  1. Will you please let us know? And, I appreciate the heads up, but this was not a good way to start my day 😂
  2. It is going to put pressure on the cruise lines if they require paid testing for every person who cruises. I hate to see testing end because it does prevent people who know they are positive from lying and getting on the ship infected, but I do not want to add that much to the price of the cruise. With as many cases as there are, it wouldn’t be a complete lie to state that you are requesting the test because you have been exposed to a positive person, as there is a good chance you have been. I wonder if there is still a charge for that.
  3. Well, it was nice while it lasted. We won’t be going back at that price, though.
  4. Thank you! I didn’t have it on BOA or Chase, but Wells Fargo worked for me.
  5. I always take a full bottle of water tucked into a pocket in my carryon in case of delays during embarkation. Then I always forget it is in there when going through security, and it is never mentioned.
  6. We had the second booster twelve days before we sailed. I was afraid that a misinformed agent at the pier would deny us because it wasn’t fourteen days before the cruise, so I just didn’t include it when I uploaded. Luckily, our original cards were full and a second card was used for the latest boosters.
  7. Other people on CC reported the 7 day to 3 day change a few days ago. Walgreens honors the appointments made before the change, but it is not possible to make new appointments for the 4 days that are lost. Hopefully you will see July 1 added if you check again tomorrow.
  8. We have been tested at Walgreens nine times, and every one of them was easy. They have been switching back and forth from offering three days of available appointments to offering seven days. I think the fact that you see testing only until the end of June signifies only that their recent change back to three days happens to end at the end of the month.
  9. I received four Royal Up email offers to bid, and believe cabins that are booked quickly are somehow flagged in the computer.
  10. I received quite a few free cruises between 2013 and 2017, until my active gambler SO died. I was then “inactive” until recently, when my new SO decided he enjoyed gambling. I earned 800 points on a cruise in May and received a free cruise. We are currently on Day 4 of a four-night cruise on the Indy. The app stated that 400 points would earn a free cruise. I saw that statement every day for three days, and found it to be a bit odd and too good to be true. It was. I hit 500 points this morning and stopped to talk to the casino host. She was quite rude and told me twice that she would like to see that statement in the app. I did not have my phone with me and took my time retrieving it from the cabin. I checked the app for the 400 point statement before I left the cabin,, but it had been changed to say that “only” 400 points would result in a “huge discount”. The huge discount is $100 😳. I realize the program changed in May and I did doubt the offer when I saw it, but the attitude of the casino host was really a turnoff, quite rude and condescending. I intended to screen print the offer when I saw it and regret waiting almost an hour to allow her to make the change.
  11. I think so, too. I just received four email offers for my aft balcony. Possibly generated automatically to everyone, possibly generated because my trade-in would move quickly 😄
  12. Same here, we have nothing. We could use Royal, Celebrity, and Carnival.
  13. This is our very last Lifted & Shifted or otherwise rescheduled-due-to-Covid cruise. Booked in March 2020, $729 total for an aft balcony. We are going to Nassau, Coco Cay, and a sea day. I may come back to the thread if anything out of the ordinary or remarkable happens, but we are very boring cruisers compared to some others 😁. We will relax/nap on the balcony, go to shows, hang out watching the FlowRider, spend some time in the casino, and thoroughly enjoy a beach day on Coco Cay.
  14. Good morning! I am sitting on my balcony at the Marriott in Cocoa Beach, waiting for the sun to rise and the Indy to come pick me up. I see the Disney Wish on the webcam, moving slowly, accompanied by a fireboat celebration. 776 people watching the webcam at 5:47 a.m., I believe the port will indeed be a zoo this morning.
  15. My SO’s doctor refused to prescribe Paxlovid because all blood pressure and cholesterol medications would need to be paused for several weeks.
  16. We had the same experience on a Princess ship - long lines for MTD both with and without reservations, being told that a table was reserved for us at a certain time, then the next night being told rudely that tables are never reserved in MTD. The fix seemed to be to eat very early, as soon as the dining room opened. We used to enjoy MTD, but when the earliest time changed to 6:45 p.m., we changed all our cruises to early seating. I am sure a lot of other people did the same and this is the result. If they would change MTD back to earlier availability, the problem might ease.
  17. The same thing happened to us, after eight perfect experiences in the past. No email confirmation, no email reminder the morning of the test, no results. We went back to the drive-thru and they printed the results. But not until I had spent some time worried that I had made a typo on the email address (I hadn’t).
  18. Update: We went to the doctor’s office yesterday with a screen print of Royal’s info and asked for a letter of recovery. The receptionist repeatedly told us he had to have a negative test to get a letter. We stood our ground and she agreed to show it to the doctor. She called later and asked my SO to go back to the office this afternoon. His vital signs were checked and the doctor used an app to determine if he qualified for a letter. A lot of questions were asked regarding dates, and the app showed he did qualify. He will go back tomorrow to pick up the letter. I wonder if the online companies use an app to determine eligibility?
  19. We just received the email for the August 14 sailing of the Explorer. There were twelve categories listed, we bid on three of them.
  20. We were also on this sailing and my SO tested positive for Covid two days after the cruise. This was our twelfth cruise since the restart (on four different cruise lines), and the first time either of us picked up any kind of illness. The surprising part is that we were together at least 23.5 hours a day and I am still testing negative ten days later. He was not seriously ill, just light congestion and fatigue, and we will continue to cruise.
  21. Oh, no, I typed a long response that went poof 😢. I have to get back out in the parking lot where I have been updating my navigation system since 9:58, back to you later.
  22. It was positive last night (but lighter red than a few days ago), so there is still time. In spite of being together at least 23.5 hours a day (on the Caribbean Princess) for seven days before he got sick, I am still negative. So there is a wild card in all of this - me!
