Deluxe Drink Package - Soda?

I have searched the board and have not found the answer to my questions. Plus I have read on the RCI website. Please excuse my ignorance but does the deluxe drink package include soft drinks?

Yes, fountain drinks only, normally no cans.

The Deluxe Beverage package includes unlimited alcohol up to a value of $12, bottled waters, fresh squeezed juices, premium coffees and teas, and fountain soda!

If you book the package before you sail, you will find a Coca-Cola souvenir cup in your stateroom which you can use at the different Coca-Cola Freestyle machines around the ship. If you book it on board, they will give you the cup at the time of purchase.

Which ship. Not all ships have the freestyle machines on board.

We were on the Anthem March 24 with the deluxe package. We had no problem getting cans - in the Windjammer, Schooner, and pub. Even found a rare Coke Zero can! I would get a glass of ice and then dump it all into my Yeti cup that I brought with me. Cold soda for hours! Now our kids, who had the soda package, were not able to get cans. We were told they had to use their souvenir cup.

We have had trouble on a few RC ships with the soda machine. They do not always keep it full- so sometimes it doesn't work. But in the event of a problem, you can go to any bar for soda- but of course not as many choices. Hope they do a better job keeping the machine full on our next August cruise. Our first time on the Adventure of the seas, and I am not sure that ship even has the machine- does somebody know as the ship came out of dry dock a few months ago. Txs
