When do they change the Broadway Shows

I have sailed the Oasis twice. The first time Hairspray was the show and the second time it was Cats. Planning on going on the Oasis in the fall of 2018, do you think it will still be Cats or will they change it by then?

Probably will still be CATS. They typically don't change shows except during a dry dock.

We are going on the symphony next October. We were so hoping for a great new show but they are using hairspray. Not happy. :(

It will be Cats. We had did the Back Stage tour many years ago and that question was asked. Due to the cost of the production, they will keep them for at least 5 or so years.

If I was to guess, CATS will be removed during Oasis' dry dock in 2019.

Definitely still Cats. They can´t change the shows as the stage scenery has to be brought in for a new show and the old one has to be brought out. So after the 2014 dry dock they did change the stage but didn´t show Cats until after the TA. There was a piano preview on the TA.

Yes, they need to until dry dock to change out these shows. The backdrops/scenery are heavy and cumbersome. It takes time and proper equipment to remove one set and replace another. Definitely not enough time or proper equipment available on a turnaround day.
