We easily checked in for our first Celebrity cruise which took about 10 minutes on their app with no issues adding photo, passport, chargecard & to select a boarding time after our TA added our dining request…so easy unlike with the Princess app we’ve used many times. Another nice thing was viewing the daily menus to decide when we’d go to a specialty dinner. Hopefully eventually Princess will provide a reliable app but after 5 years I’m not holding my breath.

Yes but there are new restrictions in the Passage Contract for limits & types of containers for non-alcoholic drinks brought onboard. Guests agree not to bring alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages on board for consumption or for any other use except as follows: For Guests of legal drinking age, an allowance of one (1) bottle of wine or champagne (750 mL in volume or less) per Guest per Voyage may be presented to security during embarkation. A US $20.00 corkage fee will be charged should Guests wish to consumer their wine or champagne in the ship’s public areas. A US $20.00 corkage fee (which is subject to change without notice) will apply to each additional bottle (750 mL in volume or less) beyond the one-bottle per Guest per Voyage allowance. Limitations apply, and wine brought in quantities deemed to be excessive by the vessel or security will be refused. Guests are also prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages on board that are packaged in bottles. A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, milk) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought on board on embarkation day, only if carried on in Guests’ hand luggage (not in checked luggage). A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person. Guests will be asked to discard open beverages in plastic containers prior to boarding.

😂 He’s one of my favorite sitcom characters 😂 I only had a 3 high interior bunk bed cabin but had a great unobstructed view while hooking up aircraft to the starboard cat. 😉

Mahalo…I was able to view the video of what does appear to be a C-17 landing at NAS North Island. I spent a couple of days there for flight deck & below deck firefighting training…quite an eye opener about fighting shipboard fires. You should have had a good view of my first cruise ship. ☺️

Winemaker’s Dinner is only available on Royal-class ships in their Wine Cellar located in the midship dining rooms.

From interior to minisuites they have a stainless steel ice bucket…never been in a suite.

As I recall the most recent Royal-class ships do not have the tea tower adjacent to the International Café.

Once it is issued it can also be viewed by going to the Cruise Personalizer, select the Payments button and at the bottom under Credits the MOBC is displayed there. When checking cruise prices mine is also automatically shown in the online pricing summary.

I learned something new from the executive producer about the duties of a real captain, CD & bartender. 🙄 “We didn’t want actors, we wanted people that really did this for a living,” Bienstock says. “A real ship’s captain, real bartender, a real cruise director. And just like the original series, these people, besides doing their day jobs, their roles are to find singles and bring them together in the hopes of a match.”

That is likely the free version in the dining room.

Was that after resuming cruising in summer 2021? We sailed three cruises on Royal-class ships (Enchanted & Discovery) since cruising resumed and none of them had the Winemakers Dinner. The reasons given were a lack of sufficient wine inventory and staffing. Prior to the pause we greatly enjoyed it on each of our Royal-class ships cruises.

Princess management is who dreams up such things & in her webinars the Princess VP of Sales is ecstatic about this cheesy program. She believes that it’ll increase cruising as much as the original Love Boat program. She described it as a combination of the Amazing Race, Survivor & Love Island which left CBS for NBC’s Peacock network. In the Love Boat series love was mostly depicted with humor by actors but the new version is people not truly seeking love but their 15 minutes of fame in another scripted reality show. I’ll occasionally watch the original camp version of the Love Boat on the free Pluto TV network and not this trashy Real Love Boat version.
