Thank you for posting this. This is not the same page I found yesterday. I suppose I searched the wrong wording. I appreciate it.

First, a minor is a human being, and all humans are treated the same....so a minor is the same as an adult and vice versa ---I asked about a "minor" because when I looked in the FAQ's it specifically talked about what minors could use. Secondly, you don't need a passport for AK ---You don't need a passport to go to Alaska but to go into Canada you do which is on our trip. Next, you need to ask the question, are you leaving from Vancouver or Seattle. ---I do not know where I would be leaving from as we haven't booked our trip. This depends on if a passport would be needed for a child to go on this trip. Next, if you don't trust RCCL, than why in the world do you trust perfect strangers on a message board? --- You only have to read these boards for a while to realize you don't always get the correct answer from calling RCCL . There is a thread right now that shows that. I said I was contacting them but just wanted to know from someone who actually had experience with this. So, if you are on a closed loop cruise from Seattle, that enters Canada you don't plan on any excursions entering Canada, than I'm pretty sure, you don't need a Passport (or card). Now, if you somehow already determined that an "adult" needs a passport, than of course the "minor" needs it, but why do you think you need it? ---because the last time I went to Alaska on a cruise I was told by RCCL that we needed passport I'm just trying to cover my bases.

Adults do need a passport to go to Alaska as they stop in Canada
-
I hope someone can help me. I am trying to find what form of ID minors need for Alaska. On the website I can find that they need birth certificate, but does this include Alaska where adults need passports? Yes I will call RCCL but I don't necessarily trust what they say after reading a few posts. Just wanted some first hand knowledge. Thanks, Vicki

sprint180 replied to styxfire's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
From that pic I can't tell that they are connecting. -
I wouldn't pay extra for one. to me it was no different then a regular balcony. Closer to the water but no big deal.

I have never done it, but some day I'm going to. It looks so fun! -
Why did Carnival ask for our TSA precheck numbers?
sprint180 replied to Bollycats's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I am disappointed also. The only stamp I have ever received is from Russia. That was kinda exciting though. -
Matt Mitcham on CBS's The Love Boat
sprint180 replied to CruizinSusan70's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I got kinda excited there for a minute. Even though I don’t have tv. I thought Love Boat. Yea! But, since it’s a reality show I would pass. Fun knowing Matt will be on it though. -
Why did they stop giving you your S&S when you
sprint180 replied to ThaNectar's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
NCL still give you the card at checkin on my March 22 cruise. They gave my sister the wrong card and we were on the ship, did muster, and were watching sail away when they called her name over the PA as they showed she wasn't on the ship. -
NCL drops vaccine requirement after September 3rd
sprint180 replied to SeaPink0409's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I'm vaxed but my family isn't , I am so glad it is dropped so we can cruise again. I have had covid twice since I've been vaxed. Once I got it in my home town. Once on an airplane. Cruising doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'm just glad we can go places again. I know 8 people that have went on 3 different cruises. All Vaxed. I also know 8 people that came home from the cruise with covid. I'd be on a cruise tomorrow if I could -
We call it "cruise crud"

my family's fav cruise was to Alaska on NCL. Ages 14 up. Everytime i ask my kids what their favorite was they say Alaska. The entertainment was fantastic. I have yet to find amazing food on any line and i've cruise Carnival, ncl, RCI, and Princess. But NCL has good food and two of my favorites. Crepes and Pistachio Creme Brule. NCL had just enough extra for the kids to do that they enjoyed and of course Alaska is Amazing!

Have Cruise Critic roll calls died?
sprint180 replied to Shellbelle28's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
On my first cruise I noticed several Bill and Dorothy get together. I didn't know what these were but I thought that Bill and Dorothy must have a lot of friends to get together so much! -
Spinoff of Decorating Doors

This is how I decorated our door on a recent cruise. The 4 of us shared a room and it was my daughters birthday. You could put a grad hat on one for your son. -

I'm snooty? That's interesting. I join roll calls to get info and help with planning. No where does it say you are obliged to go to a m&G if you do. And I don't by the way. They two I have attended have been a bust with only a handful of people there. -
Change in "dining culture" on cruise ships!
sprint180 replied to Hlitner's topic in Ask a Cruise Question
I go on cruises to spend time with my family. I want to eat with them and see how their day went, not talk to strangers. -

The one time we did it we didn't match well with our table mates.
