  1. The only issues we ever had was when docked in some ports. The ships docked across from us allowed smoking on the balconies. The smoke would fill up the area between ships. There was also some that didn’t adhere to the regulations and smoked on their balcony. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  2. Worried about pollution from the ducks. They run a lot of rubber duck races for fund raisers. There are many cities in MI that have one I don’t think many escape as they are contained in floating booms. Here is one in the Chicago River. Over 75,000 ducks. Here is one in Tampa
  3. People have been “hiding” rocks. https://inspirekindness.com/blog/rock-painting Where I live they do Downriver Rocks. https://x.com/downriverrocks The rock is in her lap Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  4. Talk to the host in the Retreat Lounge about disembarkation. We did a B2B going from AQ to a SS. We inquired about the B2B at the retreat lounge about if we could join the suite guests on the 2nd leg when embarking. We were told that we could also meet and wait in the lounge that morning instead of going to the area for non suite guests during the disembarkation. Those restaurants get very busy that morning because there is no room service and everyone wants the last meal before getting off. I doubt that they would permit you to do that. There were Tapas, fruit, available in the Retreat Lounge that morning along with pastries. It could be enough to carry you over until lunch in Luminae. We had breakfast in Blu that morning as we were in AQ. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  5. You are on a cruise and the cruise ended. Why would you have to wait around before getting off? It is the end of the cruise. You also have a boarding pass for the next cruise. It is a new cruise. It is no different than when you went on the first cruise. You will have to go thru the same process of embarkation as the other passengers that aren’t doing a B2B. The B2B process makes it easier to exit your first cruise and then embark before the ship is ready for the next cruise. If you don’t go thru that process you will have to embark like you did on the first cruise. Just let the them know what you are planning because they will have your new sea pass card that they distribute during the process. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  6. There will. be passengers lined up to get into the club because the doors are closed. If there is an event before the people attending that will be asked/forced to leave. It happened to us. Not sure if it is for every event. They claimed that they had to set up and clean up. Now when you leave you will be at the end of a long line In Eden some people will stand in front of you depending on where you are seated. The bar area is one and tables next to the bar is. place that people may do that. Neither place was designed well for viewing entertainment. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  7. We had the corner SS on deck 12 on the Silhouette. It is a long walk to the stairs or elevators. it had a large balcony that wrapped around the corner. Being at the top it also had some overhang that did provide some protection from the elements. The cabins below didn’t have much overhang if any. The only real issue was the lack of electrical outlets. There were usb ports in the base of the lamp but it was broken. Told our butler and it got replaced. There was one electrical outlet. The room attendant had to show us where it was. It was on the side of the cabinet under the desk/counter. Not visible unless bending over and looking up, or lying on the floor. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  8. If you want to go into the port I would ask about doing it without waiting around. I would think that you could just walk off with those getting off of the cruise and not have to wait around. You would then come back on as a new cruiser later in the day. You would have to show them your boarding pass and other required documents. You could probably leave with the first group that are carrying off their own luggage around 7:30 am You would not be able to get back on until they start the regular boarding around 11. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  9. I think it would be more fun to hide rubber rats, mice, snakes, spiders, or cockroaches during a Halloween cruise 😱😬. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  10. Here is an article published on Cruise Critic about hiding ducks. The pros and cons https://www.cruisecritic.com/articles/cruise-ducks-cruising-s-strange-obsession Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  11. We have been in AQ cabins many times. Contrary to what many passengers think those cabins and Blu are not staffed with the top servers, or attendants. We had one room attendant that was a rookie and never worked on a cruise ship before. We had to tell her everything that we were supposed to be provided. She told us that it was her first cruise ever. Other times the attendants would only do what they could get away with. We now also carry a printout of what the amenities are for AQ. You will find that most of the amenities are fluff. We asked about the pillow menu. The attendant looked at us rather puzzled. We said that the cabin was supposed have a pillow menu. He said there are the pillows, pick the one you like. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  12. If you watch the promos you may get a discount on the premium upgrade. I recently upgraded for under $10 pp/day. Are the specialty restaurants worth the up charge? For us no. Too much food but it is a nice experience to try once. Unless you try it you will never know if it is worth it. Just because you are traveling with 8 others do have to be joined at the hip for all dining? You may want to have one time away from the crowd. 🤷‍♂️. And they from you.😱😬 You could mention before the cruise that you would like to try one and they could join you. If they do I would recommend doing it 4 at a table. Anything more takes away the intimacy, and creates a loud table. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  13. First con is that you are hostage on the ship and can’t get off.🙄😱 If you want to use the Persian Gardens I would recommend booking an Aqua Class (AQ) cabin for the amenities of that, and it also includes the Blu Restaurant and the other amenities that you get. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  14. You will see many things on the Celebrity website that aren’t true or realistic. There was a cart at the entrance of Eden on the Edge that had some books on it. Not many books and I think it was books that were dropped off by the passengers. I have been on the other Edge class sips and having seen that cart. If you want to read a book bring your own, down load some from the local library or off of Amazon. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🌅
