  1. Most wasabi is just horseradish. I have a wasabi powder that I use to make our own when we have sushi. It's better that what the restaurant gives us. We had freshly prepared horseradish once at a restaurant and it was very good. I'm sure freshly prepared wasabi is good too.
  2. Did you see the one on the website?
  3. Thank you. My husband loves sushi but $12 wasabi makes me cringe. I'm thinking of taking my own.
  4. It looks like there are two different menus for Sushi on Five (at least on Summit.) The website has a prix fixe and the app has an al a carte menu. Does anyone know which is correct? Also, is the $12 wasabi worth it? Thanks!
  5. I hate post that use abbreviations. Just because someone is too lazy to type out an expression, I should have to google it? Usually, I just go to the next thread.
  6. We must be related. I have that sister too.
  7. I wouldn't use CheckMyTrip but you might want to try tripit
  8. Do you remember if the magician was named Nick? I can't remember his last name. We saw Nick on a cruise several years ago and I'd love to see him again.
  9. Our phones have a great camera, better than our underwater cameras so we bought this: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B097GYHLR2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  10. Thank you! I didn't remember why I booked it.
  11. That's not a bad idea. On our last Celebrity cruise, we asked our waiter to suggest a wine. He said "red for meat and white for fish?" I would hope that the sommelier would do better than that, but you never know
  12. I've seen this asked before but I've never seen an answer that wasn't speculation. Can we use the drink package to match wine to the courses at the Chef's Table? I know the wines offered with the Chef's Table are supposed to be better quality and higher priced than what we will get with the drink package but will the sommelier match wines for us? I was going to research comparable wines before our cruise but with the limited wines available there's no guarantee that the wines I choose will be available. Does anyone have any experience with this?
  13. I'm not a fan of buffets but every once in a while, we run into a surprise in the buffet. On our first Alaskan cruise, they had a whole flounder; on a Caribbean cruise, we had mussels and on our Alaskan cruise last year, they had the most amazing fruit assortment I've ever seen. I've always wanted to try star fruit, dragon fruit, Lychee and rambutan but we didn't expect to see them on the embarkation day buffet. We went back every day to see it they offered it again but it was just the one time.
  14. That's a shame. I've always wanted to try it but there were always scheduling conflicts.
  15. We used Uber which turned out to be a taxi. It worked fine and was cheap
  16. Out T-Mobile Magenta 55 (not max) has 5GB of mobile hot spot. It comes in handy sometimes.
