  1. yep agree. BTW - enjoying this weather swing? HTown is mid-70's today, freezing tomorrow night and back towards 80 by mid-next week. Gotta love it!
  2. I hate it. There was a time when Blu was Aqua only as suites had their own "private" dining room. Never had a wait at Blu but now waits are common. Also, I agree it has put a strain on Blu and the food/service is suffering a bit. Still good, just not "as good".
  3. at least for the first couple of days!!! Thanks for the reply
  4. Hi Lois - thanks again for your post. As mentioned earlier we were on the Dawn couple of weeks ago and LOVED sitting outside at La Terrazza. I must admit we went to the Arts Cafe after reading your post & had chocolate covered strawberries and glass(es) of champagne. Really nice ship. Thanks again / Bob
  5. Enjoying reading your report. Out of curiosity, what Champagnes (sparkling wines) are part of the "included" drinks. We were just on Silver Dawn and it was Pommery so a bit curious what SB is pouring. Enjoy!
  6. Hello Fletcher - sorry a little late to the game here, but just off the Silver Dawn and she has a very nice & quiet forward facing observation library just above the bridge. And above that is an outside deck. The library was a great spot for forward thinking.....just fyi
  7. Typical lol - thanks. Have not been on SS for a few years so looking forward to it, although much has changed no doubt. I remember the very first SS cruise we took (20 yrs ago maybe) was in the MED & we got a list of all 275 passengers on board with names and home towns. Like the members of a club - and no tie, no dinner 🙂
  8. Hi Lois - thanks for the posts as we're boarding the Dawn next week. Just curious - the paperwork we received said they would peform a daily temperature check in the suites. Did they actually still do that daily? Thanks again - Bob
  9. It can be cheaper depending on how many others decided to pay for it. If they are "empty", they may discount the price. But we have found it to be rare that we can save that much by waiting, and would prefer to have a reservation made before hand.
  10. uh - yep I knew the definition, just curious why used in that situation......
  11. From RCL website https://www.royalcaribbean.com/the-healthy-sail-center/getting-ready-to-cruise For sailings that visit Greece: All guests age 12 and older, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to present a negative antigen test within 48 hours or a negative PCR test within 72 hours before your sailing. Guests age 11 years of age do not need to complete a pre-cruise test. This test can be satisfied using any proctored telehealth test kit or lab-supervised test. Self test kits are not accepted for sailings that visit Greece.
  12. Normally page 1 is the picture of the ship and the last page are the tags. My last two trips have had the 1st and last pages blank as well. Obviously they're having some issues and according to X they know about the problem and "are working on it". (Uh huh) 🤨
  13. What about when you go out to eat at a restaurant at home. You have the choice to make a reservation at the time you want (ie "my time") or simply show up and wait for a table. That's the point of MTD. It is for those that don't want to be stuck with only two seating times but want a variety of times to eat. If you are really flexible and want a table "when available", just show up. But if you want to pick a specific time (ie MY time), make a reservation. You can just "roll" in when you want - me, I prefer to have a reservation.
  14. Pretty good guess/speculation. Usually the floor below the pool has an entire area for the pool piping. I;ve seen doors that say (more or less) pool equipment access / crew only.
  15. Yep - me two; 3 1/2 weeks out and no tags. Patience is not one of my strengths
  16. Yes - you can have both passes on your phone or in your wallet, as long as you are both there at the same time.
  17. sorry I meant not an issue for me. I honestly thought the app was required.
  18. Have you tried Silversea? No match as they really don't have a program but really nice AI cruises.
  19. If there are 2 of you, it;s 24hrs each. We used the free 24hrs on sea days and used the wifi in the port facilities on port days. Just follow the crew - they know the best spots.
  20. yep - anyway the app worked great so not an issue.
  21. Yep - all cruise lines have a separate drink menu that is available from Galv just until you hit international waters. Some stupid TABC laws that limit what they can serve in "Texas waters" - just a hang-over from the blue-law days I think.
  22. Are you not required to do the muster drill on the app? In June on RCL we had to have the app to complete the video and other items for the drill
