My feelings exactly, on another thread somebody was complaining about having to pay taxes on any drinks while the ship is on some US ports.
$20 pp daily DSC is nothing compare to the amount of the cruise.
We were on the Viva on the March 3 sailing, we flew into San Juan a day before, boarded the ship on the 3rd around 11:30 am. On disembarkation, carried out our luggage around 7:30am with no hassle.
Thanks you Coast to Coasters and Ms411 for all the info, Will be in St Thomas on NCL Viva on 3/9, will take a walk sky ride and go up to top for a few drinks.
After reading some reviews ended up booking this hotel for 2 nights pre cruise in May, now looking for suggestion on transfer from SEA airport to hotel, other than Uber/Lyft
We love NCL, have 3 upcoming cruises, but have sailed on Celebrity Apex and just got off the Ascent this past Sunday. Already booked their newest ship the Xcel. Really like Celebrity.
The Pride of America is not a great first impression of NCL. That was our 2nd NCL cruise and we noticed the poor service. It's the only ship registered in the US, so the crew is mainly from US, It's an obvious problem, but I can't pin point it.
Hi, I will be going on cruise to Alaska in May and interested on this excursion. Did you book with the cruise line or local independent tour company. TIA
This is right on. But if I'm sitting by the pool on lounger and a server brings me drinks, I'll tip them $1-2 dollars per drink. Sitting by the bar and consuming a few drinks, bartender gets a tip. Specialty restaurant already prepaid gratuity, but if the service is good, I will tip them as well.
I got this from another thread, a beach bar where you can rent chairs with umbrella and have bathrooms facilities. https://coralbeach.ky I booked a beach day pass. Look at website for menu and FAQ, hope this helps.
Originally you posted that you don't care for the FAS package.
All the above are included with NCL package, you only pay gratuity for alcohol and dining. NCL has one of the best alcohol package at sea.
