  1. Without getting too political, I seriously doubt there is any threat. You think they are going to come in and start taking hostages? It takes a lot of money to project power, talk is cheap, but Iran doesn’t have a lot. Just look at our military budget. I am not thinking Panama to allow a belligerent country to just start hanging around. I would be surprised if an Iranian ship even shows up, not to mention hangs around.
  2. Everywhere. Bars, restaurants, shows, pool, excursions, you name it.
  3. A quick look at Google maps shows its pretty much exactly 2 hours.
  4. A little looking around the board would find a lot of info on the topics. Cabo is the best place for whale watching, followed by PV. Snorkeling is marginal on the Pacific side of Mexico, and can't recommend it.
  5. The far better place for this post is on your Roll Call, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/66-norwegian-cruise-line-roll-calls/
  6. Did you ask on the NCL board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/64-norwegian-cruise-line/
  7. If you look on the Florida Departures board, this is discussed quite frequently. There is a website where you can see the dock assignments...Google search for the Port Everglades website. There is discussions on shuttles between the two ships (expect Terminal 26 and Terminal 2 for Sky Princess (not Princess Sky), but I can't guarantee those assignments. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/386-florida-departures/
  8. Welcome to Cruise Critic! You will find all the MSC info you will ever need on the portion of Cruise Critic devoted to MSC, located here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/49-msc-cruises/
  9. I would be asking on the Carnival board as to conditions on board the ship.
  10. Try TheBus.org. That is Honolulu's bus system.
  11. You can try sooner. It has been reported many times here that most times it seems not to matter. If you are a high ranking Mariner or a Neptune Suite passenger, your final boarding pass will say "Preferred" on it, and you can board any time.
  12. 2004 and 2002 are not Neptune Suites, and are nowhere near the Neptune Lounge.
  13. It seems to be on sea days on longer cruises. Don't think it would be on a 7 day cruise, but I could be wrong. It was very nice on our 18 day cruise. They usually have it set up by 7:30 am for pictures, and take it down around 10. It's listed in the daily program with some sort of deceptive name.
  14. Close to port would have to include the Hampton Brickell. One of the nicest Hamptons I have ever stayed in (a Lifetime Diamond), in a fun part of town. Recommended here quite frequently.
  15. I don't think so. They would be boarding in a foreign port and disembarking in a US port. That happens regularly...think Vancouver to Alaska. The violation would be if you went from a US port to another US, without a stop in a "distant foreign port".
  16. Have a GTY SB booked for two upcoming Zaandam cruises. Have done it in the past (ended up with 016 on one cruise, don't remember the cabin number on the other, but it was pretty close to midship). No noise problems. If you are booking an SB GTY, not sure what you would be "upgraded" to.
  17. The "latest" you get off the ship is a cruise line policy issue, not port dependent. I would expect 10am at the absolute latest, probably they will be doing last call by 9:30. They will start allowing people off when the port approves. I would expect by 7am, if not a little earlier. The questions about Immigration and Customs need more info, as asked above. Last time we were there, we had sailed from another EU port, so we just did a passport check, no Customs. But there was only two officials to check 2000 people, so the line was long. The official I got wanted to chat, as my last name implies Dutch heritage (its actually been altered by Dutch Immigration in the 1880s when my relatives came over, passing through the Netherlands).
  18. Have sailed Noordam several times, and had a great time. But Holland America is not the same type of cruise line as RSSC...a little bit apples and oranges comparison. Most of the excursions should be pretty similar, I would think, as there are only some many vendors for excursions in Alaska.
  19. Larry's Limo is mentioned here quite frequently, if you look around the board.
  20. The Cabana pricing doesn't include an automatic tip.
  21. The pause is, at this point in time, to 9am Eastern Time. Kind of an important additional piece of info.
  22. There are no discounts booking on board.
