  1. It depends if the officer in charge is right handed or left handed.🙄🤗😱 We normally book starboard as it is the non smoking side. We also try to do because it keeps it simpler to know what way to turn when we leave our cabin or going back to it. If you cruise enough you will know what I am referring to. Most of the time our cruises were docked on the starboard side. The last cruise it was all on the port side. It doesn’t matter because If I want to see something on the other side I can always go to that side of the ship on a open deck. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  2. Passengers stay in their booked cabin. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  3. The only drunk rowdies I have also experienced were on Celebrity. Both were at the Elite HH when they were in Michaels Club or the Sky Lounge. The one was a rather large bully that was threatening the CC host. He told her that he was Elite Plus, bigger than she was and and would have her job and kept on ranting and raving and threatening her. She was in tears. I stepped in and told him to leave her alone and try pushing me around. I was half his size but know how to defend myself. She called security and I backed her up. Never seen him again Another was drunk in the Sky Lounge during HH . We got in when it opened and also had a premium drink pack. There was a passenger at the table next to us that downed 2 beers before the server ever got to us. He started to yell at her that he wanted another beer. She said there are other customers that haven’t been served. I ordered a premium beer using my drink pack. She came to deliver it and he grabbed it off the tray. She told him it was a premium beer and he would have to pay for it. He told her to F off Security came and hauled him away. Carnival is what it advertises. A Fun Ship. Service was always great and the food wasn't much different.. Passengers must have liked it because they chow down the same as on Celebrity. We had fun but now enjoy the laid back experience on Celebrity Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  4. We have sailed 16 times on Carnival and enjoyed everyone and kept on booking them. We tried Celerbrity and now have about 40 cruises with them and most were 7 to 14 nights with many B2B. Haven’t sailed on Carnival since We live too far away to do a short cruise unless doing a side by side with a longer one. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  5. The Persian gardens on the Summit is nothing special. It is a heated bench like a church pew that is against the wall that seats about 6 people elbow to elbow. The room is like being in a cellar Bidding on the suite isn’t a guarantee. Don’t know how much the minimum bid is but it is up to you to decide if is worth more I would stay with AQ and book a suite on board for another cruise. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  6. You were on a B2B. Was it your desire to leave or was it Celebrity that told you you couldn’t sail? curious as we have a B2B coming up on the Equinox. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  7. We are on the ship now. We had him many times in Blu and was surprised to have him in Lunimae. A great waiter Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  8. Louis XIII at Costco in Fl. It would probably end up being the same price after sales tax I have found for the most part that the duty free shops don’t really offer much of a discount. The small amount of savings if any isn’t worth the hassle of taking off the ship Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  9. If this is allowed I will invite everyone on the roll call, those on the shuttle from the parking lot and everyone in the terminal to join me on my next cruise when I am in a suite. I will say they are all in my party and joining me for this cruise. 😱 🤗 Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  10. One issue you may encounter is the guard at the escalator. I seen them only allow one piece of luggage pp on it. If you have more they will direct you to the elevator. Good luck Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  11. It is what it is. You have the same perks you had with your original cruise. You do not get the perks that maybe included in the suites. I say that because there are times when suites have a sail only price. You do get the amenities of that suite. If in a Royal or above you would get the premium pack as that is one of the amenities. You may also be charged for the difference in gratuities. Not sure but be prepared. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  12. Don’t purchase the bucket of beer in port at Ft Lauderdale. I did it to have a beer for the sail away before there were the drink packages. On the invoice they charged the Fl tax that wiped away any savings. At that time it was 6 for the price of 5. I have never seen 6 for 4. Haven’t seen it lately but at one time they had a HH drink menu at the Martini Bar. A few select Martinis were at a reduced price for a few hours prior to dinner. Sometimes various bars would advertise drink specials during designated times. Go to the Captains reception. The drink of the day is no bargain price or special price. It is just a suggestion of what to drink that day Go to all of the free sample tastings they have in the liquor shop. Be at the martini bar when they do the Martini Show. They give the drinks out for free when done with the multipour. Go to the various promotions where they give out glasses of Sparkling wine. Follow me around as I leave more drinks than I consume because they didn’t make it right or I didn’t like the taste. I asked for a Old Fashion not top off with water so soda as many BTs do on board. When it is served it is topped off. I think it is from habit . One time instead of using orange peel a lemon peel was used. I will try the different beers and to me many taste skunky. One sip and I leave it I will try the various drinks from the drink menus. Don’t like about 80% of them. Take a sip and leave it. It is nice to have the drink pack so I can do that. I would have been disappointed if I paid by drink. Many times you may be able to buy alcohol in the various ports and slip it by. Worst is they hold if for you until the end of the cruise Any liquor bought in a port will be deliver on the last night, if bought the duty free shop/ on the last night and you can take it with you and have a few drinks from it. If doing a B2B you have it for the next cruise. