  1. Ferry passengers and boaters are considered marine passengers.
  2. It’s up to each country so it’s not a blanket “I’ve had two shots so now I’m good” statement. I’ve been researching this and a number of countries don’t consider you fully vaccinated if a certain amount of time has passed since your last shot. They want you boostered too.
  3. This is how it updated for me: Flew into YYZ and inserted my NEXUS card into the kiosk. It then asked me to scan my passport and returned the message that my information was now updated. Easy peasy.
  4. Another vote for International Cafe Swiss Mocha. You’ll never get anything as good as a Barista makes it but I liked it at work in the winter when I just didn’t want coffee.
  5. The US Government Travel site has Country Specific Information but it’s a bit of a slog. Sherpa has a great tool for researching specific travel information. I have circled where you want to choose “Not COVID-19 Vaccinated”. Enter your passport country (assuming US) dates, and country to be visited. The black banner gives a general summary. Scroll down for specifics.
  6. Canada requires the negative covid test before boarding since you are visiting their country. That doesn’t change with HAL’s September 6th change of policy.
  7. If you’re referring to a HAL PCC (Personal Cruise Consultant) then there is no difference as they are using FlightEase. I recently purchased flights through Delta but none of them are on Delta metal. I did not use FlightEase as it’s restrictive for what I want to do. The first leg is with KLM and I could pick my seats as well as upgrade. The last leg (I have a non-Delta flight in between) is with Air France but I had to create an account with Flying Blue in order to log in and pick my seats. I was unable to upgrade so I’ve got to give them a call (which I dread). Basically, log into your Delta account and add the confirmation # to load your flights. You will be able to choose seats and upgrade from there. (Providing you didn’t purchase basic economy.) Hope this helps.
  8. This is what CVS Minute Clinic gives you. I have used CVS for two sailings. Going to use them again next week. Enjoy your cruise!
  9. No, it’s not a problem. My results have never had a QR code.
  10. Since coming on board with Marriott, I have experienced some Delta and Sheraton Hotels requiring me to swipe/insert my card and enter pin. I believe this is due to them continuing their previous practices vs adopting Marriott’s rules.
  11. I will have to disagree with Mary. Just like adults, children vary in their outlook, demeanor, and interests. All the children in my family loved HAL and still make it their choice as adults. I do agree with her in that HAL’s focus is on enrichment vs entertainment.
  12. You will find the most varied array of live music on the Pinnacle-class ships, namely the Rotterdam, Nieuw Statendam, and the Koningsdam, which all have Music Walk. They all go late night despite what others, who haven’t sailed them, may say. HAL does not do full-on broadway production-type shows if that is what you are looking for. Yes, there is American fast food aplenty. Click on @Crew News’s website and scroll down to Specialty Restaurants for menus. Free drinks include water, milk, juices, ice tea, lemonade. The movie and TV series selection on the ships with smart TV’s is great. They will have one or two movies focused to the region they are sailing in (which are always excellent), as well as a great many choices in all genres. There will be select movies every evening on the large *outdoor screen (with wings, popcorn, and blankets) on the Pinnacle-class ships. (“Outdoor” as in the Lido pool with covered retractable glass ceiling.) I have never seen It’s a Wonderful Life. Have a wonderful cruise and welcome to HAL!
  13. Ask to speak with a manager, today, to have this explained to you. It makes no sense to me. I have never heard of such a thing.
  14. We were scheduled to be in Buenos Aires until it was covid-cancelled. I had done some research and was a bit nervous about going. I vote for BA too. I know what you mean. We were in that market in March. I was in the square keeping an eye on my Dad and my sister (who had gone in different directions) when a woman came running up to the security guard regarding a team of thieves working the entrance. I looked over and could see them in action before Security dispersed them. I’d say Security “chased” them but no one ran and no one seemed surprised to be shooed away. In other words, all involved knew it was common.
  15. This looks like it could be a Group of Seven, Lawren Harris, painting! Absolutely gorgeous. ❤️
  16. The host is a moderator. I think we’re pretty civilized on this board. 😉 Although it could lead to bigger things! How are you with donating all your free time to moderate the CC board, @Fouremco? For free, of course. You may not have anymore time to answer questions though. 😂
  17. Of course it will accept Canada Place as the destination. It’s a Port of Entry in Canada!
  18. They do if they are getting on a cruise ship and doing a Vancouver-return, for example.
  19. Welcome to the HAL forum! We love the Nieuw Statendam and the Pinnacle-class ships. Here are some positive comments from someone who has been in your cabin but on its sister ship, so it’s comparable: Pinnacle-Class Cabin # 1011
  20. ArriveCAN requires the proof of vaccination to be uploaded. The negative pre-cruise covid test is just a yes or a no question.
  21. Although I love the Neptune Suites, 2k is a lot of money. If that’s not an obstacle… enjoy!
  22. Nice digs and a wonderful itinerary. Enjoy your trip and happy anniversary!!
  23. “Most” lines? You sure do love your generalizations. 😂 You’re batting 0 for 3. You’re just trolling, aren’t you?
