  1. Palazzo/ Venetian has a Casino affiliation. They give Princess cruises out ,based on status/ play in their casino.Parking in Vegas, I don’t believe so.
  2. Great great Live from, enjoyed reading. I am missing the daily read, I don’t think anybody else has a Live from right now. Can’t wait till your next cruise blog that I can do some armchair cruising.
  3. Well I’m glad you were able to find a tour to go on in Barbados ,at least that’s what it sounds like you did. And totally agree -very difficult to know from the small print if you really can go on the tour or not especially when you see it online . But usually when I’ve seen tours online they have the same tour offered for wheelchair/Mobility walkers. Glad you persisted at the tour desk.
  4. 1-800 774-6237, but I doubt they’re going to have anything on file for you. Are you saying it came through as an email on your Princess account? I honestly don’t think I would worry about it ,if you don’t see a credit card charge ( deposit)on any of your credit cards .I wouldn’t worry about this ,it’s a scam . Do you have a princess captains circle account? If you do ,go into that and you should be able to see any booked cruises and the details. I do see that the op posted today that they just booked a March 3rd cruise ( Emerald Princess roll call) and posted on a roll call, so......?? Op may very well need to pay for a cruise that they just booked because it’s already past final payment for a March 3 cruise , but this thread is becoming crazier and crazier.
  5. Maybe a scam to get your credit card information? Sounds .... The only phone number that you should be using is the cruise lines ( whatever line that may be )published phone number, but if you don’t have a credit card that was charged for a deposit ,then I would say this is a scam . How did you get notified that you were booked on a cruise with $7000 due ?
  6. How about dispute the charge(s) to your credit card,if you have not already. while onboard what were you told would happen to your cancelled dinner reservation(s) that was pre paid? Why were you not accommodated at the restaurant? How many restaurants did you prepay for? I would just get the credit card company involved ,they will figure out everything for you. You paid for services not given. The op already posted this in another thread this same issue right after they got off ship- didn’t really answer anybody’s comments except to say that the restaurant told him they canceled the reservation and didn’t have room to accommodate them due to operational reasons . sounds??? ....
  7. Looks like the op is on the cruise now and tour desk is not helpful? Agree if only a walker should be able to book an available tour.
  8. Perhaps you can enlighten us about why you want to see the dining room manager on embarkation day?Others that Have had the same experience might be able to help you or direct you to the right answer.
  9. On embarkation day the International dining room should be open noon to 1:30 pm. f1jon- try to find D.R. manager in that dining room.
  10. Princess also has self-serve laundries on board ( on most if not all decks) so consider that as well ,it’s a great feature. About three dollars to wash and $3.00 to dry and if you bring your own soap with you ,you save on that expense.
  11. Try looking and/or posting on the family cruising section of cruise critic. This is a sample from somebody’s cruise from the treehouse for ages 3 to 7 to give an idea of what activities are available for that age range. How exciting a move and taking a ship to do so. I think just bring plenty of your child’s favorite things and go with the flow. Maybe sometimes they will want to go to the children’s program ,maybe sometimes they’ll like to be with you .but What a great way to travel either Way in my opinion. We started out our son traveling international at eight weeks of age and many more trips throughout his childhood. He is Now in his 30’s. You might get more responses from people that have actually done a long cruise with children under the family section. But I doubt that there will be very many children on your cruise, but that can be ok in my opinion. I know you said your child is not three yet but will be when you cruise ,just be mindful that your child must be three and toilet trained to participate in the program without you being there.
  12. Maybe Royal Princess vs. Royal Caribbean Ovation of the seas ship??
  13. Done a few of these, agree you will be too far out to see much, except when pulling into or out of port and you will be busy doing “fun stuff” inside and outdoors on your cruise to notice.
