MsSoCalCruiser Posted May 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2018 We board the Star Princess this Saturday. Do you know if the Royal Wedding will be televised onboard? :)
neverbeenhere Posted May 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2018 No I don’t know. But things like this (I don’t understand why) frequently result in a presentation of the event in the theater or other location.

I usually don't watch but for some reason being on a Princess ship makes me want to :)
antsp Posted May 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 16, 2018 Princess stated it will be shown on all ships, I think there is even free ship champagne to. It was promoted in the UK
fishywood Posted May 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 16, 2018 Saw Will and Kate's wedding onboard in 2011. Live at 5 AM in the Princess Theater and replayed in the afternoon on MUTS. But as you are boarding in Whittier the coverage starts at 1AM local time. By the time you board he'll probably have her out of that dress already. paul929207 Posted May 16, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 16, 2018 We watched Will & Kate's wedding 7 years ago on the Ocean Princess. Harry & Megan will probably be shown on Princess ships, but it will probably be over when passengers are boarded.
Rare CineGraphic Posted May 16, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 16, 2018 All of the major news networks plan on covering the wedding. You'll have your choice of several channels, all with the same video feed, the only difference will be the commentary.

tailspintom Posted May 16, 2018 #11 Share Posted May 16, 2018 If you are boarding on Saturday, the wedding will be over before you get onboard. Or, to put a positive outlook on it, you will be able to enjoy the wedding prior to boarding. And then, enjoy talking about it over lunch with your fellow passengers. Rare TracieABD Posted May 16, 2018 #12 Share Posted May 16, 2018 It is so early in the morning here in the US, 7 am EST and 4 am PST. I am leaving for a cruise on that day too... so my tiara is already packed.
AlibearNS Posted May 16, 2018 #13 Share Posted May 16, 2018 I'm British, and on our recent cruise a lady at the next table leaned across and asked what I thought of Meghan. I honestly thought she meant the waiter. Oops. :o

DrivesLikeMario Posted May 16, 2018 #15 Share Posted May 16, 2018 LOL They might re-televise it in the theatre after boarding.
