SECdawg Posted October 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Anyone know why Majesty is still in port? She should have left at 4. We were on her last week and she had speed restrictions but they did not really impact our cruise.
Ourusualbeach Posted October 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Are they still flushing out her water systems with chlorine every 6 weeks or so? That was causing delayed departures previously.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted October 23, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2017 What is the flushing for toilets?
SECdawg Posted October 23, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Boarding was supposed to be at the usual time today so I do not think so. John and Laura (John & Lala) are on this sailing so maybe they will fill us in.

Ourusualbeach Posted October 23, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 23, 2017 What is the flushing for toilets? The Majesty has been having issues with its water lines getting contaminated and has had to periodically have all the water lines flushed with chlorine to ensure that there is no contamination. Nothing to do with toilets.

CarpeCerevisi Posted October 23, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2017 I’m on board Majesty, she is shipping a new port side anchor and chain. It seems to be taking a bit longer than the Captain said it would at muster drill. Tomorrow is a sea day anyway, so other than the shops and casino opening later the itinerary is unaffected. wolfcathorse Posted October 24, 2017 #12 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Any recent developments? I just peeked at the port cam (8:57) for Canaveral and MJ just left, she's almost out of the channel. So she must have dropped her lines at 8:30 pm

Pellaz Posted October 24, 2017 #14 Share Posted October 24, 2017 I’m on board Majesty, she is shipping a new port side anchor and chain. Huh, that immediately caused me to wonder if they had to cut the chain and leave the anchor behind somewhere if it had become lodged and couldn't be weighed. It's rare, but it CAN happen. Pumbaamd Posted October 24, 2017 #15 Share Posted October 24, 2017 Huh, that immediately caused me to wonder if they had to cut the chain and leave the anchor behind somewhere if it had become lodged and couldn't be weighed. It's rare, but it CAN happen. MJ lost an anchor at Coco Cay about ten years ago. It was eventually recovered some time later. R&D
