  1. can I plan on getting a drink and getting buzzed instead?
  2. It's still fun to read responses.....no matter how crazy they are.😁
  3. My understanding is in place of uploading the cert you just have to answer 3 questions. One asked if you are fully vaxd, one asked about booster & third if you are/will be pregnant.
  4. It seems X wants us all to be confused. Not sure any of us (including X) really understands what they have published. My exchanges above have been about Barcelona embarkation & X's website has procedures for sailings after Sept 5th. It seems sailings from the US only show as of August 8th & 15th, no further update. Suggest you check the following page for updates, as well as your app and just hope that X will provide you timely info. Good luck https://www.celebritycruises.com/health-and-safety
  5. I believe so - I was responding to the posters question about their Barcelona cruise. X's website has a list of ports of load and requirements for same. For example, if a Barcelona cruise was going to Greece, the test would need to be monitored. A Barcelona cruise just to Italy & France apparently (according to the website today) it can be a self-test non-monitored.
  6. Following is from X's website for Barcelona embarkation. Unless I am reading it wrong, you take a self-test, take a picture of the results & present it at boarding. Most phone pictures have the date the picture was taken & I presume they will check the date when boarding, but I see no way to prove that (a) the test in the picture was done w/in 2 days of boarding (you could take the test today and take a picture of results in 2 weeks) or (b) that the test in the picture belongs to a specific passenger. All guests ages 2 and older must test present a negative COVID-19 test result to board their sailing. A negative test result from any commercially available test, including self-tests, will be accepted. Tests do not have to be monitored or proctored. Test results may be presented as a printout, screenshot or photo of the test result or the actual test.
  7. Really don't blame you. We were booked on Enchantment for Australia March 2024 in a Jr Suite and our letter said they would "try" to keep us in the same class. I looking on-line yesterday and they had moved us to a regular balcony on Brilliance. At first they said call back after the 18th to which we said no, we have to make a decision BY the 18th. After 90 minutes on the phone with 4 different people, we were finally told that they would put us back in a Jr Suite. I think they were trying to get new bookings at higher rates for the suites. I really will not be surprised to see another change of vessels between now & then.
  8. With my app check-in, there is no place to enter the vax info. There are now three questions to answer, 2 about vax and 1 about being pregnant.
  9. My understanding is after Sept 5 a picture of any negative self-test (non-monitored) is acceptable. At least that's how I read it.
  10. I saw this and looked at the Barcelona embark page and it says the same. However, just received an email from X for my mid-Sept Barc departure as follow stating it must be supervised, which is the opposite of what their website says effective Sept 5th. I'm not sure even X knows what their policy is: PRE-ARRIVAL/EMBARKATION COVID-19 TEST All guests ages 2 and older must present a digital or physical copy of a supervised, negative COVID-19 test result at check-in to board their sailing, whether a pre-arrival test (for vaccinated) or test administered at the terminal (for unvaccinated). • Up to Date* Guests: Must present a negative Antigen test taken within 2 days prior to sailing. Testing at the terminal will not be required. •Fully-Vaccinated** Guests: Must present a negative Antigen test taken within 1 day of sailing. Testing at the terminal will not be required. • Unvaccinated Guests: Must present either a negative Antigen test taken within 1 day of sailing or have the option to be tested at the Terminal prior to Embarkation.
  11. yep the app is easy. Watched it at the bar with a drink lol
  12. so true & so frustrating. Seems a simple fix but it's been going on for years so I stopped holding my breath (good thing!)
  13. Yep the seapass shows no status. Called both CC & TA and they think they have it solved, but now seapass says pending so we'll see what happens in a couple days. I don't have this issue on RCL, just X. But I feel better after my rant so all's well........
  14. Rather convoluted on Europe sailings. Says basically we’ll let you know before you board. Seems early Sept is the key however
  15. not sure anyone commented. In June we made an appointment at Walgreens in F.Lauderdale and it was fairly easy & a lot of time slots. There were several locations and we took one near the hotel.
  16. I may look pregnant, but nope.......🤣
  17. As Jeremiah1212 stated there are a ton of threads to debate this so no need to get in a deep discussion, but I don't need a test to fly, go to sporting events, go out to eat or shop or anything else except cruising. I can sit in a packed movie theater or restaurant w/out a test. I would agree with you that the majority of the ship should be vax'd, but the pre-cruise testing's time has come & gone. Sorry, each to our own opinion.
  18. Yep strange. I got an email today telling me to upload my VAX info on the app, but there is no place to do it. Maybe X's IT dept is at it again......
  19. just curious - does anyone know if any line has dropped the testing requirement in any Europe port(s)?
  20. Why can't Celebrity / Capt club fix the suffix issue on names? I'm a third (III) and the CC number NEVER gets put on the booking as it states "incorrect captains club number, try again". I've heard JRs have the same problem. Always have to call and have them manually fix it. It seems to me it's an easy problem with a simple solution to connect the dots but NO. My initial sea pass always shows "Pearl" vs "Elite" and have to fight to change it and for credit to my account. ARRRGGG! Sorry, rant over for the day. Thanks for listening.

  22. If they were really offended by that obvious humor, they should stay off CC. I personally LMAO
