Parents split in 2 staterooms: wine/alcohol questions

Extended family cruise on Symphony in March. Because of minor children the parents are booked in two different staterooms each with children. Will they be able to bring 2 bottles of wine per stateroom onboard? Or only one due to only one adult in the stateroom? How would the RCI staff know at check-in who else is in the room? (Yes, Grandma here, would be willing to drink the 2 extra bottles during the cruise!)

Along those same lines, what about an adult drink package? Would both parents be required to purchase if they have separate rooms?

The rule is 2 750ml per cabin, no matter the number of people in the cabin, as long as someone is 21 or older. So, two cabins, 4 bottles of wine. You can also bring 12 containers, 17 ounces or less (500 ml) of soda or water per cabin as long as it is carried on.

Alcohol package can be purchased by just one of the adults as they are in separate cabins. Anyone else 21 or older in the same cabin would also have to buy either an alcohol package or a refreshment package.

We just stayed in 2 CP rooms, 1 adult in each room. We were each allowed to bring 2 bottles of wine, and were given 2 bottles (total) in the CP rooms

I did exactly this for our Easter '20 Harmony cruise. 2 CP balconies was cheaper by some $200+ than a quad. Split my Grandkids with a parent and got additional perks of wine and lunch at ? for all. Plus, $100 obc for a non-refundable deposit and paid grats from out TA

You do not even have to split up when checking in. All 4 walk on and each adult will have their 2 bottles of wine permitted, as long as they are registered in 2 different cabins.

If you wish to purchase the adult drink package for only one adult, you could always leave one adult and one child in each cabin officially and ask for an extra room key for each cabin that only opens the door and cannot be used for charging purposes. That way you can access both cabins, sleep where you wish to, but still have one adult registered per cabin officially.