  15. We are looking at booking a cruise on the Beyond sailing on April 19, 2026. Interested in the MC suite 11172. Who will be the butler? 🤷‍♂️😱 Seriously, just in jest going along with some the other requests. 🙄😬 Enjoy your cruise. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  16. They don’t make it easy. It is very difficult. The IT person needs to do a test using random subjects asking them to navigate the app. They want you to use it for many things on the ship and most times the information is wrong. I print out my boarding pass. It is easier to use than trying juggle my phone, access the app , find the boarding pass while also having my pass port and contending with my carry on. 🤷‍♂️ Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  17. I have never thought of them being number 1 but it is the cruise line that suits me at this time. Things may change like everything else. When we took our first cruise it was on Carnival and it was great for us and then we found found a better fit on celebrity. In our younger years we were satisfied with McDonald’s, Burger King, and etc. as we got older we changed our dining habits and likes. Moved up to the porcelain castle. 🙄😬🤣😱. NOT. I don’t care what others think or vote. I go by what appeals to me, and gives me what I feel is the best value. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  18. Did you have a reservation or just drive up? Did your cruise ticket get you a discount? Thanks Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  19. We were at a hotel and talking to the manager about some of the bad reviews. He said it is a game by some to write bad reviews because they know that the company will reimburse them plus maybe some other perks doing so. He said that he companies are getting wise to those that do that and are starting to eliminate that policy. You can sometimes see the same happening on board a ship. You get the complainers that are playing their little game of complaining to get something for free. A host told me about one couple that complained about every thing and made a scene every where they went doing so. The captain had enough and kicked them off at the next port. They got reimbursed for the cruise, were banned from X and had to find and pay their own passage home. I don’t think she was making this up just to tell a story. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  20. Aqua Sky Suite allows you to dine in Blu, and Luminae plus access to the Sea Thermal suite ( Persian Garden ) plus some other amenities. We were in AQ and went to the Sea Thermal Spa. We weren’t impressed as it was rather boring. The loungers weren’t comfortable and were in the sun. We try to avoid the sun because my wife had skin cancer on her face. The rooms were very boring. Sitting in a room with a crystal, or salt block? Or in a hot sauna, or steam room. We were in the Caribbean and could get the same feeling siting on our balcony while enjoying the sounds and sight of the sea. We have also sailed on the Edge class in a SS and didn’t see any reason to dine in Blu. The food and atmosphere was better in Luminae. Service is always great no matter where you dine. In a suite I think you always also have the option to dine in the MDRs but why would you want to? Sail another time in cheaper category to do that. We did a B2B2B in a SS,AQ, SS. We got the privileges of the suites for embarkation and disembarkation for the transfers. It was something we had to do for lifting and shifting due to Covid so were able to experience both Blu and Luminae on the same ship. Blu was nice but Luminae was much better. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  21. How did you make the reservation on line. I tried and it wants me to download the park wiz app. I did that and the price I got for 11 nights is over $500 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  22. I have seen that the parking at lot C1 is $20/day if you show them a cruise ticket. I have looked on line and for a 11 night cruise leaving. Sept 30 the price is $346.50 https://promo.parking.com/boston-cruise-parking/ I don’t want to pay that amount and hopefully I can just pull up to the port and park for a more reasonable rate. Hopefully it isn’t totally filled up. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  23. Anything is possible. If you don’t like the cabin and see that one is available in the same category you might be able to change to that cabin. If you do that you it will usually be the cabin you get. Have done that in the past. Don’t mean that they still do that. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  24. It is if you want some free wine and have free time to kill. Usually 2 reds and 2 whites. They go over the basics about clarity, legs, aromas, and how to act as if you know what you doing when sampling a wine. it depends on who is giving it. Sometimes it is difficult to hear, or understand the presenter as their first language isn’t English. Drink the wine and enjoy the time. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  25. It depends on the quality of the glass. They make many different qualities. I have seen them for sale at Target, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, as other retailers. It depends on what quality of glass you want and what marketing ploy you bought into. Do they use Reidel glasses for wine competitions? 🤷‍♂️ Personally wine tasted the best when cruising down the street with my date drinking it out of a bottle wrapped in a brown paper sack that was purchased with no questions asked back in the day. Cash was king. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
