  1. Thanks everyone. We’ve already booked Eden and Rooftop Grill even though our cruise isn’t until Sept 2024 on the Ascent ( we’re “refugees”from our cancelled Beyond cruise). Vicky
  2. Hi everyone. We have occasionally booked speciality restaurants on the first night on the S class ships for a nice discount ( once on board). Does anyone know if this is available on the E class as well? And which restaurants? Thanks.
  3. Great review. We typically dress somewhat on chic nights also. We both miss the formal nights. Made the cruises feel special.
  4. Enjoying the photos- thanks for reposting. Loved the Asian dress, looked amazing, and the matching outfits.
  5. Very much enjoyed your review. Would love to view the photos but as hcat reported, only the last batch opened. Happy Anniversary!
  6. I actually just received a phone call from Adela at Executive offices. She told me of the many emails, etc that they have received and will be taking into consideration. Also how much they appreciated our input as valued cruises, yadayadayada. I did review concerns ( health, etc) and one of the reasons we cruise Celebrity is no smoking. I also mentioned that there are many places for people to smoke and I really didn’t think people would cruise or not cruise Celebrity because vaping is allowed in the casino.
  7. I also received a similar email response however she did state that she attempted to call me but was unsuccessful. She had the wrong phone number but did give me her phone number.
  8. Do you have along and review of your Azamara cruise? Would love to read that. Thanks.
  9. This is the third time Celebrity cancelled cruises on us. We did rebook on the Ascent but at at a much higher cost). They did allow us to “lift and switch” for the two cancelled Japan cruises ( although we were not able to for the second one smaller ship and no availability for the same category). It would have been appropriate ( and the classy thin to do) for Celebrity to offer that again for all of us who were cancelled on the Beyond sailings.
  10. Look at deck plans. You can usually tell where the bed is by the indentation. Also, we always have booked bed by the bath but when on the Apex had bed by balcony after being moved from a cabin with bed by bath ( noise issue and plenty of cabins as was shortly after cruising resumed) and the cabin did feel “roomier”.
  11. Oh no! Our Sept 2024 Med cruise on the Beyond is now scheduled for the Caribbean. 😢😢😢
  12. Lamb chops were always on the smart casual menu the first day ( Eclipse this past May). My husband’s favorite!). He ordered the roast lamb and found it inedible ( tough and full of gristle). And he’s not at all picky). Our assistant waited replaced it but it was exactly the same. Hopefully was a one off. I can’t remember what I had ( excellent) but seems no longer on the menu.
  13. We went to Pearl Harbor on our own the second day the ship was in port. We booked the tickets as soon as opened.
  14. We were sorry we didn’t go to Eden when on the Apex a year ago. Already booked on the Beyond Sept 2024. Looks amazing!
  15. We were a short walk from the Hilton. Husband had to have a drink at the at the bar featured on Hawaii 5-0!
  16. Good morning. We stayed at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. Loved it. It’s actually not on Waikiki but on a small beach about a ten minute walk from the hotels on Waikiki Beach. We had an Oceanview Club Room which included a terrific breakfast and Happy Hour ( enough for dinner). It was pricy but we were celebrating our 50th anniversary. Be sure to book a north shore tour.
  17. We just did the recent May cruise Hawaii to Vancouver. Loved it. One somewhat rough day on way to Vancouver but to too bad. Spend some time in Honolulu before the cruise.
  18. So very much enjoying your review and Amsterdam photos. We’ve been there several times and it’s our favorite small city. Enjoy!
  19. We were on the Eclipse Hawaii to Vancouver this past May. We noticed significant cuts in the MDR appetizer menu. There were always several interesting choices in the past. This cruise several nights just salads and a soup ( due to dietary issues I cannot eat salads or beans, corn etc) so many soups were out for me. The filet and prime rib were still in the menu as was the lobster. The lobster was so tiny we thought anyone who ordered an extra for $17 were crazy. Lamb chops ( which were my husband’s favorite) were replaced by roast lamb. My husband found it tough and full of gristle. Our waitress replaced it but was just the same. We have been loyal Celebrity cruisers for 25 years and know things will not be the same as it was but come on Celebrity.
  20. Thanks for your review. We haven’t cruised to Alaska but are considering for the future. Our very first cruise was also on the Century 25 years ago and completely hooked us on cruising. Wow, was she a wonderful ship! We really do miss the Michael Roux partnership!
  21. Very much enjoyed your review, especially of the Rocky Mountaineer. So detailed. Can I ask which tour company you used for your Lake Louise tour? Thanks.
  22. We went on our recent Eclipse cruise ( Hawaii) and enjoyed it very much. We asked about it when we got on board and we’re able to sign up..
  23. Looking forward to “cruising” along with you on all your upcoming cruises!
