  1. Do you have an’Booked’ tab above your booked excursions then an ‘Available’ tab to the right of the ‘Booked’ tab? That’s above the excursions I haven’t booked, and the use OBC item is right under the Available heading when I choose it.
  2. This is what I see when I click on theExcursions Paper/pencil icon, then click on the ‘Available’ tab. It’s right at the top.
  3. Me too and I assume that’s what the email is referring to. That item has been at the top of the excursions list on my upcoming cruise for quite a long time.
  4. I think it is the Pursuit that is having the (possibly) norovirus problem.
  5. May be easier for them to find all the available wines in Discoveries MDR
  6. Cruise Critic won’t let us mention TAs by name. We use our daughter who is a self-employed TA who is a consultant with a national travel company.
  7. Our two last Azamazing evenings were ashore, both in hotel grounds, neither very inspiring locations. The one in Colombo was an excellent show with great drummers, dancers and musicians and a very good video background, but getting there was not good. Having asked the VIP guests to go to the buses, the rest of us were left waiting well over 45 minutes before any further announcements were made, then we queued for ages to get on the bus - not good when, like my DH, you find it very difficult to stand. The other one was in Aqaba and was OK, but not very ‘Azamazing’. I hope our Walvis Bay ‘Azamazing Evening Onboard’ is considerably better than described by ECCruise above.
  8. On the other hand maybe we shouldn’t be too surprised that the price has gone up. I don’t know about in other parts of the world but in the UK drink prices have gone up a lot, along with everything else. The wines we mostly drink have gone up about 30% over the last 18 months or so, and spirits are dearer too.
  9. Ours on our forthcoming Cape Town to Canaries cruise on Pursuit was recently changed to onboard. It’s African musicians and I’m sure it will be good, but the initially promised drive into the Namibian desert would have been better.
  10. Be interested to hear from people on other ships to see if this increase applies to all ships, or is it a trial on one to see how it goes?
  11. Have you tried a different browser? I use Safari on an IPad. When I click on the paper/pencil icon, then the ‘available’ tab I see the excursions with ‘Book’ in a blue oval
  12. Sorry to hear this, I wish you all good luck going through the storm!
  13. if you click the paper/pencil icon on the right you can see more cabins than the one they allocate you.
  14. Great review with excellent information about tours! Thank you.
  15. Remember you need to click on the pencil/paper icon on the right hand side of the excursions page, then click on the ‘Available’ tab.
  16. Yes, I think it’s $75 a head, but it’s in their Ts & C’s.
  17. We’ve done the southerly route twice in October - Lisbon/Brazil & vice versa and had great weather and calm seas, don’t know about your northerly route tho’.
  18. If it costs $50, Azamara will charge you if they get it. If you get it yourself, just make sure you tell them as soon as you get onboard so you don’t get charged twice.
  19. Another tip is to bring some hanging storage which you can hang on the hooks on the inside of the bathroom door. I use these for all my bottles, like suntan cream etc.
  20. Firstly you will find many of your questions answered in the topic ‘Tips for Azamara Newbies’ and it’s associated spreadsheet. To answer some of your questions - never been in an interior cabin so can’t help you about them, but Oceanview and Verandah cabins are generally the same size (except for the addition of the balcony). Both have small bathrooms with very small showers with shower curtains - in our opinion small but adequate. There are 4 larger Oceanview cabins - the last ones on the front end of the port and starboard corridors on decks 6 (6004 & 6005) & 7 (7006 & 7007).they are next Verandah cabins and have the Verandah space incorporated into the cabin. They have a large round window. The obstructed view Oceanview cabins on Deck 6 are a little smaller that the other Oceanview cabins. Included drinks are available any time (not just at meals). They include specific spirits (E.g Gordon’s & Beefeater gin, Famous Grouse whisky, Smirnoff & Finlandia vodka, a draught beer and some bottled beers, a couple of red and white wines, a rose and a sparkling wine. Speciality coffees are included and soft drinks. Tips are included. We don’t think the movement is too bad in rough seas, but we’ve not been on a ship bigger than about 1200 passengers.
  21. Uktog was the originator of the spreadsheet so she may be able to help.
  22. HOHO bus is a good option in many ports.
  23. Obviously it’s your choice, but I wouldn’t open it up, too much potential for it to get messed up. What is useful is making sure people know what you need to know by reposting the list of questions they need to answer ( cabin number, ship, sailing month & date, would you choose the room again, noise, balcony, size, other comments). Hope you had a good time in Breckenbridge.
  24. No need to stay on the ship. If you do a bit of research you should be able to source some tours from independent providers at a much more reasonable price. For example we did an overnight tour from Safaga in Egypt to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings that was half the price of the Azamara tour and we used the same hotel and went to the same sites as Azamara.
