  1. Fix the chairs (red) for planetarium use to recline. Major paint over those noticeable rust spots all talk about. Some of the carpets. Better chairs for Britannia Club balconies. Offer illy pod coffee Makers for Britannia Club Cabins. Better internet service To name a few...
  2. The pier is behind the Princess ship at the dock and our QM2 had to stay in the harbor and tendered the passengers to land behind the ship. The towns people entertaining the passengers...
  3. We were there last September on a 14 day sailing. It is a very little town that we had to tender to from the QM2. A Princess Ship was docked pier side. It is a cute town and quaint with little shops along there Main Street. I unfortunately don't remember any ship board tours or excursions offered so we just walked around and visited the shop and seen the sites. On the day we were there, there was a street and town festival with the locals entertaining the two ships passengers. It is a very nice town with very cordial residents that helped all.
  4. We were advised and used our Credit Cards and the CC bank on the next bill converts the value from Canadian to US currency. You will see many vendors shy away using US money. That is why we don't search for exchanging currencies.
  5. That's they use for Baked Alaska....
  6. Enjoy a Good Apple Pie because I make it and all enjoy it. I use Honeycrisp's from the Hudson Valley off the farm. I do love others like Blueberry with NJ Blueberries also in season from the farm stand. If cake, German Chocolate Cake w the recipe from the back of the Baker's Chocolate product.
  7. As a point of view, I don't think of considering a Florida port since the fuel cost to the north is very expensive. I know NYC and Boston have sailings.
  8. Our Port of NYC has a number of Lines that offer sailings in the Fall to NE/CAN, Our particular line is Cunard with the QM2. We visited Halifax, Boston, Sydney, Sept Iles, Sagnarney and we stayed in Quebec for three days on the ship. Some also go to Bar Harbor, Cornerbrook, Portland to name a few. Do you research. I know many we know like to do a day or two at the Departure Port to tour and then take the cruise. Good Luck on your decision.
  9. Since we live here, of course NYC.... Because we like the number of Days At Sea to enjoy the view and also activities you lose when in port before arriving at the Port of Call for the trip.
  10. The Concierge on the QM2 was very nice. Her name Henrietta and was very response to all our needs. We did give her enough time when we asked so she had time to accomplish the tasks. She made calls to the Pursers Office without her waiting on line on the Second Floor
  11. Sea Day are ours on the Cunard Calendar
  12. Have to check my voyage.....I have 3 on my trip.
  13. Agree since the Grill gives you the opportunity to do so. We did it in September in PG. After boarding we were ready for a sit down meal. It's not the opportunity you get in regular Britannia when tables are first used on the first evening. So enjoy your QG lunch. We will most likely introduce our guest sailing with us to KC or Carinthia.
  14. Got to give it a try.....
  15. I always go for F&C but very rarely change. Chicken Tikka sounds interesting but is it spicy or hot? Steak and Mushroom Pie was my alternative never tried. Have think what to try this coming sailing.
  16. We have sailed on the Cunard Line since the beginning of the 1990's and find the passengers to be a mature and considerate to fellow passengers. We have never had a problem on a Cunard vessel and favor the QM2. Passengers that pay quite a price for a sailing definitely want to enjoy the experience and associate with those around them. No one wishes to distrub anothers vacation or holiday. We sailed on the QM2 this past September which I would say was the tail end of the C-19 Pandemic. Now it's be consider endemic but still shows it face around. I know we still see reports on board. But with allergies and viruses are also still around. I am sorry you had to experience theses incidents which would have made us sick also even being retired healthcare workers. IMHO.... I do think each line does have a character of it's own with the passengers it attracts. We personally don't care for these ships called Mega Size. Please research the lines and destinations you would like to sail too and read the reviews of others. I know there is no one source that can guarantee a perfect experience.
  17. I know what you mean. We on a regular basis find it challenging. People sitting with a drink looking out the windows. I think if there is a trivia or bingo game at 11, come towards the end and run for the tables opening. We never got to try on ED since the room is close to Deck 7 so why go down below. I know we had a friend that found eating in Carinthia more than the others for Breakfast and Lunch. Oh well, with bring a new friend first time this sailing, not sure where we will land. Feel sorry since QG & PG open at 1 on ED, why can't Britannia Club open too. They know our table seating for the evening and the rest of the sailing, why not open. Maybe the kitchens are open yet.
