  1. Unless you were charged, means nothing- Your bid will be locked a day or so before the actual cruise. So no changes accepted.
  2. First- Hibachi definately- fun- then 150 central park, then chops, then Giovanni's or Jamies- We also have the unlimited dining and will do Chops twice, 150 Central park . Since ours is 9 nights- probably repeat Jamies also- My DH likes chops so that might be three nights- others maybe for lunch- New texas barbecue- Johnny rockets- etc. We will have breakfast in Costal Kitchen.
  3. We are also cruising in a couple of weeks- Hate the test- but as the cases of Covid are on the rise- we need to be diligent and continue. Many people do not report that they are covid positive so actual case must be much higher. Fortunately, all (most) guests are vaccinated and hopefully kids also now.
  4. I actually used to enjoy Labadee- one of our favorite ports. However, we prefer cococay. So much nicer- more to do for all ages. The Beach club is wonderful. Now the cabanas in Labadee (also Coco Cay) are so overpriced. We will not get one on our next trip. Would pay half of what they are asking.
  5. I bought that card on our last cruise- however the "starbucks" coffee is only the beans, not like a true starbucks store purchase. But better then the ships coffee.
  6. I would pay that. Seems like a good deal. If prices decrease, you can cancel and rebook. We buy that package and since we are diamond members, get four free alcoholic drinks a day which is plenty for us.
  7. The diamond lounge concierge she never said we could. Other diamond lounge members also complained. Yes cafe promenade. Clearly I sail too much! Overall, not our finest cruise. Old ship needs major renovations. I will stick to oasis class ships
  8. Glad we are Diamond members. We get four free alcoholic drinks a day. We took the refreshment package, so we get unlimited non alcoholic beverages. The cost was much more reasonable. and will work for us.
  9. Read reviews on cruise critic. I do no recall making any reservations in May.
  10. Early in the morning, Johnny Rockets quiet- makes omelettes- once the merry-go-round and slides working- very noisy.
  11. The concierge never told anyone who inquired. Don’t remember starbucks on that ship. The machine in the suite lounge not working sometimes either. Dry dock necessary!
  12. We were recently on the Adventure and most days the coffee machine was broken. People trying to fix it. Not worth anything. You can purchase an inexpensive coffee card and have a much better cup of coffee at sorrentos and enjoy with your family as you can both use the same card. I think it was good for 15 coffees. Including espresso and cappuccino. Only diamond and diamond plus allowed in the lounge.
  13. Never had a problem with Air2sea on celebrity or royal. We book first class and we can change the flight- Hope that not being able to modify isn't the policy going foward! We have a December and January b/2/b cruise and like the policy of not paying air until final payment for the cruise is due. Of course if no flights are available- we would have to fly out the next day and unfortunately pay for a hotel. Airlines today are so unreliable-change and canceling flights-due to staffing issues.
  14. CPV better, Quiet- peaceful- no noise from Merry go round-Aqua theater , rock climbing wall and slides.
  15. Maybe they are saving it for a star class person. Who knows We were once bumped on Celebrity in a specialty restaurant- by a large group.
  16. Agree about personal preference- however if you cannot sleep then that is a problem. I am a light sleeper and if I don't have enough sleep- it will ruin my cruise. However, some very young people can sleep through a hurricane- lucky them!
  17. They usually have a tip jar on the piano also
  18. I wouldn't book a guarantee unless a full suite GTY. You might be very lucky- or be over or under a noisy public place or venue. I do not like to gamble- Some people are very lucky- others not- The ships are now getting very crowded so it is likely that the "good" cabins are taken quickly.
  19. You cannot book until onboard. Easy to do just walking over to kiosk with restaurant personnel
  20. The alacart dining allowance is more then $20. I think $35. We do the plan and have it reserved for our august cruise. We will once on board book dinners
  21. Having sailed on the Royal Princess and NCL, I highly recommend celebrity. You will love the ambiance. Food much better IMO then the others, with the exception on Royal's specilty restaurants. You do not get messages all day on the loud speaker. No smoking indoors including the Casino. Our favorite ships are the S-class and Edge class. We are elite plus celebrity members and diamond on Royal. I do not think Princess and NCL are in the same class. I found both to be very crowded with mediocre food. Only the Haven on NCL is worthwhile- We stayed in the Haven, but when we left to go to other non-haven areas felt like steerage class.
  22. you need to call. My son, his wife and three kids sailed with us on the Oasis. They had a cabin that appeared to be a modified Junior suite suitable for 5. It was a very large cabin, with a little room that had bunk beds- suitable for two kids. The true Jr. SUite has a walk in closet and these cabins have bunks in what appeared to be the walk in closet with a curtain. The couch in the room was great for another child- These cabins are only available by calling the cruise line- of course, some two bedroom suites work, but are expensive. The 5 person modified jr. suite was cost effective.
  23. Maybe you made a generous bid. Did you compare to upgrading yourself?
  24. You can purchase a try and pack and bring with you if that makes it easier. We were on the AOS a few weeks ago and they were very short staffed- but you might find somebody to help you.
