  1. Whenever you can. No worries. I was on the ferry from Cruz Bay back to Red Hook and sat upstairs on the ferry my forehead got sizzleaned off. It is a different kind of hot over there. Thanks just keep me in mind on that I have a genuine interest in going to this bar next time I'm on the island. I didn't get to go over to St. John last time because of the hurricane, I'm looking forward to going back and that bar I could make a long afternoon there. Thanks Btw did they ever clean up Caneel Bay? Last couple of times I was there it looked like a bomb went off down there. Thank you.
  2. Really?!! Damn!! Who opened up there wallet to St. Thomas finally?? C'mon Ms411 this not only won't hurt a thing it'll brighten things up a bit over there at Red Hook. Crown Bay needs completely like opened up in that corner back there and made more inviting. It's a GREAT pier it's just there's no really nice restaurant or bar back there. Where cruisers can gather close to the ship or have a drink before getting back on the ship. I have a buddy of mine who sells beer out of a kiosk at Crown Bay and has killed it FOR YEARS because there's no bar back there. Tickles is somewhere around there I stumbled in there a couple of times that was a long time ago and that was a walk back to Crown Bay. Well that's when Princess docked at Crown Bay if that'll tell you something. That barbeque😕 restaurant at Havensight was so PACKED when I was there last time it was a nightmare. I just kept walking went across the street and hit this SWEET BAR in the plaza across the street from Havensight. I forgot the name of that place but it's really really nice. That's what's so nice about Havensight you can always find a beer or a place to sit down and have a couple before getting out on the island. Comprende' Amigo?😎 Just for the record before I even get to a beach on St. Thomas between beer, souvenirs, taxi fares snacks whatever, you name it I'm already well into the 3 figures range. You folks are going to let me travel around your island with a drink in my hand my toes in the sand, and leave me alone, I can't give you my money fast enough and do. Going on 30 years now and it's just getting started. 🌟
  3. So on a cruise visit what would you recommend the best way for me to get to the Windmill Bar on St. John?? In the event taxi drivers don't go there.😳
  4. No worries thank you. Don't forget to post a pic. Thanks!! Have a nice weekend.
  5. This is the best one ever because it's SOOO TRUE!!!😂😂😂😂😂 That's really funny!!!
  6. When you walk out on the beach you'll notice these huge boulders placed about 150 ft. offshore to break the surf behind the resort. It's the REAL DEAL Atlantic that south end of the island is very narrow you can take a taxi from Carambola to The Marriott in about 3 minutes not 5, 3 minutes. Carambola there is no surf no waves rocks😕, crummy beach😢. A 3 minute taxi ride later we were on a real beach with real waves with real swells and CLEAN Beautiful water. The water is the deal, I was here on this particular visit it was Thanksgiving 2013. The storm that nobody told anybody about came through and blew everything on the beach and by the pool out into the ocean including a pair of my nice hurachi's I went back to the ship bare foot we do that alot in West Virginia anyway so it wasn't out of the ordinary.😁🌟😎 I've never experienced a storm like that and by the looks on the staff's faces either had they. The sky was BLACK the wind I know what high wind is all about living in the mountains. These were 120mph gusts easily. When it was kinda over everybody was too afraid to go out and see what was left which wasn't much and it really never quit raining it just let up. Major buzz kill but it was a very humbling experience. When you get to the beach walk to your left way past the breakers(north) along the beach about 250 yards turn to your right(east😉) that's open ocean. Unless we're on the ship out in the middle of God knows where, we don't get to see or experience open ocean or a real beach like that. Tons of nice beaches but not water like that. That ocean out there is the real daddy ding dong.🫣🥺😁🥺🫣 The open ocean has a mind all to its own🫣. You'll figure it out.🏖️🏝️ Lots of these too🌋. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
