  1. Ok, thank you. I see my purchase of it there, but how do I verify it’s still attached to my booking? My fear is that they’ve yanked it now that they’re only doing the Zero Proof. I could have sworn my app used to show my Non-Alcoholic package when I clicked on Drinks Packages or something else within my cruise. Now I can’t find it anywhere.
  2. I booked the Classic Non-Alcoholic drinks package for my upcoming cruise, and with all this talk about them changing to the Zero Proof package, I want to verify I still have what I booked. I can’t find it anywhere in the app or on the website. Where can I view what I have booked?
  3. Does anyone have a definitive answer yet? I had booked the Class Non-Alcoholic Package for my upcoming cruise and was considering cancelling it. I went onto the site, and drink packages showed as coming soon with no other info.
  4. I would do the Connoisseur Princess cruisetour and then embark on a one-way cruise south to Vancouver. Why Princess? Because they were one of the original cruise lines to see Alaska and still get to sail to Glacier Bay and because they own their own lodges for the cruisetour part, ensuring a seamless, quality experience. I would pick a balcony to be able to see the wildlife and scenery without leaving my stateroom.
  5. Mrs. Chemmo, I’m so sorry for your loss. God bless you as you grieve, and thank you for reminding us of the importance of building memories and not putting them off. May your future be full of many cruises with your husband sailing along with you in your heart. I’ll continue to be an avid reader of your blogs.
  6. This has been useful to me, too; thank you, everyone! Even though it’s just DH and I, we have a lot of luggage and my mobility scooter, so I was wondering the same thing for our upcoming trip.
  7. Years ago, they told us they limit it to 40 passes per cruise plus suite access. That was on a Grand class ship. I’d assume it would be higher than 40 on the Enchanted, since the Enclave is bigger on the newer ships, but I’d hope not too many more as it’s supposed to be exclusive. From our experience, it used to be very exclusive, including on the Royal class ships. On our most recent cruise aboard the Royal, we still absolutely loved it and will book it again, but there were wayyyyyyy more people this time. People would set up camp on a stone lounger or water bed and stay for hours, making it so no one else could use one. It clearly states 15 min on a sign, but those people didn’t go by it. The steam rooms were always easily accessible at least. The thalassotherapy pool was busy at times and not at others. I even saw a couple getting a tour toward the end of our cruise, and I couldn’t imagine adding 2 more people.
  8. I think it really comes down to preference because the menu the same in all three dining rooms, and all are now Dine My Way instead of Anytime vs Traditional. We personally preferred the Concerto dining room midship on Deck 6 because it was easiest for us to reach from our midship stateroom, and we had great experiences with the waiters and Restaurant managers there. We did have to select Allegro once due to Concerto being fully booked. It was a bit of a hassle because you have to go all the way aft and down. Now, if you are in an aft stateroom, it would be perfect. Symphony was never offered as an option to book for some reason. It was the dining room always used for arts and crafts during the day. I don’t know if it was used for anything in the evening.
  9. You did technically receive an upgrade, though to you, I recognize it was a downgrade. Hopefully your TA didn’t forget to mark your booking as “No Upgrade” after your wife requested it. As for being separated from the rest of your traveling party, if you have linked bookings and are next to each other, that should have prevented you from being separated. I wonder if your TA ever linked your bookings. I think fat this point, you’ll probably never know the reason, but I hope you end up enjoying your new stateroom and can enjoy your cruise!
  10. Oh interesting; it’ll be cool to get your perspective on MSC. My hubby was recently mentioning it, and I’m on the fence. Food is the most important detail for us on a cruise.
  11. I’m sorry you didn’t have a great experience, and I hope your husband gets well soon. I always enjoy your blogs and was excited you were cruising my favorite cruise line this time. Though the Emerald is near and dear to our hearts, you might give Princess one more try on a newer, Royal class ship. It’s probably more of what you like. As for the closest layout, I am one who highly prefers the Princess closet because it’s so spacious and tucked away from the main room area. The great thing about variety of cruise lines is that we can each find the one(s) that suits us! Whichever cruise line you go on next, keep blogging please! 😀
  12. I need to use a scooter now, and I’ve determined though not technically a requirement to have one onboard, I will only book handicap staterooms or larger staterooms. A regular balcony is just too tight a squeeze and would require a lot of tough maneuvering. Also, it makes me nervous that the cruise line could deny my scooter if it’s deemed too big for a regular stateroom. Good luck!
  13. I’m sorry that happened to your husband. I was curious about acupuncture on a cruise as I know locally, I was told it takes 5-11 sessions to notice a difference.
  14. You will be exhausted at the end of the day, because the days are full of long tours, but it is all worth it because you see the most magnificent sites. You go to bed much earlier and thus, don’t participate in as much evening entertainment as you would in the Caribbean because you have to get up early for the next port. There is more planning involved Have a blast!
  15. In my opinion, you’re getting a much better port! Mykonos is gorgeous and has amazing food.
  16. The new brown bags rip way too easily. I had 2 items lost because of a hole in the bag. I really hope they go back to their older, sturdier bags. I highly doubt you’ll get your item back post-cruise. I’m sorry you lost such a treasured item. My husband has stopped using our Elite laundry benefit because of the risk of loss/damage. I still use the benefit because I don’t want to waste my precious vacation time doing laundry, but I do get nervous now after having 2 items lost.
  17. I’ve noticed and ebb and flow to itineraries. In 2015, it was hard to find an ABC itin, so we jumped on the one we found. Then, loads of ABC itins came about the next years.
  18. This was the pistachio on the Royal’s Christmas and NYE cruise. It is still really yummy but is different than before.
  19. It was always available on the Royal over Christmas, but let me tell you, it was nothing like its former self! The color was different and the flavor was 100% off. I’m frankly shocked as the head chef is a long time Princess chef and Italian. He clearly didn’t sample it!
  20. In the world of massages, my favorite is the Hot Stone massage because it’s terribly relaxing and soothing. I think it was priced fairly onboard. It cost more online pre-cruise. If you’re Elite, you get a 10% discount if you book onboard.
  21. Finally returning to the Med this summer! Super excited to go back and to experience the Enchanted Princess! Oh and a Mexican Riviera on Celebrity this spring. Wish it was on Princess, but free is free!! 😬
  22. I agree that it seemed more passes were being sold. I even saw some people getting a tour toward the end of the cruise and thought how are they going to consider it exclusive if they’re gonna allow even more in?! I also agree about the chair hogs. The sign saying not to was completely ineffective. I’d pounce on a water bed if one became available, and I just didn’t use the stone beds. Personally, I don’t know how anyone could stay in there for hours and read in that heat. It’s therapeutic for an hour but then I’m out!
  23. We pre-purchased at $299 pp for the Hawaii cruise. I don’t know what the onboard price was. There were definitely more people using it than in our past experiences, between all the sea days and it being a holiday cruise, that’s not surprising. It was well worth it and would highly recommend it!
