  1. My suggestion is to try Silhouette and decide between E and S class for your future cruises. We prefer S class, but YMMV.
  2. “mean, you may very well be able to bid eventually. Even if you did, though, I wouldn't expect to win it. If you really want to suite, you might to better to just call and see about a direct upgrade if any are available.” This is my suggestion as well.
  3. I wonder if they will stop the B2B testing also.
  4. We did Barcelona to London early June. Great itinerary and mostly great weather.
  5. Some European countries require masks on public transportation which includes tour buses. Also, circumstances change, and while there may be no mask requirements right this minute, that doesn’t mean it will still be the case when you sail.
  6. I just ordered some of them thanks to these posts. Very appreciate of those who made these recommendations.
  7. I’m pretty sure there is a hot tub on the Retreat Sundeck on Silhouette.
  8. Thanks @jelayne. Our E class cruises were Covid casualties. I’m thinking of Beyond for a TA.
  9. We have enjoyed The Porch for lunch on Silhouette. Not sure if it is on Beyond.
  10. I just looked at the Alvear Palace for our pre cruise hotel in February. How was your stay?
  11. I am having trouble figuring out which drink package comes with our suite. Any clues where to look? Thanks!
  12. We had good choices by the glass (premium package) on Silhouette in January. I would still bring some bottles on if you plan on eating in your room. It’s a pain to keep going back to the bar for a wine refill!
  13. I was quarantined on Voyager. Deck 8, midships.
  14. 80% on Voyager, Barcelona to Bilbao, June 6-16.
  15. Thank you for the information. We have only sailed once on Azamara and I don’t remember which package I had, but I had Evian, so it must have been Ultimate.
  16. I’m just beginning to research the Ultimate package to see if I should upgrade. I’m also a white wine drinker. Is Evian part of the Premium package?
  17. 18. Well my friends, this is it. Not exactly the cruise of my dreams, but I’m still glad we came. This was our first Regent cruise since 2006, but I hope it won’t be the last. We booked Greece, Israel, Turkey for May, 2024. 2023 has other cancelled/rescheduled cruises on Celebrity and Azamara. Last nights dinner in Prime 7 was the best yet - or, maybe having restored taste buds made a difference? Anyway, excellent bone-in veal chop, crab cake to start, and too much ice cream! DH had the smoked filet of salmon. Very good and a nice presentation. Wonderful service too! Dominic, the maitre d’ is charming and efficient. This morning’s disembarkation was smooth as silk. Our driver from Trenchard was waiting for us just outside the terminal, and an uneventful drive to LHR. Our flight back to Chicago appears to be on time, so we should be home soon. For those of you wondering about the vibration in the aft suites, put me in the camp of “ yes, it’s noticeable, but not irritating “. I would book PHC 881 again in a heartbeat. The huge balcony, calming view of the wake, and the quiet location made it ideal for us. My quarantine cabin, 845, was less vibrating but more noisy from the hallway. And the balcony is tiny! Thanks for following along. I hope to read about your travels and see you on board soon! Erin
  19. So, I have survived 17 days without spring water. The Vero on board does not cause any water retention and tastes okay if chilled. I prefer spring water but certainly understand the reason behind Regent’s decision. Lots less waste.
  20. We had a lovely day in Guernsey! No excursion because I wasn’t sure I would be free to attend, but the island is quite accessible by foot and taxi. The weather was picture postcard perfect, and everyone we saw was smiling. We took a trolley ride to get a feel for the area and learned a bit of history. Very pleasant. We had lunch at Village East. DH was disappointed that they ran out of cod, so no fish and chips for him. He had lovely grilled sea bass instead - a much healthier choice. I had a seafood sampler, just the right amount of smoked salmon, prawn, shrimp and outstanding crab. Very fresh and delicious! And a nice glass of white wine too. We ate outside and really enjoyed the people watching. Excellent shopping too. I have been given paperwork for the insurance and also for my medical record. I guess I’ll be starting that process after we get home. Hopefully it won’t be too arduous. Dinner tonight at Sette Mari. Thanks to all for your good wishes!
