  1. Playa Mia has a kiddie water park, nice beach and is sometimes part of a ship sponsored excursion - so you can ride the bus instead of dealing with a taxi and car seats.
  2. SuperShuttle went out of business pre-Covid. I'm not aware of any shuttles that regularly service MIA (licensing issues?). Airport Flyer bus should get you to South Beach for under $5
  3. Welcome to the boards! 😎 UberX or standard Lyft for about $50+ is likely you best bet.
  4. Resortpass.com will connect you to hotels and resorts offering day passes to their pool, spa and beach facilities. Tip them to store your bags while you swim, relax and grab lunch.
  5. I would call the hotel for parking info.
  6. Yes they do. We always tip the ports $3-5 per bag and have never had an issue.
  7. Two taxis (including van cabs) from POM to MIA will run about $30+ per cab.
  8. For comparison, two taxis (including van cabs) form MIA area hotels to POM will run about $30+ each. Ask the hotel front desk to call the cabs - they know who is reliable.
  9. Airport Flyer bus is your best bet. Uber used to do shared rides?
  10. If you are coming from Daytona I would look at two one-way car rentals - leave your car at home and skip the parking fees.
  11. As Bruce mentioned, prices will vary with the tourist season - the $300+ room in Feb can go for under $100 in August. Besides the Brickell area hotels mentioned, we love the Doubletree (and next-door Marriott) with some rooms offering a view of the port - a great view to wake up to on your sailing date!
  12. resortpass.com will link you with hotels/resorts offering day passes to their pool/spa/beach facilities - tip them to store your bags while you swim, relax and grab lunch.
  13. I would look at other hotels and rates combined with booking your own transport. Lots of hotels in the PC area and several shared shuttle operators to choose from. Cocoa Beach Shuttle, Cruise Control and CORTRANS are suggested regularly on this board.
  14. I would grab the first taxi in line and promise the driver a good tip for the short trip.
  15. From past reports no downtown hotels offer port or airport shuttle service - expect to pay about $10-15 for a cab (you can see the port from the hotel).
  16. If you are in port 1:00-9:00 you will be lucky to be at WDW by 3:00, and would need to leave by about 6:30 or so. Enjoy Kennedy Space Center, everglades or Coco Beach
  17. Flat rate cab fare between MIA and POM was eliminated. Figure the meter fare will be about $30+. UberX or standard Lyft should be cheaper.
  18. Budget about $30+ for a Taxi and $20+ for Lyft or UberX
  19. TRi-Rail is an option for about $5 each as long as you can handle your own bags. Call your hotel to find out which stop is closest to your lodging - you'll need a taxi/Uber/shuttle for the last couple of miles.
  20. As mentioned above, just return the car and wait for the next shuttle. If this was a help you owe me a pint - do they still pour "heavy" at your local?
  21. Welcome to the boards! 😎 Car seats of booster seats are required if the vehicle has seat belts. The easy solution is to bring your own seat - that way you know it is sized correctly and has been well maintained. The airline will check the seat for free if you choose not to use it on your flight. If your toddler is big enough there are inflatable booster seats that will not take up much room in your stateroom and can be used at the various port visits. Some of the limo companies (South FLA limo and Larry's Limo are often suggested on this bord) may provide seats - for a price. 😬
  22. From South Beach you can take the Miami Airport Flyer bus to MIA for about $4 each. Uber and a taxi are also options from South Beach.
  23. Shuttle to the port - yes. To the airport - NO
