  1. They will show up in the Navigator app...but they will come and go in the weeks before your departure. By the time you board, they will stay. Same for excursions. I have always received an email confirmation...so that is strange, but I wouldn't worry.
  2. Lot's of horns this morning. Woke me up. Enjoy your cruise. We got off last Saturday. Had a great time.
  3. We were on the K-dam thanksgiving cruise last year. While there were more children on board than usual, they were well behaved. Of course that cruise was at 60% and this year's will be full. You will have a great cruise.
  4. We did a Leon excursion in 2019. Town only. Great place to visit!
  5. Just off the Koningsdam this morning. Have it All and more was in effect. We just paid the difference in the price of the drink over $12.
  6. Ruth's Chris is directly across from the port. Was that trip more expensive than your uber to the port from the hotel? Uber has gotten much more expensive here in the past two years. Before COVID, our uber from home to the port was ~$7 (for an 8 minute trip). We'll see what it is this Saturday....we are only 2 miles away.
  7. Yes! And so true about the pile of bikes in a yard.
  8. I'd recommend you set your pick up location a block or two from the port. We take a left turn after leaving the port and request the Uber down by the Portside Pier.
  9. I'm a Gen X-er. Grew up free range and as a 10 yo could be miles from home and my parents wouldn't even know. They would set us loose at Walt Disney World (1970s) and I have no doubt, if allowed back then, they would have had no problem letting us wander in a port on our own. Different times.
  10. I did as well. Sailing on the Kdam on Saturday.
  11. We love the New York Pizza. Always ask for crispy crust. The pizza in the Lido is literally the worst thing they serve on the ship. My elementary school cafeteria had better pizza.
  12. I do not think you should be concerned. We have sailed nearly 100 days on HA and have never experienced bed bugs. Also sailing on Saturday and really looking forward to the attention to detail and level of cleanliness we have come to expect.
  13. Yes...kudos to HAL...it is a great tool. Just checked this again for my journey staring in 10 days 8 hours 4 minutes. Last week it was testing not required if vax'd. It is now: We highly recommend all guests be up to date on their vaccination status. Vaccinations, however, are not required. Guests are not required to take a COVID-19 test prior to embarkation.
  14. Oh no!!!! Not looking forward to a full ship. We have friends that just got off the K-dam from Hawaii and they said it was packed. Really enjoyed our not so full cruises last November and this past January.
  15. You can book using the Have it All allowances, but not your OBC. That has been my experience in the past and may have changed. From what I understand, the OBC is not technically in your account to spend until you board the ship.
  16. @kazu Awesome! You are in your league the minute you board a HA ship. This will be our first Rudi’s experience but I have no idea why. I’m not fancy enough for restaurants with tablecloths I suppose. We were on the K-dam last Thanksgiving and then again in Jan for circle Hawaii. Outstanding ship. We are on the upcoming Coastal CA in 23 days, also on the K-dam. We are very fortunate to be just minutes from the Port….and within 12-18 months of retiring. You will love a Pinnacle Class ship!
  17. Same for us. Booked Rudi’s for NYE at 8. It’s a beautiful restaurant and I hear the Dover Sole is awesome.
  18. Booked through HAL directly. I would imagine it works with a TA as well. They just needed the offer code in the email.
  19. @syesmar we started to receive email offers after a Jan 2022 cruise. Very frequent earlier in the year.
  20. I do not recall what the HIA cost. $99 seems low. Looking at this cruise now, the difference between Inside and Verandah (we got a partially obstructed one) is $500. Add in the $200/person OBC that you pay upfront....taxes, and the HIA...it came to $1,189 p/p. $500+$200+$140 (taxes)+ $349 (difference, likely cost of HIA) = $1,189. We consider this a great bargain since we love the Koningsdam and it takes us 7 minutes to get to the cruise terminal.
  21. We took the same offer on this very cruise. Upgraded to a veranda and added Have It All.
  22. We were on the K’dam last Thanksgiving. The MDR was ok but nothing special. On the same NYE cruise and we booked Rudi’s for Cabo. I hope the menu is not “special”. Reading about free lobster in the MDR, we may reconsider and pick another night.
  23. If by any luck it is still there, it will be missing a catalytic converter and possibly a couple of windows.
  24. I wouldn't do that. The nearby neighborhoods (I live in one) are very sensitive to long term street parking - mostly due to the airport. As stated above, parking is 72 hrs max and neighbors will report your car using the "Get It Done" App. It will be a very expensive lesson.
