Hope this isn't a duplicate, but I didn’t see a thread for the Maasdam today, but I can see her in the port. Scheduled departure is, 4:00 PM Eastern. (Please note how much better Boytjie's announcements are?)

OK, OK... I didn't have it posted a day before! Sheeshhhh :D

Today we say goodbye to the Maasdam as she moves to the Northwest for her Alaska season. In September she moves Down Under to Australia.

The Maasdam is scheduled to set sail at 16:00/4:00 PM EST(subject to change as always).

The webcams are at:

http://portevergladeswebcam.com/

http://ftlauderdalewebcam.com/

The Maasdam's 20-Day 20 Night Panama Canal itinerary:

May 3 Fort Lauderdale, Florida

May 4 At Sea

May 5 At Sea

May 6 Cartagena, Colombia

May 7 Panama Canal

May 8 At Sea

May 9 Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica

May 10 At Sea

May 11 Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala

May 12 Puerto Chiapas, Mexico

May 13 Huatulco, Mexico

May 14 At Sea

May 15 Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

May 16 Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

May 17 At Sea

May 18 San Diego, California

May 19 At Sea

May 20 At Sea

May 21 Victoria, British Columbia

May 22 Vancouver, Canada

May 23 Seattle, Washington

There are also two shorter itineraries: a 15-day that ends in San Diego and a 19-day that ends in Seattle.

You just have us all spoiled because of the great job you do with the sailaway threads. Thanks for all the work you do for us.

If the camera is panning, check out the Navy and Coast Guard vessels. Also check back after dark. The ships were very nicely lit up last night.

Thanks and no worries. My wife and I looked out the window this morning, saw the familiar blue hull, and said, "I wonder which HAL ship that is?" We kinda guessed Maasdam based on the stack. I fired up CruiseCritic on my phone but couldn't find a sail away thread.

I posted my own little lame attempt, but yours is of such higher quality. :)

Looks like at least one U.S. Navy warship in port; amphibious assault ship

USS Bataan.

There are some sail in links and video here

I messed up the Wikipedia links in my post, but the pictures should be fine. I didn't get the USCG Cutter Robert Yered because I had work to do, but I got the Navy ships.

Should be interesting to see them depart :)

They got more shoreside air horns than the cruise ships usually do. The salutes started at around 6:45 AM. :D

Nice wakeup call :D

We were up anyway because I had to take my camera outside so the humidity could normalize. We'll have to get ourselves a flag to wave for these occasions.

Glad to hear you had a good world cruise. Welcome back! It's probably a bit of an adjustment. The location is less exotic now, but the sleeping quarters are HUGE.
