  1. Never mind. I was looking at 7 day and certain months only. I now see there are many choices. Oops
  2. MSC cruises out of Florida all go to Mexico. Two days on the island. One cruise would be enough. No other choices. We only cruise out of eastern Florida. Been to Mexico so many times. Why not other ports?
  3. The place we used to go to 58 years ago in Buffalo was Baylows. A tavern. We were about 18 years old. Awesome.
  4. Passengers on the Margaritaville at Sea cruise ship are stuck at port after the ship was placed under a no sail order. The U.S. Coast Guard confirmed the ship received the no sail order after a recent examination of the ship came back with concerns regarding the conditions of the ship. Federal law in the U.S. requires cruise ships operating in the country to pass a Certificate of Compliance exam every six months. According to Petty Officer Nicole Groll, the order was given out of concern from the safety of the crew and passengers. There was no word on how long it would take for the ship to clear inspection. 5. Going on the Harmony in September. If it is not cooked to at least medium well we will not eat it also. Will be way to tough. Under cooked and over cooked will be tough meat.
  6. Royal does not use roast beef. The cut is too thick will be tough and chewy. The Royal ship we were on and cannot remember which one it was. Mine was tough my wife's was tender and delicious. I went back up and the meat was cut very thin. That one was excellent.
  7. Sorry you never ad one made correctly. The roast beef needs to be sliced super thin. Not a hung of beef. The roll must be fresh.
  8. It's rock salt on top and a delicious roll. We did have a restaurant before it burned down that served them. A multitude of Super thin sliced roast beef smothered in gravy. Just an awesome sandwich. In addition the french fry's were also dunked in gravy. Yum, Yum!
  9. Before you purchase travel insurance. Check to see if any of your charge cards include it. Mine does. I had Citi Bank that had it then they dropped it. I now have it on a Bank of America card. The card it $95 a year but the points and the insurance well make up for it. We cruise 4-6 times a year. If I had to purchase insurance every time, it would be a heck of a lot more then the $95.00 We had to use it one time for a cruise we had to cancel. Our refund was fast and easy. Plus it cove just about everything when you travel.
  10. Both of the Costa ships area bout the same length 1060+ feet but hold 100s more cruisers than Royals Navigator and the sister ships also. They are close to the same length. These are newer ships as stated before. Firenze 2020 and the Venezia 2019
  11. Never had a problem. That is what we do on every ship and cruise line. If someone stops you. Just tell them all you want to do is put your suitcases in the room. Never was told sorry you cannot.
  12. Those that have back packs always turning and bumping them into someone. Especially in the elevator. Yes,. we carry on our luggage and DO NOT walk allover with them. We take them directly to our room. No need to hope they show up at our room. We then unpack then go for lunch. All done and ready for the cruise. Same when the cruise is over. The luggage stays in the room. We go for breakfast and then go get the luggage and get off. So simple and fast. Our luggage is small. Not monster suite cases.
  13. Was the Beetles band Mexican? The reason I ask is because the ones we heard were and they were fabulous.
  14. After 80 cruises and still going we have have many enjoyable cruises. However only a few were exceptional. The Sky Princess for one. The Harmony blew us away with the shows' and the ship itself. Two others. Carnival Sensation and Royals Serenade of the Seas.
  15. Ocean view and balcony are usually the same sq.ft. without the balcony.
  16. Celebrity is better than the others. However Royal is right behind them. Very good food. Depending on which ship. it can be far better than all the others. The Oasis class ships are the very best bang for the buck. Best food and shows.
  17. Before retirement we only did balcony and an occasional suite. Now retired. Ocean view only. Wife wants to see out. We only did 1-2 a year when I was working. Now 4-5 sometimes 6 a year. The lower cost works out to more cruises.đź‘Ť
  18. Hold on. Both he and his partner need to drink 5 or more a day. Not just him.
  19. I agree, the Celebration or the Sunrise, except for the mega ship. We always like sailing on smaller ships. However we decided to give the Harmony a try because of the price and what is offered. To our great surprise it was like the small ship as for bumping into anyone. Guess because it is so big it did not seem crowded at all. The shows and the ice skating were magnificent. The food was fantastic. The buffet was awesome. So many different experiences we have never had. Going on it again in September. Give it a try. Bet you will be sup prized as we were.
  20. Celebration! Different ship for sure, but I am sure you will love that cruise and the ship.
  21. Yes under booking details on your check. Also If you go to purchasing it again it will tell you you already purchased it.
  22. What I always understood. The companies that makes the products gave the cruise line samples to put in every room. So it is not the cruiseline. It is the manufactures of the product that no longer give the product to them.
  23. September and October cruises are a bit lower in cost. We cruise 4-5 times a year and ALWAYS cruise during hurricane season. Since 1994 once cruise was cancelled because of a hurricane. Another cruise. When we returned my son asked how was the hurricane. I replied what hurricane. Must have sailed around it. The cruise was beautiful and so was the weather.
