  1. You will probably only need to log them in once at the start of the cruise.
  2. With a multi-device plan all devices can be connected at the same time, but if sharing with other guests it just means that the person with the plan on their account is going to have to login on the other guests device for them.
  3. I do understand the frustration at being moved and the lack of communication, but you made the decision to be at the front of the ship when you booked YC and the difference in position from the front to the back of YC is really not going to make a noticeable difference...
  4. There are many ports where it would be against local regulations and food on excursions would have to be provided from local sources, not the ship. ... but in an EU port on an EU cruise there is usually no problem with taking food from the ship ashore...
  5. Just temporary glitch in the app, try again in a day or two... It is only reflective of the current sailing anyway, not your cruise, but right now it looks like those onboard will not have access to the menu in the app...
  6. Not likely to be an issue in most EU ports, especially for an Italian cruise line in the Mediterranean. Always follow the advice given on the ship though as there are going to be exceptions like arriving from a TA for example.
  7. Your purchases should appear as soon as the payment is processed. Your OBC cannot be used before you board but should be shown on your invoice and in the booking details online, unless it is the type that only gets credited once you board the ship, in which case you will not see it until then...
  8. It is on a competing website so no links here I guess, but I found it by googling for 'msc status match conversion table' ...
  9. Not just the big ships, even Divina has an adults only pool at the back of the ship behind the YC restaurant.
  10. Never going to happen, MSC is all about families, but by the time you've covered all the different school vacations across their various markets you are not going to have a lot of blocked days left...
  11. The bit you have highlighted only covers single occupancy, it doesn't restrict the following words... "The Master or the Carrier may, if it becomes advisable or necessary, at any time transfer a Passenger from one berth to another"
  12. That isn't it though, the 'flexibility' that comes with booking onboard is supposed to be different to the 'one free change'... The cruise consultant told us that by booking on board we had 'complete flexibility' to make changes... There just doesn't seem to be any wording anywhere to back that up...
  13. It is actually the easiest solution, and will be trivial to sort out onboard. Frustrating as it is to have this happen for no apparent reason the problem is so easy to fix once you get there I wouldn't let it become a stress point before what will be amazing multi-generational cruise from the sound of things.
  14. Not much consolation, but at least you are still all in Yacht Club and on the ship, others have fared less well it seems... Just out of curiosity, were the cabins that were moved originally adjacent to the inside cabins?
  15. There is usually a Yacht Club offer that is only available before boarding though...
  16. They also take account of the lost sales from drinks, excursions, speciality restaurants etc.... In the cruising world this is the norm, not odd at all.
  17. The exception being that if you are in a less popular/cheaper cabin grade you might get beaten by someone with a lower bid but moving up from a more popular/more expensive cabin grade as they are looking to maximise total revenue from the chain of upgrades rather than just the maximum on each upgrade.
  18. Mine was confirmed in under 48 hours, I'd say yours didn't get submitted...
  19. It must be a registered service animal (... or the Captain's wife perhaps? ) ... and who in their right mind would let a dog smoke in the first place 🙂
  20. The process aims to get a queue formed so they can respond quickly to any cancellations with a revenue optimised chain of upgrades to fill the space. So which cabin you are currently in matters, as well as which cabin you are bidding on. Actually availability at any point isn't required.
  21. Glad it isn't an issue for you, but we all need to remember it is the end of the cruise that counts, not the start or the booking date, unless you book a world cruise. "MSC Voyagers Club Membership is subject to a minimum of one cruise every three years. If the last cruise disembarkation date is over 3 years (36 months) or no cruise has been completed in 3 years after the enrolment date, membership to the MSC Voyagers Club programme will expire. For example: if the last disembarkation date is 30.01.2015 and no cruises are completed by 30.01.2018, the membership will expire. If the registration date is 30.01.2015 and no cruises are completed by 30.01.2018, the membership will expire."
  22. They still offer Diamond level on matching, just not with Carnival, Gold is the highest match you can get using Carnival status. With Regent for example, anything above the lowest level (Bronze) will get you Diamond. With Celebrity, Zenith will get you Diamond, and there are plenty of others that also match to Diamond.
  23. One word of caution, they have a tendency to update prices whenever they touch a reservation, so you may have to call again to get this corrected. Do let us know how it goes.
  24. Clearly never a situation any of us wish to be in, but I have become increasingly concerned in recent years that as the 'muster drill' has changed to become easier and quicker to complete it does seem to have lost many elements that could contribute to a safer outcome in a real emergency...
  25. Just by way of comparison here is the P&O explanation of procedures and notification requirements...
