Piecukonis Posted August 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Hi fellow cruisers!! I am cruising out of the port of Miami on the Horizon in November. I am looking at parking while on the cruise. Hotel parking won't work as we are actually staying in Orlando for some pre-cruise vacay days but driving into Miami the day of....but would like to know about parking options for the cruise. Has anyone used alternative parking for the duration of the cruise or only the Carnival parking lot at $22/day? Any recommendations? Thank you! canadaman111 Posted August 20, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2018 We are planning a cruise from Miami next February. From what I can tell you should just use the lot at the port even though it is quite costly. It is safe and secure which apparently isn't the case at many other lots in Miami

Rachael Premier Parking 'garage' premiercruiseparking.com, just make sure you get the garage, there is another parking 'lot' in Miami with the same name. They charge about 10.50 a day! Shuttle to and from port, we never had a problem with them, some have! Otherwise there are parking lots near the port, but your car is out in the open! Google search, there should be a thread about parking on cruise critic! If you ever come in early, there are a lot of hotels that have 'snooze and cruise' specials that allow you to park your car at their hotel! Micahs Grandad Posted August 20, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2018 Go to N A Homeports page and you will find numerous threads on offsite parking. We have used several and happy with results
BNBR Posted August 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2018 I'll save you the trouble of looking elsewhere. NOBODY recommends parking outside of the port in Miami. Fort Lauderdale has good options, Miami, no. Park at the port.

GTO-Girl Posted August 21, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 21, 2018 ALL of the locals here on the boards say “park at the port”......so that is what I would do...:D I trust them!!!
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 21, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 21, 2018 Yes not only the locals recommend parking at the port but also some of us "out of staters". In addition to safety of your vehicle parking at this port is very convenient. Keith
