The Definitive Harmony of the Seas ship tour video

Here is probably the most awaited for video of each of my cruises, the complete Harmony of the Seas ship tour. This video covers all of the public spaces onboard featuring a "You Are Here" dot to help you keep your bearing strait throughout the ship.

This is usually one of the tougher ones to produce with so much tedious editing to get everything right. There are 450+ video clips included in this along with over 1,000 key frames on that little yellow dot. So it is certainly no small feat to get these tour videos right. On top of that i've been battling google and apple for the past week which delayed things. Before I even began editing though it was tough to even get the footage. Normally these videos are filmed on a port day when the ship is empty and late at night. On the Harmony of the Seas there were only two port days and I had excurssions for both. At night they cleaned stripped apart every single venue onboard. So most of these videos are late at night (many on the last night) as well as during the day on 10/31 through 11/2. It was a bit chaotic to pull off and a whole lot of challenges but I think it turned out incredible and it's ready now!

I hope you enjoy and please feel free to share the link!

In addition to this complete tour video please feel free to follow along with my Harmony of the Seas transatlantic experience thread with tons of videos and photos: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2424199

This is the sixth tour in the series so if you enjoy it be sure to check out the Grandeur of the Seas, Jewel of the Seas, Quantum of the Seas, Falmouth Jamaica, and Labadee Haiti tours as well which all feature the same style:

Thanks for this. I had not realized how much bigger Mini-Bites was than Wipeout Cafe.

Yep, I think it's still the same size space used up on the deckplans (well if they had updated them), but by removing the wall all of that outside seating space suddenly becomes a part of it. I ate their so many times for breakfast and lunch. It was a great place to grab a bite after arriving in a port since it was normally quick and empty with a great view.

So whos gonna be the one that goes through and timestamps each new place so people can jump to what they want to view? :)

If someone does let me know because I have to do that eventually. I've been working on a new website to help people better digest all of my videos and find the tiny parts of content that could be relevant to their interests from within large videos like these tours and theCruiseView. I've already inventoried every single video I've posted up to the Harmony of the Seas and was hoping to be ready to go live before Harmony. Unfortunately that didn't work out so hopefully I'll be ready by the time I get to Anthem in April. I think it will really help people a lot, it's just a ton of data entry work. I have 278 videos so far which equals thousands of segments. I even segmented each song during the parties so you'll be able to quickly and easily compare the same song between ships. So you can just imagine how many segments that adds up to and in addition to writing the website and the data, the last step is to ensure each individual segment has an image. It's a massive project, but it will be really cool and handy when I get it done.

Holy cow! Nice job!![emoji1430] I like the king of the world view. My teens will enjoy that as a photo stop. I also didn't know that they had a theater in the kids area. I can't imagine how much time this took. Wow. I tried to subscribe on the top video but I don't think you can from this link. Maybe I'm wrong. If there is another way, let me know. Thank you.

Thank you everyone! If you visit http://thecruiseview.com/ it'll take you right to my YouTube page where you can subscribe to my channel and find all of my other videos. As has been shared again, here is the link to the video itself which can be sent to others:

If either of those links don't work please let me know.

For anyone that didn't like the panning or wants to see a bit more of the various areas, I've got the first of the neighborhood walk through tours today. Today's video features the Main Dining Room.

Let me know what you think. I'm trying to balance 100% walk through and using my many shots of the venues. Do you prefer the walk through followed by a montage of shots, shots overlaid on shots, or shots inserted within the walk through? Does everyone like the walk through or prefer a montage of clips? I have the Wonderland/Izumi one done and ready to post soon, I'm working on the Pool Deck at the moment. I'm creating these as I load all the venue footage into Final Cut Pro for each episode of theCruiseView's venue tours.

My second walk through tour video is Wonderland & Izumi. This is a short one, but these are smaller venues that are off on their own, not really a part of any particular neighborhood. I filmed this during the evening when the venues were empty so you can see them at their best.

I'm working on the pool deck video right now.

Take a tour of a deserted pool deck onboard the Harmony of the Seas in both day and night! The addition of the water slides and extra level on the adult solarium makes her pool deck easily the largest at sea. I also have the two bridge wings and King of the World included.

I'm sure someone will ask how I got it so deserted so I'll just tell you now. When life gives you lemons make lemonade. Departure day was hugely delayed for us due to the failed coast guard inspection so the crew had to conduct all of their evacuation drills before being passed. That put a complete halt to the departures so instead of sitting around for the 2 hours I took a walk and got some great footage like this!

Thank you, very thorough job!

Unless they fix the Solarium which I believe they have totally ruined, will never be on her.

Yeah, it's nicely themed like the one on Quantum but could have used the tiered pool from her as well. They did repurpose the sports pool into an adult pool for our sailing, not sure how standard that will be now that she is in the states.

Take a tour of the Entertainment Place onboard the Harmony of the Seas. Tucked away just below the Royal Promenade this area extends across nearly the entire deck 4 with the Royal Theater in the front, Jazz on 4, The Attic, and the Diamond Club in the middle along with Studio B, and then the Casino Royale in the back. They redone this middle area a bit to retheme and purpose the Blaze Night Club into The Attic as both a night club and comedy club while the former Comedy Club is now the Diamond Club.
