Frankly, I'd just wait until you get the email from them at six months until renewal. Then do the 'paperwork'. The worst thing you can do to a bureaucracy is mess up their routine. 😉

I just got my renewal and it took about about 7 weeks. I'm assuming they will mail me a new card as mine has a December 2022 expiry date. It may not even matter because my expiry date in the system will be December 2027.

The good news that yield is only about 8.7% over 5 year treasuries. Today they call these high yield bonds. They used to call these Junk bonds which would be apropos for a cruise line bond these days. 🙂 Or perhaps we need a new name for this type of bond. 🤔 Scuttle Bonds? Salvage Bonds? Wreck bonds? Rust Bucket Bonds?

This is a complete 100% non issue. If you like how Royal is handling it, sail with Royal. If you like how Carnival and Princess are handling it sail with them. OK, sail with Princess - Carnival might be too "belly flop" for most Royal cruisers. 😁

The Go only gets you to Union station which is not close to the island airport. From there you have to take a bus/transit or a taxi/uber (10 - 15 minutes) to the Island Airport. It's about a 30 minute walkif you are so inclined. Yes, it's an option but so is flying out of Pearson if you are in the west end of the GTA. As I said, I love Porter but from Mississauga, Oakville or Burlington, Pearson is much easier to get to than Billy Bishop.

I'm in Oakville and taking the Go to Union and then taking the bus to the inland airport will take you at least and hour + . From Burlington 90 minutes minimum. Pearson can be half of that.

I love Porter too. But I see you are from Burlington. Probably easier for you to fly through Pearson. Very limited parking at the Island airport. You must reserve a spot well in advance. Drop off can be a pain too due to the limited space. I used it mainly for business originating from the downtown core.

I think they can get away with saying theses bonds are not dilutive because technically they can choose to pay the holder in cash rather than the stock. Of course, will they have the cash if and when the holders elect to convert is a whole other discussion!

@Bo1953, you are the eternal optimist aren't you. My thinking is that any supposedly intelligent species who watch The Bachelor, Big Brother, Dancing with the D Listers, and uses Tiktok is going to have a great number of it's members disappointed with an undesirable cruise cabin quite often. 😉