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  13. My observation was that it was full bottles that were left in their inventory that were longer being supplied from their source. eg Knob Creek, Bookers, Bakers, Blanton and etc. I purchased the bottle of Blanton for $50 that was their starting price. It wasn’t really a bargain price compared to the same retail price but it was available and was getting scarce in the states. I couldn’t believe that I got it. Then they added the 20% to make the price $60. The one hour event was advertised in the daily paper. It was held in Cellar Masters and very few people showed up. I think that I was the only one that bought a bottle. It wasn’t a blind auction. There were sheets by each bottle. At the top was the starting price. You would write your name and amount of bid on the next line. I wrote my name and $50. No one else placed any bids on any of the other bottles. There were six difference bottles. At the end they asked if I want to purchase the rest for the minimum. I turn down the offer as I wasn’t t interested and didn’t want to carry it off the ship. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  14. Try the Classic and see how it works for you. Both don’t need sign up the Premium. Very rarely do both of us drink premium drinks at the same time. You just pay difference in the cost of a drink over the allowable cost. If you buy a bottle of wine the one with the premium package should pay for it. Same with the upgraded internet. You can share it but only one device can be signed in at one time. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  15. It could also be to the availability of a pilot and dock hands. It could also be saving some on the docking fees. Also leaving at 5 instead of 6 could be for the dining hours and ships nightly activities There could be many reasons Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  16. Thanks for the offer but no need as we will be on the Equinox for the next cruise and everything is shown in the App. The first day is exactly as the one you posted. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🌅🇺🇸
  17. I know for a fact that it was added as I wouldn’t make it up it was before Covid and maybe things have changed or you got a break. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🌅🇺🇸
  18. I had no plan on drinking it on board. I had the premium drink pack and had more than enough to drink Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  19. I bought a bottle of bourbon at a silent auction. I placed the minimum and no one else bid on it. When I got my final invoice there was a 20% gratuity added to it and most of the bargain price disappeared. I am happy that the duty free ships on board don’t add a 20% gratuity. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  20. On our last cruise on Celebrity in March. Every day we would see this elderly couple sitting near during breakfast in Luminae. They always wore a badge on chest. We tried to read it without staring. It looked like ambassador. We asked the host who are they? She said it had something to do with their status on Royal Caribbean. I thought it was about as tacky as when we use to sail on Carnival. At the time we love Carnival and had great times but many passengers loved to flaunt their status by wearing all of the pins they got from every cruise on their land yards that also displayed their sea pass card because the color designated their status. When they ran out off space on the land yard they also had a vest or hat. Apparently it means a lot to some people but your status or how my times you have cruised doesn’t impress me. I treat everyone the same no matter what category you are in or CC status. None of that means anything. Happy sailing 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  21. It was the HS homecoming weekend in our city. Our neighbors were outside taking pictures. Both of the males are on the football team . All of the females dates were wearing long floor length gowns with slits up to their waist and you could see that they were wearing thongs as the band showed. What I didn’t see was any of the girls with purple, pink, green hair and etc. One male showed up and looked like a cross between Little Richard, Liberace, and Elton John. He had a pink jacket, purple shirt, and a polka dot bow tie, wearing oversized sunglasses. Baby blue trousers that were 4 inches above his shoes, no socks and white patten leather shoes that had red sequins from the instep to the toes. As a fan of our HS football team I know that he is ranked in the top 10 players in the state for his position. The custom use to be that the male didn’t dress to show up the female. Now it appears as if the male is becoming like the the animals where the male has the glitz. The new normal dress up. My wife and I then laughed about how bad it was when we were in school that the girls wore those dresses with the petty coats. How ridiculous was that. I can’t image how hard it was for them to go the restroom. My wife and I went to different schools and she said that she never wore one as they didn’t have a homecoming and the proms weren’t that formal as it was closed to outsiders and everyone went without really dressing up and most went without a date. It was a small Catholic School. 45 in the class Things keep changing. Like it or not. We adapt Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  22. A few years back I would always wear my work clothes on formal night before the chic. I was never denied entrance or turned away for not wearing the proper attire. I worked for a automotive company in a stamping plant but my position required me to wear a suit and tie. I bought the cheapest outfits I could find. Little did anyone know on board that my attire had a lot of sweat, grease, and oil spots, that were removed by the dry cleaners. Or maybe none of it was removed and it just blended in with color of my black suit. There were also very small holes burned in from the welding sparks. If they were looking that close to see the holes I am flattered. If they knew I was wearing my work clothes would it have ruined their dining experience? It shouldn’t have because I was “dressed up” according to their rules at the time. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  23. As others have posted I am having a problem on Safari. Don’t have any on Chrome. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  24. To me it was rather ridiculous to dress up in a suite in the Caribbean to dine. As soon as I sat down I took off my jacket. Then they serve the messiest meal there is, lobster and don’t provide bibs. As soon as I got done dining I would change back into something comfortable. I didn’t see any purpose of having to sit in a dark theater wearing a suite and tie or having a drink at a lounge. To make it worse depending on the cruise line after dinner everyone starts twirling their napkin above their head flinging all the food droppings around the dining room. Is that what formal night is? Get dressed up to act like a party at Animal House. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
  25. I recently submitted for 2 B2B cruises starting on Oct 15, about 2 weeks ago. It was on a Thursday. I got a confirmation by email on the following Weds. I was about to resubmit when I got them. The confirmation was in the form of a invoice showing my additional OBC. It was a little confusing to figure out. They don’t make anything simple. Happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
