  1. I had 9506 on Ovation in May in Alaska, and it was awesome. I loved just sitting by the window and looking out. I was solo, and the cabin was huge. I normally get interiors, but I got a Royal Up bid for an Oceanview. I was originally on deck 3 and didn’t find out they moved me again until I got on board.
  2. You don’t get boarding times, you get check in times. Depending on how close your check in times are to each other, you could still board together, depending on numbers they call when boarding starts.
  3. Welcome to Seattle, and the weather should be great for you.. Loved your “almost” for the Starbucks. 😉 Happy Anniversary!
  4. Being originally from San Diego, and always living on the West coast, I have done Mexican Riviera many times, going back to 1984 on Sitmar, when it was longer and different ports. We are on the same cruise @RCCL Fanand going with my family. I always go to Gordo Lele’s (just a block up from Cabo Waco) in Cabo for authentic, cheap tacos, and Javier is the best. Planning on an independent whale watching this time, while fam goes elsewhere. I have gone zip lining twice with Los Veranos Canopy Tour, and they are awesome. If you want some ideas, check ParoDeeJay vlog on YouTube. They have some good tips on excursions in Mexico.
  5. I will be on the Navigator for New Years with the family, and I am originally from San Diego, and you live in So. Cal., so we can be very spoiled as far as good Mexican food goes. Since you loved it, I’m hoping for the best. 😉 I guess I will find out next month on Wonder, although it could be different on 2 different ships.
  6. Found this….. Royal Caribbean is set to double the amount of Crown and Anchor Society points each cruise solo cruisers recieve. Instead of just one point per night, solo cruisers will recieve two points per night sailed. /sites/default/files/cabin_0.PNGThe change is being made because solo cruisers pay a special solo rate, which is essentially double the normal rate. Therefore, paying double should net you double the points. Cruise Tricks is reporting the change in points will be applied to all cruises in October 2013 and going forward.
  7. The double points for solo didn’t start until 2013 or 2014. Somebody will know exactly when. Were your solo cruises after that time frame?
  8. Or better yet, just board with your luggage after 1-1:30, when cabins are open.
  9. You can find C&A benefits by a simple google. Here are numbers if you need help with reservations. Also, there are many new reps, so be prepared on any answers you are looking for.
  10. Some hair appliances, clocks, fans, may not be dual voltage. If you don’t need to plug any of those things in, then you probably just need an adapter to plug into Euro socket. All that does is allows US type plugs to be plugged in. Most phones, tablets, etc., don’t need a converter. If several of your items have USB plugs, just get something that has 4 or so usb outlets and you can plug that into either the regular US socket, or the one you have adapted to be a US socket. Adapters and Converters are 2 different things.
  11. I always download movies or series on my IPad before I leave home. That way, if I want to watch something, I have it.
  12. They mentioned a lot of sea days, so I’m thinking more to Hawaii and possibly on to Australia. Just a guess.
  13. No packages available at this time, but may come back if there are cancellations.
  14. It was available a day or 2 ago for $350, but it’s gone again. I would check your planner everyday, since some cruisers may be cancelling that have it. I got the 5 night package, back in March for $139.
  15. I wasn’t sure if this was the case for Royal. I have cruised Carnival from Barcelona and was able to bring alcohol on in every port, but wasn’t sure if there were duty free stores at other berths, or Royal may use the same one.
  16. I am leaving from Barcelona next month and the wording for Spain is a bit confusing. I have not had a booster, but thought Spain was still under the 270 rule, and I will need to get a booster before I can enter country. I already know I have to take a proctored test to get on ship.
  17. Same with me, plus theater and sporting events. I haven’t even gotten a booster yet. But I have to by next month to go to Spain. 🙄 The way I see it is if some feel better masking up, then they aren’t hurting anyone. I will continue to live my life as I always have. I prefer to get some germs. Helps with my immunity.
  18. You have to give it at least a week before you start a thread. 😉 And it’s a holiday weekend.
  19. Good info here. I normally travel solo, and never eat in the MDR, but going with family in Dec., and will make a point of seeing where our table is when we board. Anything I can do to alleviate more work for the short staffed ship, I will gladly do. Right to the table it will be for me.
  20. As long as it takes you to walk to nearest bar, once you step on ship. Show your boarding pass until you get your sea pass cards at cabin.
  21. Expand to other countries and continents. If Fall of 2023, either a TA or a TP. Both are amazing. Have done several of both and have a TA planned in Oct. and a TP planned in April. Do you have the time, or are limited on days?
  22. I get confused because everybody always says boarding time. It’s check in time, right? Boarding could start at anytime, depending on what might or might not happen on the ship. I have been in a couple of situations when boarding didn’t actually begin until 2pm, because of inspections.
