I posted this for those who may not be aware of RCI Crown Lounge.

I never complained about Crown Lounge. I am on Symphony in Feb 2024. Bye, bye!

Sorry, nothing is free! How many cruises did it take us to make Diamond or Diamond+?

Apparently they didn't read the comments. If they did, they should have the decency to acknowledge the perks. Maybe they are Celebrity Cruise Line people who only have Happy Hour from 5-7pm. LOL

I know this is Celebrity CC. I am cruising on the Beyond in July. I am Elite + on Celebrity. However, I think that RCI has a much better perk than what Celebrity has done to the new Happy Hour since they cut the number of nights they have HH. Here is what RCI does as you all may be interested. If you don't drink, then it does not apply to you. Just like if you don't cruise, this does not apply to you. The RCI Crown Lounge: They have a good free coffee & cappuccino machine which is open from very early in the morning and all day . There's continental style buffet breakfast, pastries, breads, ham, cheese, cereals etc. Happy Hour, between 4-8, there's a hot and cold hor d'oeuvres buffet, but if there's a lot of Diamond and up members on board they sometimes exclude Diamond during these hours. In the old ships where its in the Viking Crown lounge it's a nice quite place (except during HH) out of the sun to sit and watch the sea go by. There's a concierge there to help with any problems or queries like a mini guest services. Most people use their Diamond and up free drink vouchers so no $$ spent at most bars, lounges, MDR and Specialty Restaurants anytime during the day/night. The ships officers often come by to chat during HH which can be interesting. Finally as in any lounge you can meet interesting people

We were on the Enchanted Princess for 22 days in the Med. Do NOT go into the Piazza just about anytime. They have dancing lessons, exercise classes, etc., almost all morning, then music at night. Princess has added charges for Casual Dining such as Salty Dog, GiGi Pizza and other venues on other ships. I must be careful and say mostly all U.S. Mass Market lines and MSC have cut back and charging more for less.

Well Thank you for letting us all know that there are 2 or 3 who do not. I only cruise U.S. Mass Market and MSC. Now I know where to go for peace and quiet. LOL

Have you been on other cruise lines? All the cruise lines are getting the same complaints. You can't even have a conversation with each other for to the volume.

This is totally ridiculous! It should be standard throughout the fleet. Not what a bar manager decides on a specific ship.

Never seen a dinner. It's Captain's choice and normally lunch or Cocktail Party at night. Most Traveled Cruiser or Passenger top 40 max. Top three passengers sit at Capt table for lunches. Others sit with various officers. Picture taken with Capt. At Repeater Party top 3 introduced. Menu excellent with wine. Excellent perk! Happy Cruising!

Would you like it where you could sign in and out and use your 24 hours over multiple days? Rather than 24 continuous hours.

This is not only on RCI. This change in evening dress has changed on other cruise lines too. Very casual today!

You may also bring your own! Doesn't weight too much. I like Costco Kirkland brand. Many articles on the Internet say you should not wipe more than three wipes. I'm trying that. Still working on it.

Wish it were where we could sign on & off to use the 24 hr period to our advantage to string it over days. Instead of a continuous 24 hours.

The main paragraph I totally disagree with is the one I kept from your posting. I know it is true, however, it is one that should be changed since it is RCI policy/procedures and not Ship decisions. Any Corporation should have standard (SOP) that apply to all. This causes confusion, mistrust, complaints and Urinated Passengers. LOL

Yes, another reduction. However, we will still cruise X and on the Beyond in July B2B.

Yes, they removed the TIPS for the crew! Very expensive package now compare to other cruise lines which include much more.

Another reason the CC Roll Calls are not as busy as before is that many people are using other social media to start new Roll Calls.

JMHO! FOOD is very subjective! If you only cruise one cruise line you have made up your own mind on the quality, selection, presentation, quantity, etc. of the food on that cruise line. Your opinion may be excellent to poor. That is based on your taste. If you cruise on more than one cruise line, you have something to compare Cruise Line food against. We cruise most cruise lines and have no favorite. They each have their pluses and minuses. However, they all, repeat, All have cut back in all aspects of food, entertainment, loyalty perks, etc. They all have increased prices in all aspects of cruise costs, drinks, Speciality Restaurants, etc. Will this change? Yes, they will continue to cutback, increase prices and more. What can we do? You and I have a choice. Spend your money wisely, find the best price and get the best bang for your buck. It's your money, your choice. If you want to cruise, accept what is offered. We cannot change what they do. People make suggestions daily on these forums and some people agree, others don't want change. 'I don't want that big ship or I don't want to change Happy Hour with my cruise line. Leave it as it is as I'm happy the way it is.' We have many Cruise Lines to pick from. Now, it's our choice. Happy Cruising!

Ok, let Zenith keep whatever they have. So, I will correct my post to apply only to Elite and Elite+. Does this satisfy your remark?

I know this is Celebrity & some people will not want Celebrity to become RCI. I also know that I can cruise on RCI to get this perk. However, my personal opinion is that this RCI perk would be very beneficial to all of us who cruise on Celebrity. This would really be a plus to improve and increase our perks. Rather than reduce them as this new change has done. I'm on the Beyond in July 2024 and would love to see this implemented. Elite 4 drinks, Elite 5 drinks & Zenith 6 drinks anytime during the day at any bar, MDR or Special Restaurant. What's your opinion?

MPO! If you are not a drinker $85PPPD is too much. Celebrity had a package last year that included tips, Classic, & Wi-Fi for that price or less. Celebrity is high on their drinks compare to the other lines. Princess has 2 packages that include much more for $60 or $80! I cite that just as example as we cruise both lines and do compare. Others may not be aware of the differences. It's your choice and you do have a choice.

My opinion. We are Diamond+ on RCI, Elite+ on Celebrity, & top levels on other lines. We don't cruise for perks as they are diminishing each year. There is no one cruise line that's the best. Each provide pluses & minuses. A 3 or 4 day cruise is not a true cruise as you are getting on one day unpacking getting to dinner. The next day you have a day or 2. Then you are packing to go home. Enjoy Cruising and try other lines to see different ships, entertainment, food, ports. A Crown Lounge with 4 drinks is not worth your time & money. JMHO
