDF in Word, edit and add your name via edit mode, then save again as PDF and print. That's the method I use each time. You can do the same if you have a PDF editor program, most folks will have access to MS Word.

I asked if it was open but was told by the folks at La Patisserie across the way that it wasn't ready yet. 🤷‍♂️

Yep, that's the area! They had an espresso machine being set up but not operating yet.

On Ovation in May, they were adding the espresso machine to the Sorrento's pizza right next door (through the open doorway in your 1st pic). It's in the area to the left of the pizza ovens. It wasn't ready yet during my cruise but that might the case for Odyssey as well.

We rented a Ford Explorer from Ann @ Drive About Car Rental. It's a small company with only 5 vehicles, but very nicely maintained and they drop off the car right at the closest parking area to your cruise ship dock. We found the prices to be very competitive and had an awesome time driving to the Yukon and Emerald Lake. Their url is: drive-about.com . Hope this helps.

Just hit prime in May and have received multiple mailed AND emailed offers with Inside or OV cabins on select sailings, up to 7 days on older class ships. I booked a cruise for next year using the $500 off from the onboard certificate they put in our room on the next to last day of the cruise. Soooo, very much a YMMV situation I guess from Royal.

That's precisely what I was told by the waitstaff in the MDR. At least on the Ovation, they claimed that milk was served in place of half and half for all of the venues that had free, regular coffee.

On Ovation last month, we struck up a good relationship with our head, main, and assistant waiters. On the 4th day of the cruise, they all told us that they don't carry half and half anymore and when a guest asks for cream, they serve milk instead and don't mention it. That's what I had the entire cruise with the regular, not espresso coffee.

This seems to be a YMMV situation. Just got off Ovation OTS last and the barista in Cafe Promenade specifically told me that my card doesn't expire and can be re-used on another ship and sailing. 🤷‍♂️

I am so sorry about your situation, and you definitely have my sympathies. I'm in complete agreement that RCL is wrong and should have at a minimum, provided a disclaimer that the Skagway port was in jeopardy prior to the 90 day final payment date. I hope you and your family ultimately enjoy your cruise despite this setback.

On our last sailing, our wait staff in the MDR told us that early dining is the best bet for quality as the kitchen preps all of the food for the entire evening at the same time. This basically means a lot of the food served for MTD and the late seating has been sitting around for a couple of hours and they usually get more complaints from those guests.

That makes the most sense, I can't see both ships having engine issues at the same time. Juneau still showing up on web and app for my sailing.

Nothing has changed so far on my Ovation cruise on 5/11/23. Juneau is still listed as Day 4 on both the website and app.

For smaller items or bags, attach the hooks from the ceiling, they hold MUCH better hanging down from the ceiling than from a wall, just from my own experience.

I'm hoping my 8 day sailing on Ovation in May is wrong... The menu just showed up on the app this morning and no Royal theme night (i.e. not a single lobster tail to be found). Welcome aboard, French, UK, Italy, US, Caribbean, Mexico.

Is that a phone mount on the rail there? If so, mind sharing what the make and model is? It looks like an awesome little gadget!

Generally, once you have a muster station assigned, that indicates you've also been assigned a cabin. The bar code reader trick has worked in giving us our cabin number twice now once the muster station appeared in the app. I've heard it doesn't always show your cabin yet, but good luck.

I would like to know why, in addition to the revamped menus, have they implemented a new rule seen on some (hopefully not all YET) ships of being able to only order 1 entree at a time in the MDR. To truly reduce the amount of time for a dinner service, let people continue to order 2 entrees simultaneously, not insist on serving them 1 after another. There are many folks who still enjoy a 2nd entree as a side dish to be enjoyed at the same time, not 1 after another.
