  1. 2. We have CHEERS pkg. Am I correct in thinking it is not activated while in NYC? Starts on day 2? Yes that correct and this information is on carnival website 5. Is it possible(sidewalks/pedestrian path) to walk to/from public transportation to cruiseport in NYC(like 50th Street Station)? W Yes that is possible and is doable. Keep in the mind that the blocks is very long and the nearest subway station is around 50th st and 8th ave on the C/E line.
  2. cruise cash only comes in 25,50,75 and 100 amounts. if you have a gift card with a weird balance like 34.34 it could be hard to use it all up in cruise cash

  7. I hate to be the bearer of the bad news, but it is not really "FREE" as the what Norwegian advertises. The cruise fare price has a higher base price to cover the cost of the drink/dinning package and then you still have to pay separate gratuity on top of it during the booking process. For a 7 day cruise, dinning package is about 10 dollars or so

  10. i dont understand carnival covid train. i cruised with NCL 3 times since cruises restarted, they too have similar platinum perks that place items in your room with the strawberry and other goodies that they still do. I hate on carnival it is like a treasure hunt to pick up the platinum items yourself and dont understand why cant put it in the room like back in the day. It seems like it could be a cutback/cost saving for carnival if people dont pick up the items
  11. if you book a sail away cabin, they do not have the free at sea perks
  12. on my previous cruise, self assist debarkation went by muster station and it took forever to get off the ship. i was in muster e which seem to be like last or near the last muster station. did not get off the ship until after 9am after they already called a few zone numbers

  16. I use the Azova video proctor service and my results were accepted for other cruise lines so far. another good video proctor service is onpoint testing the video proctor service is only around 15-20 dollars

  18. maybe it depends on the phone. When i was on the Magic last month, the alert never worked on my phone at all. i had to keep checking my phone. it could be an problem with my phone or the app.was that not a big of a deal since i was using my phone to check on other things while waiting

  21. Many many years ago back in the day the NY terminal broke one of the wheels in my suitcase. Since then I am been very worry about checking my luggage and causing more damage to my bag. It is much safer and easier for me to carry my own bag
