  1. Plan on about 90 minutes from PC to parking your cr at whichever park you choose.
  2. Luggage Lounge in South Beach will hold your bags for a fee while you explore.
  3. Arriving late into MIA and just want a bed for the night? Have never stayed there, but it is often suggested on this board as a budget option near MIA. Fairly isolated, so plan on pizza or Chinese delivery for dinner (or walk over to the Embassy Suites where dinner will cost approximately the same as your room rate at the La Quinta).
  4. YVE is often mentioned on this board. I addition to those hotels suggested above I would also check out the Intercontinental, Doubletree Biscayne and the next door Marriott.
  5. Looks like it's near MIA, but it's not the one in the Blue Lagoon neighborhood - must be out near Doral. Google maps is your friend - hard to find any place in Miami that is not near a Publix, Walgreen or CVS where you can stock up.
  6. Your other option is to use two one-way rentals; drop the first one off downtown and shuttle to POM, the second one gets you home. Compare the cost of parking to the cost (and hassle) of two rentals. A few hotels out near the MIA airport offer parking deals. La Quinta East is the budget option most often suggested. Factor in the approx $30 cab ride to the port and another cab ride to get back to your car.
  7. MIA to the ES near PE - I am betting that the cab fare will be closer to $75-80+ UberX or Lyft might be in the $50-60 range.
  8. Super Shuttle went out of business before Covid. Besides a taxi your options are Uber or Lyft or, if you can handle your own bags, the Tri-Rail train from MIA to the FLL area (call your hotel to verify which stop is closest) and then either a taxi or the hotel shuttle for the last mile or so. If this helps you owe me a pint - whatever bitter your local pours will be fine! 😎
  9. You may need to wait a minute or two for a van taxi to make its way to the front of the line.
  10. Book the dolphin thing as early as possible and then cab from there to Nachi. If some in your group don't want to make the dolphin stop, they can cab separately to Nachi. Taxis are well regulated on Cozumel (unlike the crooks in Philly! 😡).
  11. I would look into the Brightline train if I was flying out of PBI - much nicer than sitting in I-95 traffic and you have the time.
  12. 1. www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area hotel info. Common advice here is to not focus on shuttles as the distances are short and a taxi should be cheap (under $20 from FLL to PE) 2. You can ask the hotel you stay at pre-cruise or check www.resortpass.com for hotels/resorts offering day passes to their pool/beach/spa facilities - tip them to store your bags while you swim, relax and grab lunch/drinks.
  13. No problems with space - those just getting off the ship will leave lots of open spaces in your garage.
  14. There are some day pass web site you can check - between9and5.com is one. Resortpass.com will connect you with hotels selling day passes to their pool/spa/beach facilities - if you can work poolside or in the business center it might work for you.
  15. Depending upon traffic about 15-20 minutes. Uber should be a few dollars cheaper than a cab.
  16. CORTRANS is another often suggested shared shuttle option between MCO and Cocoa Beach/PC. A one-way car rental is also an option. The later you arrive in Orlando, the fewer shared shuttle options you will find. You might consider staying near MCO and then making your way to the port in the morning.
  17. Several stores and restaurants within walking distance.
  18. La Quinta East and a couple of hotels in the Blue Lagoon area near MIA (Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites) used to offer cruise parking packages. Check parksleepfly.com and stay123.com for other options.
  19. Taxi or Uber/Lyft are your best options. Taxi meter form MIA airport hotels should be about $30+ - Uber should be cheaper unless surge pricing drives up the cost. Or check with Larry's Limos and arrive in style!
  20. You should bring those
  21. I also LOVE the Doubletree, but only some of the rooms offer a view of the port. Choose your room wisely - you may need to pay extra for the view. Plus the pool area t the hotel is great! If you want a hotel with a view of the ocean/beach you will need to stay in Miami Beach.
  22. For and 11:00 flight you need to be at MIA by about 9:00 - earlier is better with the typical TSA chaos (Clear? Precheck?). The cab ride from POM to MIA takes about 20 minutes - so that translates into off the ship, with bags, and clear of customs/immigration by about 8:30 or earlier. Carry your bags off and you should be okay.
  23. Taxi should be about $30 on the meter - Uber or Lyft should be less unless surge pricing affects pricing.
  24. I would add Paradise Beach to the list - your kids will love the HUGE pool and beach toys.
