Just curious if there is a section for "my reviews" or something I can share with my travel agent.

Cliffnotes:

Great ship. Horrible ports for the most part through the Canal. Had some issues with all except PV and Mazatlan. 2 were cancelled last min by NCL. Not cool.

Cigar Lounge as advertised is full of cigarette smokers. This is an issue and highly uncool. They should take a lead from Celebrity or Princess on this one.

The Beatles show was unlistenable, bass player was always wasted. The rest of the entertainment was AWESOME.

Great food in the buffets. The sit down meals were average.

The ship itself was excellent. We liked it more than the Getaway but missed the Brazilian Steakhouse.

Not sure when you posted your review but it does take a little time. You should receive an email when it's been approved and posted. I don't see it listed in the reviews yet. Don't worry, it'll be there soon.

Thanks for taking the time to do it.

Cheers.

how much is NCL refunding you for missing the 2 ports?

for my cruise on the Gem in 2014, we missed Tortola. they refunded $100 per person.

given my 11day cruise costs $400, i was HAPPY! ;p

did you talk to the Hotel director about both the cigar lounge and beatles show?

or at least drop him a note?

How was the buffet on the bliss any different than the buffet on other ncl ships?

im going on the Mexican Riviera on the Bliss in Oct, which has some of the same ports as the Panama cruise.

What issues did you have?

also, when your review gets approved, post a link here!

I will post the link when I get it for sure.

I did spend a bit of time discussing my concerns with the directors actually. They did agree.

I felt like the food in the buffet was just of higher quality and their ethnic options such as Indian were by far the highest quality we have had on any cruise and we have done Royal, Princess, NCL and Celebrity. I wish the same could be said for the dining room foods. Which we found to be average at best and below the Getaways offerings.

Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan were the only ports we really enjoyed.

NCL will do nothing about smoke in the smoking lounge.

The ports are typical ports for a canal crossing. So, again, no action anticipated because the "liking" of a port is a personal preference.

What's crazy is they called it the "Cigar Humidor Lounge" or something to that affect. It was full of smokers. Then at the H20 club up top there is another spot for smoking. Full of cigarette smokers. Then there is a section in the Casino for smoking only. Guess what, full of cigarette smokers and from what I heard no cigars allowed. ha!

Time for these ships to step into the cigarette free world already IMO.

I heard the May 25 sailing is a PR and travel agents sailing before repositioning to Seattle for Alaska cruises.

Regarding the Beatles group, a different Beatles group is performing this weekend on the May 25 sailing, so it is not the group that was on the previous sailing. This group is performing for the first time on Norwegian. Just FYI.

We disembarked from the Bliss on May 25, 2018.

We saw 2 different Beatle’s groups in the Cavern on our cruise and went to the theater show, but left after a few minutes because the singing was off key also. None of the groups were good, but the Asian guys were the better of the ones we saw. We enjoyed the rest of the entertainment, especially Uptown, The Jersey Boys, iHavana and the featured female singer who was exceptionally talented. Her name is escaping me right now.

The food in the specialty restaurants was nothing to write home about. It was not as good as what anyone could cook at home in the Italian restaurant and I heard several people say the same for the Mexican so we didn’t try it.

The Garden Buffet was much better quality and the variety was terrific—- Prime Rib, King Crab legs, shrimp, Roasted whole duck, turkey, and chicken. Lots of variety. The Indian section was terrific. Great tastes. Desserts weren’t spectacular, but I ate them anyway!

Loved the shower with the 6 movable jets and the large main sprinkler because it was much better than on any other cruise line we’ve been on.

There are NO outlets by the beds. The only strip of outlets are under the mirror on the opposite side of the room. Luckily we brought a power strip and a 9 foot extension cord. It would have been better if we had brought a longer extension, but the 9 foot worked. Hope this is helpful for future travelers. We had a mini suite, mid ship.

But you did know about the USB ports by the bed, right? I assume the only reason you would need an outlet there these days is to charge a phone or tablet.

Couldn't agree more with your asessment. The Asian group was pretty good though, Siglo. As for the female singer she was a real treat. Jenene Caramielo. Amazing voice.

Please try posting your review directly on Norwegian Cruise Line Page. Thanks. I’d love to read your review! What is your title?

As far as I know this is the NCL page?? Not sure what the title was. I wrote it a few days ago. Still hasn't been posted.

Is there just 1 person reviewing all the reviews for the site?

Just returned from the May 10, 2018 sailing. The Beatles show was one of the worst I have ever seen! The nostalgia of hearing the songs was great. The group did their best to screw them up!

The ship was great you said but the ports were horrible? Can you extrapolate a bit as I've followed a couple "Live From" threads and seems everybody enjoyed the ports.

I am looking at the eastbound crossing this November.

Maybe you can comment for the guy above on the ports. We thought they were not great.

We enjoyed Antigua Guatamala, Puerto Vallrta and Mazatlan but you do NOT need to do a Panama crossing to see those. Colombia and Costa Rica were docked in horrible locations.
