  1. Yes you need a backup plan or you won’t be cruising
  2. in another thread the OP said the cruise is in one month. Must be Summit out of Boston
  3. If I understand the OPC question correctly it is how does one prove that you have a drink package. At boarding day, you should see the correct code on your boarding pass which you can view on the app. When you get on the ship, the code will be on your SeaPass card. Look for CALL or PALL, classic and premium. If you do not have the code on your card, go to guest relations and they will either print you a new card or they will apply a sticker to your card showing your beverage package. At that point, all you need to do is show the card to a server. At that point, all you need to do is show the card to a server. Or give the server your room number. They can access the information and they will know which package you have even without showing the card.
  4. You are never out of place when you dress up on chic night and you will not be the only one.
  5. If there’s no availability, then there’s no availability. There won’t be any “move up” in that situation
  6. Please keep on top of Celebrity’s requirements in its webpage. It’s an ever changing situation but right now a proctored antigen test the day before fulfills the requirements.

  8. Maybe this is so on some cruise lines but not on Celebrity where there is no restriction regarding using Shareholder OBC for crew gratuities.
  9. Be sure to stay on top of the pre-cruise test requirement. get a printout of your test results and be sure to bring it with you.
  10. I can see you are stressed about this. As stated in your other thread , they have people at the pier. Do not fret. Staff there will get you checked in. show them your passport, your test results (from a monitored test) and your vaccination card and they will do the rest.
  11. Yes they have people at the pier. Do not fret. Staff there will get you checked in. show them your passport, your test results (from a monitored test) and your vaccination card and they will do the rest.
  12. There is confusion on this matter. Currently two different parts of the Celebrity website say two different things. It’s unclear to me if the change to two bottles per person was an error or if that is correct but they just haven’t updated the part where it says two bottles per state room. One poster here on Cruise Critic wrote that they had taken two bottles per person and were called to the naughty room. When they showed the regulations to the staff at guest relations, it was news to them that anything had changed. This makes me suspicious that the two per person was a typo of some sort. But you won’t know until you try.
  13. You need the test and you need to download the ArriveCAN app. If you are having trouble with other aspects of the check in, they will definitely take care of it at the port for you.
  14. Not available in Florida at this time. If the Luggage Valet programs returns you’ll see it announced here for sure.
  15. I have been told by both future cruise staff and by Captains Club staff that even though I am in the “no single supplement” promotion I will get double Captain’s Club staff. I hope they are correct.
  16. Are Celebrity employing you? Otherwise you are out of luck with your “age discrimination” lawsuit
  17. The law in each country could be very different. Since the shore excursions are run by local contractors, local laws will prevail.
  18. When you use a travel agent, the Travel agent controls the booking and Celebrity generally will not talk to you about its details. For booking a transfer from the ship to the airport, you take care of that on the ship not ahead of time. And yes that means that you don’t know the cost of it until you are on the ship and they tell you that the booking is available.
  19. Do you see my point. With the serious fire hazard, Celebrity and other cruise lines could make it very clear what is and isn’t allowed. And that they should make it very clear what is and isn’t allowed. A pre-cruise email would be a good start.
  20. It is not in the cruise contract. That’s my point. It’s not in the FAQ, it’s not in the “what not to bring” and it’s not in the “prohibited items” sections of the website.
  21. No they are not on the list and would not be included
  22. Yes they have Bloody Mary’s at the breakfast from 8-10 am
  23. On Summit now the senior officers party the last formal day, a sea day, at 7:30 pm. Earlier on Infinity it was in the afternoon on a sea day.
  24. My point was that electrical engineers and safety officers on board know that surge protectors are a fire hazard and they should clearly and emphatically make that known to passengers. The regulation should be front and center, not hidden in an FAQ, not that it’s there, or in the cruise contract, not that it’s there either at this stage. There are special statements in both places regarding drones, by contrast.