  7. That's nice!! Love bangles too. It's just difficult to find one that fits. Thanks.
  8. I love stainless steel bracelets I just started wearing stainless last year after years of just wearing gold. Stainless wears well, is incredibly durable and looks great the idea that's it's so affordable doesn't hurt a thing either. Stainless goes great as an addition to wearing a blingy watch. Plus it's not so difficult to find stainless steel bracelets in 9 1/2 inch range or any size range for that matter. Stainless steel jewelry and I'm a different kind of picky when it comes to bling, stainless steel is the new awesome. My stainless bracelets wear as well as my gold one's do. I love stainless.👍
  9. Thank you. Appreciate it.👌
  10. Iguana Joe's (AGAIN🙄) with EVERYBODY ELSE. Best authentic REAL nachos I've eaten in years. Bloody Marys ROCK. Mojito's are as good as they are on the ship. Fresh everything. Pretty people, nice too!! One of the best vibes on the island.
  11. Ms411 that place is nice. That Beer necklace is genius. She did that place up right. I'll be there next time on the way to the Windmill Bar. That's where I'm going straight from Havensight to Redhook to Cruz Bay to the Windmill, chillax, and have my share of brewskis. Hey Ms411 think about this about how long does it take to get to or from the pier at Cruz Bay to the Windmill Bar? Is it farther than Trunk Bay? It's not a problem I just want to make sure to catch the correct ferry back to Redhook. Thanks Todd
  12. NICE!! I'll remember this next time on the island. Thanks!!
  13. Yes they prefer the US dollar. No problemo😎 your going to have a nice day at a very quaint very nice little establishment on a beautiful beach. Have a nice vacation.
  14. That's the longest mile you'll ever walk in your life. Between the heat the cars and every other kind of traffic. I can't do it I catch a taxi. It's a good idea and that's about it. I've tried walking from Havensight to downtown I make it out to the main road the gate, I just kinda scratch my head look around, scratch my head a couple more times look around some more, and then hop in a taxi. It doesn't look it but it's a longer walk than one might think, especially on vacation.
  15. Beer and wine earrings?? Awesomeness!! 🌟
  16. No problemo. Have a great vacation. 🤜🤛
  17. It's not that far apart it's just the beach is very long and wide there's plenty of room for both of you to have your own space at the same time you're at the same resort. It's a really nice setup. Plus it's only about 8 minutes from the ship. Great pool nice menu great food if you get hungry. Staff is awesome and always there to help. Once you step out of the elevator and see the property you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. I really enjoy the pool and I tend to lay out at the pool at the same time time the beach is really nice and the water is wonderful. You can't lose either way you go. I understand the day pass fee has gone up to about $50 a day. That's very reasonable to have access and free reign around the resort for the day. One of the best all around vibes in the Eastern Caribbean, consistently. Go and enjoy your day your in for a very pleasant surprise. I've taken a couple of dozen or so cruisers from our CC groups over the last 15 years and we just loved the place and really enjoyed ourselves. Have a great time on your vacation.
  18. Absolutely GREAT POOL and GREAT BEACH. Both are beside one another the beach is huge you can go wherever you want DH can stay up by the pool running up your bar tab. Lots of room vast property, you two will never see each other😁. Great pool bar. You will have a great time. As nice as the pool area is the beach is wonderful. You'll go back. Have fun and please post a review when you get back. Thanks Todd
  19. That still may not be too bad $120. I'm looking forward to reading reviews on this place looks really nice and a great option to the Marriott or Palm Court Gardens. Thanks.
  20. You can go to Passions anyway you want. I'm not sure what the taxi fare is because I always take the bus for $2 each way. Passions Beach Bar is my favorite on Aruba. Best grilled chicken panini sandwich on the island. Excellent vibe nice people. GREAT beach.
  21. Your going to be on the bus for about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic by the time you get to Turners. Turners and Darkwood are on the same bay but it's much to far to walk. Darkwood is the first beach Turners is the last beach. Been to both personally I like Turners, new bar clean restrooms, less traffic and it's down at the end it's nice and quiet down there.
  22. Your in for a very pleasant day. I've been with Lawrence twice it's a great laid back tour. We had a blast both times and so will you.
