  1. The ship is currently in Europe, was doing South America prior. That is most likely why there is no current info. She returns to the US, and resumes service from Port Canaveral Nov 16, 2023. We will be on the Nov 16 cruise.
  2. First off, Congrats on your win. I only had a big win once, at the roulette table on the old Chandris Britannis back in the late 80's. I felt like James Bond, I was decked out in a White Dinner Jacket and Lovey was dressed to the nines, but that was then... Anyway, when we came back from our last cruise in May, my legs and ankles became so swollen I could not get my shoes on, ( late 60's, diabetic, and cardiac). I had an appointment with my cardiologist in a few days anyway. When she saw my legs, she asked me what I had been eating lately. I told her about our cruise, and she started to laugh, and remined me of all the SALT the ships use in their food. I suspect the salt was a major contributor to your ankles also. You did the right thing drinking water as alcohol will dehydrate you also. Great review .
  3. Celebrity Ascent has a 9 night cruise April 27, 2024 from Barcelona. Celebrity's Edge class ships are beautiful ships and the service and food far surpasses anything that MSC or Costa can offer...in my opinion. Also your Royal Caribbean status carries over to Celebrity.
  4. Thanks again...keep it coming. A quick look at that hash, looks like baked beans. When on Mariner of the Seas in May, the hash was topped with some type of Ketchup - BBQ sauce concoction. Was truly awful. Best hash on a ship I ever had was on Big Red Boat (Atlantic) in the 90's.
  5. Looking forward to the rest of your review, thanks for taking the time.
  6. Thanks for your review, and posting the menus. We will be on our 3rd MSC cruise in November, an aft Aurea Suite on Seashore. Did you have Aurea experience, that is usually the only way to get ATD. We do at least three or four 4 days cruises a year, so we are used to a party type of atmosphere, but the "Weed" smoking bothers me... for the price charged I have mentioned that MSC would be "Carnivalized" soon, and it seems to be the case. If MSC does take the drug dog route ala Carnival, it will be the end of them, for us. Thanks again.
  7. Sorry, I just had to... 😇
  8. This should work, (boy, I just dated myself!)
  9. Therein is my problem...Overthinking. It does seem, as others have mentioned, that Miami sailing are where most of the problems are. We haven't done a cruise out of Miami in about five years, since we moved out of Broward County when I retired. We live on the treasure coast now, so Canaveral is convenient, and we always cruise when school is "supposed to be" in session. The problems we had on our last cruise on Mera, (from PC) were all staff and service related, no crowd problems.
  10. Thanks for your review. I'm really starting to rethink our Nov cruise on Seashore. As much as we are looking forward to the Aft "condo", I may not want to take a chance on a FUBAR (a nod to the new Arnold Schwarzenegger series series on Netflix) experience.
  11. From deck 10, # 10288, but you get the idea. We will be in 14280 in Nov, and really looking forward to it.
  12. Bob, check out their social media page, they have been giving a countdown of when the ship will be back (tomorrow) and all the renovations. (very little)
  13. I saw a vlogger filming on Edge recently, and he was stating that part of Celebrity's new "Spring Into Summer" sale will feature up to a $25 on board credit per stateroom for cleaning the windows to the OV staterooms.
  14. And something similar is here These Type C euro to US adapters are all you really need, they will give you 3 US plugs and USB ports. Keep in mind that they are only plug adapters... NOT CONVERTERS. They will work well for charging phones, camera batteries, laptops, etc., but will not work for hair dryers or such. This adapter will give you 3 plugs plus the 2 US plugs in the room, for a total of 5. If you really need more, the plug in post #4 is also a winner.
  15. Very true. Funny thing... One of the YouTubers mentioned often in this thread so far actually mentioned in one of his videos about people complaining about the click bait previews. His response was basically, if you don't like it, don't watch. At least with me, he got his wish. I'm into everything "KA-RUUZ-ING" but can live without the holier than thou attitude.
  16. My apologies, I just had to... 😁
  17. Here are YouTube previews from six of Gary's own Top Vloggers page. I'll let you be the judge what constitutes click bait and what videos may be helpful.
  18. Most, (not all) of the TOP YouTuber's have become nothing more but click bait headlines and useless self gratifying content. When you have a few hundred thousand subscribers, in my opinion their focus tends to lean towards $$ and self-gratification.
  19. Thanks for checking-in Deb. Glad you are enjoying yourself and relaxing since your fiasco in January. I'll wander over to the NCL board.
  20. We were on deck 9 on Edge and it was purrfect!
  21. Actually not a bad deal if you live local. Lovey and I talked about perhaps doing this... We figured based on the 2/1 deal we got last year, (came out to about $100pp, plus taxes), you would have to sail four times to make it pay for itself. The only problem is this one condition: Cruises must be booked 24-72 hours before desired sailing date. But again, if you are local, and or retired, (like us), it may be something.
