  1. Thanks for the laugh! That just reminded me of what Gpa said when he was in a nursing home. He'd get so mad and said, "I keep pushing this button and no one ever comes! What if I'm dying?!!" I said, "Gpa, they know you're not dying cause you keep pushing the button." LOL! He didn't like that answer. We sure do miss him though! RIP Gpa!
  2. Not sure about that but I really don't know. Maybe someone else does. If it were me, I would talk to the MDR manager and try to get a table for your party immediately after you get on the ship. Good luck and happy cruising!

  4. I would probably choose 1052, closest to the AFT elevators; just my preference; not under any pools.
  5. Tom and I will be celebrating my 70th birthday on Odyssey from FLL on February 11th! I believe there are still a few suites available that week, so come and join us, if you dare!😬😉🥂
  6. Found this: Is San Pellegrino high in sugar? How many calories are in a can of Sanpellegrino Italian Sparkling Drinks following the reformulation? There are, on average, 70 calories in each can of Sanpellegrino, approximately 60 calories less than in the previous recipes. Previously, our range of beverages contained an average of 9g of sugar per 100ml. However, Is it healthy to drink San Pellegrino? It's a healthy alternative to sugary sodas. If you opt for sparkling water without added sweeteners, for example, San Pellegrino or Perrier, you can rest assured that sparkling water is a zero-sugar and -calorie alternative to other carbonated beverages like soda.Sep 1, 2021 Cheers!
  7. Will share what my hubby did for me on the ship when I was feeling a bit "under the weather" from celebrating the previous day. My go-to when not feeling up to par has always been good ole fashioned chicken soup. While I was in our room, he went to eat lunch in the WJ. He got a large foam coffee cup, poured in some chicken type broth, gathered some noodles, a few veggies, and a chicken breast. He took it all back to his table and proceeded to cut everything up into small pieces, then poured it all into the cup, put a lid on it, grabbed a soup spoon and some crackers, and brought it to me in our room!! Mmmmm good comfort food! I think I'll keep him awhile longer! LOL!! I am a very lucky woman (don't tell him I said that)!! Cheers!!
  8. Well, s**t! Didn't know that but now I do! Thanks!
  9. Thanks for bringing this to a newbie's (not me though) attention. I once considered trying acupuncture but, after I did my research (guess you learned a lesson), decided that it wasn't for me. You may have saved someone from booking that first session! Happy cruising to you!
  10. Correct. I wish it would notify you when there's a message. I do like the fact that it is now a freebie (or should I say included with your cruise fare)!
  11. Yep, deck 8 shows green is for connecting Promenade cabins. I didn't think you could view the Promenade from deck 9, so, either it's a mistake (imagine that) or maybe there's a peephole somewhere!😲
  12. We've booked with large groups before and it was never a problem for us. The only thing we noticed was a "private party" in one of the lounges some evenings. Maybe others have experienced worse. As far as the ships, we prefer Allure vs Oasis, only because the Allure has not had the ugly purple slide added on to it yet.
  13. Yes, thanks, I read the section entitled transatlantic/transpacific cruises but it only mentions Australia and maybe NZ. We are only cruising to Hawaii, then flying home after 5 nights in Honolulu, and it doesn't mention Hawaii from Vancouver, so I'm guessing there will be no requirements. Will definitely keep checking though before flying to Vancouver!
  14. Yes, we will leave the ship in Honolulu, stay 5 nights there, and then fly back to Indiana (1st time for me to fly first class and I am sooooo excited)!! Celebrating 40th anniversary cruise!!
  15. I should probably head over to the Celebrity postings for this but just wanted a quick ask to you all -- we're cruising from Vancouver to Hawaii (1-way) in September on Celebrity Solstice and this is the first I've heard of vaccinations and testing required for TP cruises. Will this be in effect for our cruise to Hawaii?
  16. I pre-booked Chops lunch for our upcoming Odyssey cruise for both of us on each leg of our B2B. Once at Chops, I will ask if we can use the BOGO for it and maybe get a refund for one meal. If not, I'm ok with that but it doesn't hurt to ask. We really like Chops but have never tried their lunch, so looking forward to it! For those that have eaten the Chops lunch, how is it?
  17. "This was waiting in our cabin. We didn’t realize how hungry we were until I saw it. The drinks were still ice cold. Daiquiri and Mud slides. Damn Daniel." Here ya go for those that don't know!!! LOL!!!!
  18. I remember that phrase (BFE) from back when I was in my 20's, like half a century ago! I'm a country girl, so is that the common denominator or do some city folks remember it as well? Sorry taking away from your review Andrew! Feel free to scold me!
  19. On our last cruise, on 2 separate occasions, I experienced people grabbing an elevator in front of me when I had been the only one sitting there for awhile. As the door closed, I thanked them for taking my elevator (quietly hoping it would somehow get stuck). Most cruisers were courteous but most remembered are those who are not. When I first began using the scooter, I was a pretty bad driver and hit the wall or doorway a few times but never hit a person (thankfully)! If someone wasn't paying attention and blocking my way, sometimes others would say "just beep at them". I don't like using the beeper and it just sounds rude (only my opinion), so I would politely say "excuse me". I didn't consider my predicament a privilege for not waiting in line, going slow, etc., I didn't want to turn into a grouchy old lady on a scooter! There are those who grab elevators from waiting scooters, and there are some scooters that can get pretty mean too. Maybe all of us good Samaritans (like to think I am) can continue to set good examples! Happy cruising to all and cheers!
  20. I would think either ship really; however, if they enjoy video games, etc., I would lean towards Odyssey for the techy/lazer light type shows that they may enjoy! Find videos for both ships and let them watch, so you can decide together! Plenty of fun stuff on either ship IMO! Happy cruising!
  21. My SIL (severe seafood allergy) used to be a Master Chef for a classy Indianapolis restaurant, up until one of the other chefs had not properly cleaned one of the grills before she began cooking on it. She puffed up like a balloon! She quit her job and is no longer a restaurant chef. She said that was a very scary experience and she would not want it to happen again! She loves to cook, so felt sorry for her. Anyway, that was many years ago and she's now happily retired, living next door to her twin and BIL, way out in BFE on 40 acres! They grow most of their own food and are enjoying the peace and quiet.
