  1. No, it doesn't. That's just for suites.
  2. Club Class is definitely worth it to us on the Royal Class ships if we can get one of our favorite M6 cabins. Otherwise, probably not.
  3. We only did one cruise with Celebrity, quite a few years back. It wasn't terrible, but I've had no incentive to go there again.
  4. I feel your pain on this, but it's always been like this - some promotions are for new bookings only. Since your sailing date, assuming it's the year, is within the penalty phase and you speak of canceling, I suppose you must have Princess platinum insurance or some other that lets you cancel for any reason. If it's Princess insurance, canceling for a non-covered reason gives you a credit on account, not a refund. Are you aware of that? I hope you won't let this sour you on Princess permanently. We've had some really great cruises on Princess over the years.
  5. I went to add my new passport into the app. Deleted the old one and scanned the new one worked fine. The scan, of course, picked up my first and middle name, as well as last name. I can't get the app to accept my middle name. If I remove it, the app's perfectly happy. Put it back in, and I get an error message that the first name has to be valid. I looked at my hubby's setup in the app, and his first and middle name show up in the first name box. Our passport info has been set up in the app/the previous incarnation of the app for several years. What have the rest of you seen on this? My name as is in the app is first and last only (since I couldn't get it to take middle) while the scan clearly shows first, middle, last. Is this going to turn around and bite me?
  6. We did our first and probably last suite cruise last Fall on the Ruby. There was a piece of paper in our cabin directing us to call for a reservation.
  7. You should be able to do it online. They ran a pilot program that ended a couple of weeks before I needed to get moving on things. I dithered around a bit on whether to hold off, since they said it would be back sometime this Fall. Decided it was safer to just get things rolling. Then they opened online renewals again a couple of weeks after I sent mine in.
  8. People ask about this from time to time, so I thought I would share my experience. I sent off the renewal for expedited processing on Thursday, 9/15/22, USPS priority 2 to 3 days. They received it on Monday, 9/19/22. I got a notification on Tuesday of this week that it had been approved and was being printed. I had it in the mail today. I paid for priority mail return. Happy camper here.
  9. Yes, you can get coffee drinks at Coffee and Cones with your package. I think they have just brewed coffee as well, but I've only gotten specialty coffees there.

Wow! Some angry people there, and I don't blame them.
  11. I would book one of these like a shot if only I weren't so cheap. Seriously, that front corner is my favorite location. I love large, front-facing windows.
  12. We've stayed in these, and we think the configuration is great. The bedroom area is set aside from the living room, sliding glass door, and bathroom. That allows my hubby to get up way too early, as he always does, and lets him move around quite a lot without bothering me. I don't know what video you saw, where it looked like these are just a big square, but that's not how they are at all.
  13. C409 shows as a connecting cabin on Cruise Deckplans. Are you aware of that?
  14. I'm sure some people will say you'll make, and I think you probably might. But I wouldn't book one that early. Any number of things could go wrong and cause you to miss it.
  15. There certainly has been different, but it's a personal point of view about what's better. If you like the idea of some OBC and the $1 deposit, you've basically got nothing to lose by booking a cruise that you like. If a better deal, in your opinion, comes along then you can always switch over to that.
  16. There's no catch that I know of. You can always book a cabin now and then get it repriced later on if you see a better deal. I think you'll need to pay whatever deposit is applicable at that time. A refare switches you over to whatever deals apply at that time.
  17. We haven't stayed in a cabin in that location on the Discovery, but we did on another ship. The only time we really heard any noise was the sailaway party. Other than that, no problems.
  18. You just need to run the math for your individual situation. We don't drink, we don't want any more photos of us on or around a ship, we share on half-price internet package, and it's doubtful we'd want the gifts. So, obviously not worth it to us. But it might be to you. Do the math, leaving out any notion of "gifts" and that ought to give you a better handle on it.
  19. If you mean the mini bar setup, it for sure is worth something to us! We're non-drinkers, so we don't buy plus or premier. The mini bar setup gets us two coffee packages, and that's a really nice benefit for us.
  20. I was on the Carnival Jubilee in 1991, and that's what they did for that eclipse. We had a wonderful viewing out at sea.
  21. That's my understanding.
  22. Company websites many times lag way behind reality. Whoever provided the updated deckplans to Cruise Deckplans probably also provided them to the website team. Probably the website will get updated eventually, and probably things will change a lot in what we're seeing on Cruise Deckplans. Probably.
