Cochem castle has lots of steps and cobbles but when we went you could take a Landy up.

If you go to the Roll Calls section there is an extensive Scenic one with absolutely loads of info on it.

Yes I must admit if you want a few pounds and I suppose a few dollars worth you’ll get them over the counter but if you want hundreds then ordering is the only way. We were off to the wilds of France not the usual place to find a card reader. Plus yes the exchange rate is challenging.

I must admit in the U.K. instead of just walking into the bank and exchanging for Euros directly as we always used to they had to be ordered. Never has that happened since the Euro was introduced. Seems weird.

It certainly won’t be a dash more of a gentle cruise and usually for some reason during the night. Maybe it’s something to do with the moons effect on the rivers.

Of course! especially it’s what I usually advise people to do first. Some few years ago we did ask about an inclusion, prior to all inclusive, it was available in Australia but not offered in the U.K. and we had just returned from a cruise where we were almost the lone Brits amongst Canadians and Australians by the way wonderful cruise really helped by our fellow cruisers. Much to our delight we had it offered for free if we booked for the year.

As I’ve said before read their Ts & Cs. I know the answer is not helpful but they differ from country to country as the law differs from country to country.

Interesting statistic in a household of two. Although I do agree there’s no good way to have it but it would seem we as a civilisation are at least learning to cope or live with it.

isnowman thanks for publishing have just got home and had I think worked out how to do it. They most probably had other things on their corporate minds as they’ve only just got a fully functioning website up and running. Well the letter seems to be doing the rounds and people are still wingging well you cannot please everyone and obviously not that many on these boards. I wonder what would have happened if they had paid the ransome! If I remember correctly it was reported on these boards that other cruise companies had hiccups around this time. Just because it’s not a North American company doesn’t mean it’s any lesser. I think that finally ensures that I could never be an influencer.

I think it might have been on one of the Smithsonian programmes my DH was burbaling about it.

Scenic have and adult accompanied and cabin share under 18 requirement and an under 12 discouraged and at Scenics discretion requirement in their Ts & Cs for the U.K. That being said the youngest I’ve seen and met were a lovely Japanese couple on honeymoon. They were completely embraced by the majority of the passengers we learned so much about Japan and it turned out they had been given a completely wrong impression of river cruising especially the age demographic, evidently they are still in touch with several of our fellow passengers.

What a superb example of how well these river cruise teams are trained that’s two from completely different companies with gold stars for their competence in a potentially dangerous situation. Sounds a bit! but we’ll done.
