We are staying there as well for our upcoming Rotterdam cruise in May.

She is fantastic. Heard her perform on the N.A. in Oct 2019. Hope she is still on board in May when we sail.

Does anyone know how to reserve a single table under two booking numbers? My sister is traveling with us in another cabin and we would like to reserve our 2 speciality restaurant dinners together.

If you are an AARP member, you verify on the HA website and get some OBC. Be sure to pre-verify and mention this when booking. Recent booking experience (28-day N. Statendam): FIRST...confirm that C.O. is available. Then booked cheapest Obstructed Verandah. Next step, pay for C.O. Finally, get Obstructed Verandah upgraded to Aft Verandah. When I did that booking, it involved a call to Ships Inventory to verify availability of C.O. On a booking last week, it seems they have a new reservation system (Windows vs. DOS) that allows them to check C.O. availability from their screen. Getting Military and AARP OBC did require a call to a Supervisor however. I call HA directly and do not use a TA.

Just got off the phone for a new booking and they are also in the process of converting their DOS (!) reservation system to Windows-based. It's 1992 all over again.

We had a really nice Bronze reception on our May 2023 TA on the Zuiderdam. It was only for bronze because there were nearly 100 recipients. Photos with the Captain and food and drink passed around liberally. We received the medallions in our cabin the day or two before.

True...just noticed that.. Hopefully someone can weigh in with help on the mobile versions. I did not do a review, but we hit 100 days on HA on that cruise and the Zuiderdam is a wonderful ship. We love the Music Walk, Gallery Bar, the Lido and all of the trivia, bingo and other activities. The staff were outstanding - as always. You will enjoy Zuiderdam for your TA. Big production shows is not a HA thing by the way and for us, the food options never disappoint.

We were on the Zuiderdam this past May on a TA. Honestly, it was refreshing to get back to that class of ship after four consecutive voyages on the K-Dam. Missed NY pizza, but the Zuiderdam has everything we like. Great library, wide promenade, and a bar in the Crow's nest that actually has stools. I seem to recall a tray of free cocktails at the entrance to the party - but my memory is fuzzy - I had just completed the bar crawl.

We did the pub crawl on the N.S. in October. We had a BLAST.

People in line looked very angry. Honestly, the port authority needs to bulldoze the port and start fresh if they want to support multiple ships.

@lais walked down to the Embarcadero yesterday for a lunch at Seaport Village. I have never seen lines stretch all the way to the Broadway Pier. It was crazy. I’ve boarded with 3 ships in port but have never seen anything like this. tons of people in line had lots of luggage - were they not allowed to drop it off prior to joining the line?

We were on the N.S on October and our cards came pre punched.

Thank you for bringing this up. Post COVID, keycards are not provided in the terminal. The bar code is needed to board at security ON the ship.

We boarded a couple of years ago when three ships were in port. It was total chaos.

Don't forget that you only have to pay the difference between the $ limit and the full price of a more expensive drink. You can get significantly better wine by just paying a dollar or two more.

You can buy distilled water on board. You can even preorder and have it delivered to your room before you board.

Yep. Very unfortunate. Had it again last month on the NS and paid the surcharge.

Fogey here...but I was determined. I think a late-ish dinner helped. I needed to digest the 20# Dover Sole they served me.

We had the exact same NYE dinner (and silly hats) as you on this cruise. The ship seemed full. Many multi-generational families. The New Year's Countdown party at the Lido Pool was a blast with plenty of sparkling wine being passed around. I think it is the first time I had made it to midnight in 20 years. We had a blast!

We attended our bronze reception in May 2023 on a TA (Zuiderdam). Nearly 100 bronze recipients. Only bronze were awarded at this particular ceremony. Assuming a separate reception for the higher levels.
