  1. We were in a Sunset Suite with no amount of noise crossing the Atlantic, but heard awful sounds on decks 10 and 11 near the aft elevators with Sky Suites. We were so amazed that we took the elevator down a deck finding the same exact noises, yet our suite had none on deck 11. We also did a SV without any noise too, same ship on a b2b.
  2. I guess something, or someone irritated Mother Nature again, so she has responded. We had snow one day and almost 70 a couple days later; hope things change soon!šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
  3. Never let Celebrity have your money earlier than needed; once they have it, you have lost leverage. I never thought Celebrity would cheat me out of any money because I paid before the 90 days with my TA, but had to cancel a couple days before this due to a skiing accident, but Celebrity tried to keep more than my deposit. To this day, I am still owed another $200. The back and forth with my TA and myself always gave a different answer. Lots of new employees caused a rift. I was under a completely different policy when I booked, but was told that did not matter, as now it was a different policy. Well, with Celebrity, there is always a different policy. Anyway, please return when you have more detail.
  4. Nothing comes close to you, our beloved passengers? Okay, I am reaching!šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
  5. We also cruised with her last year during her vacay time. She was staying in an IV, enjoying the ship more as a passenger, but still involved with passengers. Montenegro was one of her favorite stops and she was quite visible during our b2bā€™s. She truly does seem to feel more at home on a ship, IMHO. Those two cruises on Beyond were excellent and among my favorites!
  6. Thanks so much for sharing your time, words and lovely photos. I will never forget hiking into Milford sound and NZ, but havenā€™t made it to Australia. We were originally on these cruises, but life does not always work out as planned. So happy you are enjoying a variety of experiences Down Under, along with watching he toilet water reversešŸ¤£. Could not add a photo hereā€¦
  7. This is so true, not to mention keeping oneā€™s core strong. However, it takes time to stay in shape and do weights, but the rewards are great. It saddenā€™s me to see so many people lose precious time due to falls. I have Vertigo, so now I even focus more on my core and strength. Sometimes I even have to fall and roll, so I do not get hurt. Lucky me that I am not very tall either. Cruising the world is a workout in itself!šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø
  8. I have been sharing many of the comments about Vista with my DH. He keeps saying ā€œitā€™s the itinerary-specifically traveling by ship and not having to fly both ways that is important.ā€ I remember when Celebrity first introduced Edge, the first E-class ship. The comments were all over the place, but improvements were made with the following ships. It will be interesting when he sees the gym, but at least he knows that it is quite small. No cruises booked for this year, as those were canceled due to a ski accident, so both of us will be so ready in 2025 for more of Europe. Keep those Vista comments coming...Thanks!
  9. My mother would have loved to cruise with us, but that will always be a regret. However, I am so happy for those of you that get to enjoy that wonderful experience together!
  10. So cut, cut and cut then add, add and add...wallah! The only constant being change. Well, I am pleased to see the company sailing in a more positive direction; just hope the seas stay alive with the changesšŸ’Ÿ. I am doing Apex for one cruise, along with a TA(on Apex) to CC; a great way to visit Europe and then see relatives and friends before flying out of Orlando home next year. It sounds like a great plan, but anything can happen between now and fall of 2025. I may not enjoy Vista(or maybe I will) on Oceania, but the price was great and it takes me closer to Algarve, Portugal...TBD. Maybe Oceania will also ā€œget itā€ like Celebrity...I can only hope.šŸ¤©
  11. Thanks so much for sharing! I certainly would not have instigated anything either, as it wasnā€™t the time or place. Cruises should be enjoyed to the fullest, IMHOšŸ .
  12. If I may ask, how were you able to do your photos grouped together like this? I love that you can enlarge by clicking on them too! Thanks so much for sharing!šŸŒø
  13. I really appreciate the fact that you are doing this itinerary in the early spring. Yes, the weather isnā€™t always perfect, along with school children on their field trips, but it gives a different perspective on Greece. Loving everything about Greece, I thoroughly enjoyed your visit so far, and the wonderful memories provided. I can never get enough of this beautiful country, as each island/place speaks a little differently. Last year, I was able to visit Zakynthos and Hidden Beach, a place on my bucket list that I will never forget. Like you, I enjoy private tours and just taking a taxi. thanks for the tour company and recommendation. Thanks so much for sharing your vacation with commentary, photos and life at sea. Greece is just a lovely place to visit, not only on the mainland, but all the islands with their own personal history and culture. You also reminded me of our trip to Corinth and the canal that was uncrowded and very interesting to see, as it is so narrow in width. Safe travels! Thank you, cavaaller šŸ„°
  14. The crew loves hearing from you by writing a personal note applauding their service. You can get the note paper from Guest Services or concierge, returning it to the same place. That individual gets recognition from his/her peers, along with others. We have done one or the other, but many times both if our service was excellent.
  15. Which other lines have better gyms? Thanks for your review!
  16. You are not missing anything...supply, demand and pleasing shareholders. Edge is much newer and a different class of ship-E-class; Solstice is much older- S-class. It also has more balconies, as Edge has IVā€™s. Pricing is dynamic, so you need to look at availability of cabins/suites/types and $$$. If money isnā€™t an issue...
  17. What about the things found under the bed? Thatā€™s definitely an eye-openeršŸ˜³
  18. Exactly! Seize the day...day by day!šŸ„°
  19. I am living vicariously through all your comments and photos, as we had canceled our trip Down Under. Thank goodness due to my DH and his crazy skiing accidents. Looks like you are off to a great start with cruising, friends and ā€œsuite life.ā€ Thanks for sharing!
  20. That I do not know, but maybe we have started something here...TBD. Mine did not happen, as I stopped at MA+32, but it would have been on loyalty with cruise linesšŸ¤Ŗ.
  21. I love E-class, but Michaelā€™s Club looks fantastic; love the fireplace. Sorry about the dreary weather to begin your cruise, but glad you have enjoyed your experience so far.šŸ„°
  22. How much do they get paid?; if it comes with a free cruise, Iā€™m totally going to apply!
  23. I think many people have the money to travel, not to mention a strong desire to do as many wonderful experiences as possible. None of us is getting any younger...seize the day(s). I am excited for my first O cruise, but still wondering how pricey my one-way airfare might be in the next few months. That might put a little damper on where I stay in Portugal. Lots to consider, but it will work out one way or another. Also, there is a thread about Vista and its TA on this board, so that is very interesting to me. Life is so full of choices!šŸ„° I believe my cruise price was a good deal, so no worries there.