  14. Op/author-Definitely bring proof that you paid ( I.e. credit card statement)for specialty dining at Sabatini’s or your original reservation copy just in case things don’t rectify themselves on the app or if Sabatini’s does not have your name,Cabin, and or time of reservation noted. Difficult for anybody once you’re on board to sort out if you don’t have proof that you paid for it ,otherwise there would be a lot of people saying well I paid for it already when they in reality didn’t .
  15. TracieABD- glad you decided to blog on this cruise, looking forward to reading.
  16. Unless this youtube author is inadvertently naming the wrong room or the wrong ship ,this is suppose to be Discovery Princess s108. I definitely wouldn’t believe people on here. I would definitely call your travel agent or princess and that’s to the OP or the author of this thread.
  17. Are the window suites that you’re looking/ booked on the discovery princess are they on the sundeck( S107 and S108?) I believe 108 is an accessible cabin and there is no sofa and I think 107 is a regular Windows suite and it does accommodate three people . I am assuming you’ve checked with your travel agent and or princess ? Or you booked online? Even if you booked online you can always transfer your booking to a travel agent ,someone that you can speak to on the phone or email, “ that’s got your back “and that way you can always ask questions to them. have you looked at YouTube for a video of that room ? So if you booked already for 3 people in the cabin, I don’t think it would let you book for that many people if there was not accommodations for that many. I think ??this is a very special and limited suite option on the discovery princess so probably not many people have information on this category of room.
  18. MDR- Sit down table service, usually takes about an hour or so. The operating hours are in the Patter/ newsletter or I believe now on the app. Breakfast usually closes about 9 AM ,sometimes 930. And I would say lunch is usually noon to 1:30pm. I can’t say it enough ,the Patter or the app ( I have not cruised with the medallion yet ) tells you everything ,look there for information . Plenty of people post the Patters and menus in their live from‘s. So I’ve read quite a few Patters/menus since the restart . For breakfast they serve chilled juices, fresh fruit, compotes, cereals, yogurt, egg dishes, from the sea which is smoked salmon/ cream cheese on a bagel , pancakes, bacon, ham, sausage, hashbrowns and bakery items. There is usually two specials of the morning. An example would be Maine blueberry pancakes and Alaska scrambler. Lunch is a few appetizers, a few entrée choices, and dessert choices. You order it all at once for lunch. We are usually main dining room people ,we like to be served on vacation .we do the buffet very occasionally
  19. PaperSniper4- well a mini suite is not a full suite on Princess, so I doubt you’ll get any help printing your boarding pass out by guest services/ purser or suite concierge since you don’t qualify for that. But I guess you may ask. Do you have Internet minutes ?like do you have a package? If not just go to the Internet café hopefully ,somebody can help you check in for your flight and print yourself a boarding pass. As others have said check out EZ check. I’ve never used it so I never thought of it for a way to check in and boarding pass. I know that there’s a fee for this service just so others don’t think you can just go to Guest services and get this.
  20. In general Princess theater shows are first show 7:30 pm to 8:15 pm and second show 9:30pm to 10:15pm. Itinerary may differ in this.
  21. You could ask someone on the current roll call or the next one to post The Sapphire Princess Patters,or to look for you. Or just wait till you get on board and book your dining times according to what shows you want to see. The production shows are totally different times than the shows in the lounges.
  22. Just so you know Princess uses an S category( not C2) for their Suites . so are you in an S2 room on Princess and what ship? Others may be able to answer based upon that. You might be able to get concierge or guest services to print out your boarding pass for you if you’re in a suite, Regular room no. If you go to the Internet café ,that is if they’re still have one on your particular ship you can possibly print out items ,there may be a fee involved. Of Course you would have to have Internet access to do this. And if you’re on Southwest Airlines trying to check in at exactly 24 hours ,don’t think Princess would do that for you at all. Can you imagine everyone that has a flight going 24 hours before to guest services/ pursers to have this done ,next to impossible.
  23. Cruzin4 us- love your thread. Appreciate all your thoughts and your “ blog” ,it’s very good.Keep posting.
