  1. The President's Cruise for 2022 was the Greek Isles, on the Beyond. It was just a few weeks ago . The webinar is a recap of that one. I think the emails go out to Captain's Club members, though anyone can book the cruise.
  2. It was just announced that the President's Cruise is June 23 2023 on the Solstice. I would guess they'll do some sprucing up before then. I wonder if there's any time off its schedule before then.
  3. Got an email today that the next President's Cruise is June 23, 2023 on the Solstice to Alaska. Booked it ! Maybe a spur of the moment booking, but I'm excited about it ! We were thinking of visiting our daughter in Port Angeles, WA as our summer trip next year, so this cruise just adds to the fun. Any insight from people who've sailed on a previous President's Cruise would be appreciated.
  4. @Norwaylady This is a wonderful travel diary ! The pictures are beautiful. Thanks for taking us along with you. Our first cruise ever was Alaska in 2003. This brings back memories. I'm looking forward to the rest of the journey, I think it's going to make me add another long cruise to the "must do" list.
  5. This is great information! We often ask for the vegetarian menu to see some new options. Never thought to ask for the kids' menu. The vegetables with hummus and ranch as a starter sounds delicious. And the 4 oz filet mignon to complement certain main courses will definitely by an option for my husband.
  6. This subject has bothered me enough that I'm going to defend my point some more. Those who are conflating drinking with the downfall of Celebrity are insulting a lot of theiir fellow cruisers who have done nothing to ruin the cruise experience of others. I've been on Cruise Critic since 2003, first sailed Celebrity in 2006, went exclusively to Celebrity since 2017. I read and love so many posts, reviews, life reports, from people of all ages, all stateroom classes, and every walk of life and many countries. You know what makes so much of the Celebrity CC board great. People usually don't insult and show distain for their fellow passengers ( except for those who wear shorts in the MDR😀). My husband and I are in our 50s, retired due to my husband's hard work as an air traffic controller and ,as always, some good luck in life. For his entire career, we didn't drink. We never even had a bottle of liquor in the house. These days, we have a drink or 2 maybe once a week. Now, part of our cruise fun is food and drink, and sometimes more drink. One reason i love Celebrity is because cruise directors and staff aren't "party party party" 24/7. Wasn't in 2006, still isn't in 2022. But if we want to dance, drink, laugh with a bunch of other drunks and cheer at the Martini flair bartenders , there are places to do it. In the past 8 cruises, my husband has twice missed 6 pm dinner on embarkation day because he's napping in a chair at the Sunset Bar after a few pina coladas. Now we joke about it. Sorry if that has ruined the golden age of Celebrity for you.. But we have met the most amazing people over drinks on Celebrity Cruises. And even more great people while smoking cigars while drinking at Sunset Bar , but I'm sure that's not a controversial subject😀
  7. Welcome to Celebrity ! I didn't mean to look down on other cruise lines 😀. I called them entry level because people think they are cheaper, but for me, once we figure in everything that gets added on , the Celebrity cruise with All Included comes out cheaper. We are interior to occasional balcony cruisers and it's awesome! Celebrity to us always has felt a bit more refined, but not stuffy. And , where some people say Celebrity doesn't have enough entertainment, I don't agree. Some other lines, the party comes to you whether you like it or not. On Celebrity, every day there are events with dj's, dancing, fun social drinking , if that's what you're in the mood for But there's also bars and lounges where you can just chill or talk , or read or whatever.
  8. Celebrity is still as great as when we first sailed on it in 2006, and in our opinion, worlds above the "entry level" cruiselines. Maybe if it's not up to your standards anymore and you don't want to sail with riff-raff like me, it's time for you to move on.
  9. My husband and I are two of those drunk passengers. It has never made us rude to the staff or loud ( except when we are in a loud environment like The Club. We cruise Celebrity exclusively, for many reasons including its fantastic drink packages. I have posted in a recent thread about bars on the Equinox and how we can drink all day .....and we do have days where drinking and smoking cigars and watching the horizon is our day. And sometimes if the seas are rough being drunk helps me walk a straight line ! I don't see any change in the marketing demographic. Celebrity has had these great drink packages for years. And the worst passengers we've seen on Celebrity over the years haven't been drunk ( usually quite amicable or goofy) but those people who want everything just so or they give crap to the poor staff.
  10. Never apologize on Cruise Critic ! We all post errant information sometimes! 😀
  11. We sailed on Edge twice since the restart and they've had both the Full Moon party and the Silent Disco. We were surprised but happy that group events like this were held!
  12. Thanks for your response to my questions! We are looking at 2024, waiting for schedule to come out hopefully November. This itinerary looks great, as does the Summit's trips from NY to Iceland. I can't wait to see what Celebrity offers for 2024, but im guessing they're all good! The Northern lights must be incredible. Great luck getting to see it.
  13. Slush ! A fun little bar on Equinox, right outside the Solarium starboard side. Only open a few hours a day in the afternoon.
  14. https://profcruise.com/celebrity-menus/ I found this while searching. It has all the dining menus, and then, keep scrolling and has some bars' menus . It's from the Millennium so not all bars are the same, but I appreciated looking at the MDR dinner menus too . Those are the same on all M and S class ships.
  15. What did you think of the itinerary ? Was there good sightseeing? Was the weather cool?
  16. We are on the Apex on April 15. I think I saw you on our Roll Call ! Thank you for taking us all along on a wonderful journey for this past month or so. I have learned so much !
  17. You didn't see that second post of mine. Mornings are in the solarium with a drink from the pool bar 😀
  18. I am trying not to overthink this since our b2b is in December, but what type of tests do they do for theb2b passengers? Is it antigen? Is it done like the home tests?
  19. I agree with others here, the Ensemble Lounge is nice ,too. Sometimes we go there when music is scheduled, it's a nice intimate setting . I thought my earlier post was getting too long-winded so I left out a few 😀 A personal favorite is to spend the morning on one of the double loungers in the Solarium with a nice cold drink from the pool bar. A Tequila Sunrise definitely counts as a breakfast beverage. And the rare hours that it is open, Slush right outside the Solarium starboard side has delicious frozen drinks. A real treat only available on the Equinox and I think the Eclipse. Can you tell we make very very good use of our drink package😋
  20. Great info! I never dine at Sushi on 5 , so i feel like i miss out on their drink selection. I'll ask for the pear drink at World Class in December !
  21. Afternoon at the Sunset bar with a pina colada and a cigar and a good book. Passport bar before dinner for a light drink . Martini bar after dinner for an espresso martini and great music in the atrium. Sky lounge for their wacky horoscope drinks and dancing late at night. Craft Social for cider when there's sports on the TVs. World Class bar when i feel like drinking something fun that i cant get anywhere else on or off the ship. Cafe al Bacio anytime i need to recharge and relax, with anything caffeinated, alcohol or not.
  22. A very sad day . She devoted her life to service and duty in a world that vastly changed during her lifetime and her reign. My condolences to all those who love and respect her.
