  1. Yes you can give extra tipping via your onboard account. See guest services for the form. I have not used the form as I extra tipping is done in cash.
  2. We tip following extra cash tips to the butler (personal retreat host), Luminae waitstaff, Retreat bartender. I will also tip a bartender in the Oceanview cafe or sunset bar. If they get my favorite premium wine on hand for lunch during the cruise.
  3. The older photo and video are from Millie. We have sailed in 6132 and 6122. Photo from 6132 looking forward. The balcony with a chair you see at the end of the video is sky suite 6132. We have Infinity booked for April 2023 in sky suite 6122. I'm not concerned about my view being obstructed or the condition of Infinity. But that is my thoughts. VID_20180327_083201420.mp4
  4. I looked up next weeks Solstice sailing. Evening Chic is day 2 and 6.
  5. We did the Vancouver Hop On/Hop Off last month. We stayed 2 days in Vancouver BC after our cruise. What I like most was Granville Island Public Market.
  6. It was a number of years ago. I was in MC on Millie before covid and before being revolutionized. I sat down in my normal area and started to cross my legs and put my foot on the corner of the chair across from me. My 1st thought was (Richard you dont put your foot on furniture). But as I looked at the chair and that corner of the chair was thread worn. I still did not put my foot on the corner of the chair. It made me smile and feel at home. To me that is the feeling you should have when in MC or The Retreat. Over the revolutionized hospital operating room feeling. We were just on Millie in a suite last month. The Retreat was nicer and the furniture was more conformable that I thought it would be. I still think that chairs should have armrests. Except in the Sky Suites where the chair will not slide under the deck because of the arms on the chair.
  7. Hi Chuck, One of the problems I have found with Celebrity is that sometime employees on the ships take things into their own hands. It is not the norm to make reservations in Blu or Luminae. Seems like the maitre d is doing their own thing. Our cruise in Aqua/Blu last year on Millie we showed up later than our normal time. We were given the pod that buzz's and the 4 us were seating after a short wait. After board you could go and see if the Blu maitre d is at Blu. To see how the maitre d is handling Blu dining. I would talk to the maitre d in Blu or Luminae if your party dining together is more than 4. Just a heads up for the maitre d. What I have found is trying to show up about the same time for dinner each night will get you the same table and servers.
  8. Celebrity added cabins 3115-3127 near Tuscan Grille. If you look at non refurb vers refurb you will see that these cabins were added. Celebrity moved the entrance of TG and you lost the private dinning room in TG. Inside cabins were added also to other decks.
  9. Check out the photos of the items you can make with prices.
  10. It is showing up on our Sept 2022 cruise planner under internet for Solstice.
  11. I ordered spaghetti noodles with green pesto for the following evening.
  12. We were just on a Alaska sailing this month. The only thing I saw was men wearing baseball caps in doors (Not in a dining room). But that is not against the dress code. While I think eating breakfast outside of your cabin in pajamas is not something I would do. I don't see it as a violation of the dress code. I did see people turned away from the helicopter pad because of open toe shoes and or slippers. What I like about Celebrity is their dress code. I would like to wear my jeans at dinner with a collared shirt. I dont want to cruise and have to wear a sports coat in the evening like some of the higher end cruise lines. Evening Chic is a option to dress up more if you wish.
  13. Here is the FAQ's from Celebrity's website. Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual or Evening Chic dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances. The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening.
  14. Chic nights only applies to the MDR. You can dress up if you wish. The dress code in Celebrity's Specialty Restaurants is Smart Casual for every night of your cruise. Evening Chic attire is only required in the main dining room on your “Evening Chic nights.”
  15. Check out Seward free shuttle bus route. I did see Red Taxi in Seward.
  16. We rented a car and drove down to Seward. We did book Kenai Fjords National Park Glacier & Wildlife Cruise from Seward by Major Marine Tours our tour was at 11:30am. Major Marine Tours office was at the Harbor 360 Hotel Address: 1412 4th Ave. Seward, Alaska 99664. It is within walking distant from the train station. I would call your tour company and see if they would hold your luggage.
  17. We were on the June 3rd sailing out of Seward. We arrived 2 days early. We went to the Alaska SeaLife Center in the morning. Then caught the free town shuttle to the cruise terminal from outside the Alaska SeaLife Center. We got to the ship about 11:30. We dropped our luggage in one area outside. Then into the building. Check in was easy and we were on board by noon. We were in a suite so check in time did not apply. It was a great Alaska cruise. Some of the best weather we have had in Alaska. We had 1400 guest on board. I heard we had 14 guest that came down with covid. Mask were required in the theater and casino. Sunset photo from the cruise.
  18. Summit if in a suite. I like that most suites being in the same area on deck 6. Luminae just down the stairs deck 4. Equinox deck 12 concierge 2107 cabin with large deck. Right out to the pool, 1 deck up to the Oceanview Café. I also like doing the glassblowing on Equinox.
  19. We were just on BA out of Seattle to LHR and return late Apr 2022. We were in business class flying over and did have to pay for seat choice. I was disappointed in our service. Not the BA I remember. Flying home we were in 1st class. I don't remember if I paid for seat choice in 1st class. I was very please with the 1st class lounge and our flight home. The service was what I know BA can be. We did carry-on only, 16 nights. We had heard that LHR was having baggage issues. Friends just flew home June 15 to LHR and had luggage issues at terminal 3.
  20. I also loved sitting backwards. Upper deck (747) had some really nice seating with extra storage. 2 toilets' and a galley.
  21. We were just on Millie in Alaska. The best weather ever. Luminae works best our tastes. Having both Luminae and MDR menus are a plus. I asked in Luminae about the salmon on board and if it was Pacific or Atlantic. I was told that what was on board was Atlantic salmon (cost). Two night later they had local Pacific salmon in Luminae. It was a nice treat.
  22. We just got home from our June 3rd cruise on Millie. We were in a sky suite. We really enjoyed our sailing. What can I say, someone is making my bed and cooking my dinner. Life is Good!!!!
  23. Looking on line at the seating in Blu on Millie. It looks like Blu holds 86 people.
  24. Solstice class ships had to be modified to fit under Lions Gate Bridge in Vancouver. Solstice was to tall. Can Edge fit under the Lions Gate Bridge? Did Celebrity learn from the Solstice build? Quantum of the Seas sails from Seattle, so Edge class should not be a problem.
  25. We were on the June 3 sailing out of Seward on Millie and masks were required in the theater and casino.
