  1. WJ, the most over packed place on the ship as everyone wants lunch and then just sit until cabins open. Hit the Starlounge and have one of your unencumbered family members bring you some eats from the WJ or Cafe promenade.
  2. They then ask for your cc number to give you a credit, pretty reliable scam.
  3. A lot of people will tell you it is not suitable for kids.. Gets slightly raunchy at times.. but fun
  4. Deck 5 Starlounge, plenty of comfortable chairs , couches and tables and it will be 99% empty.
  5. Shows in the theater twice a night around 7 and then again around 9:30, I believe in Europe the ice show is once or twice in the afternoon. Check your app in a month or so to see the actual times. If they have Quest in studio B ... don't miss it.
  6. Have not used it but here it is..3... Port Valet is Complimentary, Convenient, and Secure The Port of Seattle is pleased to offer complimentary luggage transfer from the ship to your airline at the end of your cruise. Port Valet highlights: To take advantage of the Port Valet service, your departure flight must be on the same day you disembark the ship. Receive your boarding pass before leaving your ship Enjoy streamlined disembarkation Enjoy Seattle luggage free! Skip baggage lines at the airport Track your bags for peace of mind Port Valet is a complimentary luggage service sponsored by the Port of Seattle and our cruise line and airline partners.
  7. You can go to guest services or ask your room steward for a lower tag number if needed. We usually ask for a 1 - 3 tag, and then walk off when we are ready
  8. I have been watching some of the Tiktokers on Youtube.. What a bunch of crybabies, glad to hear the cruisers are doing fine and enjoying the World cruise.
  9. No age limit for kids menu, my wife orders the hot fudge Sunday from the kids menu many times in MDR. No age limit for MDR meals for anyone.
  10. Easter break, Spring break, lots of college kids out of school, Parents have no problem taking their kids out of school for two weeks. End of Sep cruising slows down everywhere making a Oct TA a great cruise. Last TA we took was on Symphony for the inaugural crossing, there were less that a dozen kids under 16 on that cruise. We did a Vancouver to Hawaii last Sep. and I would guess only a dozen or so kids on that cruise. Long cruises out of season are our go to months.
  11. We have done 6 sailings on Oasis Class, have always found them to feel much less crowded than the smaller ships.
  12. Things are changing. Eastbound TA'S on Oasis Class ships are sailing with loads of kids. Westbound sailings are pretty much kid free. We have done 1 east bound and 2 westbound on Oasis Class, far fewer cruisers on westbound and much better weather coming back in Oct as the seas are still warm.
  13. Tried and a total fail with Carnival. So many complaints they tweaked the program to allow two purchases with sea pass card until muster is completed. Still have dozens that fail to show up every cruise. .
  14. Just mention it to the Maitre D. They will visit you each night at the end of your meal and go over everything on the menu for the following night. My wife has allergies and the staff is overwhelming with help and suggestions. So much so that she no longer talks to them about allergic reactions. Same pretty much holds true for the Windjammer Managers.
  15. I used to like having bagels and espresso up stairs while looking out the window.
  16. Is the Crown Lounge on Allure still two story. Pretty sure it will be moved to the dungeon after its next dry dock.
  17. Kids menu in MDR has cheeseburgers every meal. Easy to build your own Cheeseburger in the Windjammer. Pretty sure room service has cheeseburgers. Chops has a great lunch burger.
  18. Just talking about the sail away party, lots of appetizers, free flowing champagne, and a few other drinks. D and above and no vouchers needed to be used.
  19. Be sure to book all the show, days and times, about 30 days before sail date, Use the cruise planner or possibly the app. Use the app to do the video checkin for the muster drill, once onboard it only takes a minute to just physically checkin at your muster station. No charge breakfast at Johnny Rockets every morning, it is a Oasis Class perk. Uber is cheaper and better transportation getting from and back to the airport.
  20. What ship.. this is from Quantum deck 6. It would be awful for us.
  21. Biggest problem is Royal has almost nothing to do with the Royalup program, it is run by a third party that contracts with many cruise lines and hotels. Take anything Royal tells you with a large grain of salt.
