What’s your favorite Cheers Seaday?

Any Canadians in the know as to whether you can get clamato juice or should I bring Caesar Pleaser packs?

THX.

Honestly, I never saw any clamato juice on board, but I didn't really look. It is sometimes available in the local stores here in Central Florida (large bottles, IIRC, not cans), which kinda blew me away - was not what I expected to see.

I'd bring packs, just in case. Or maybe just some clam juice, which is available in small cans?

Or do as I did, and adapt to Bloody Marys. Not the same, I know...

I am assuming they do have Clamato as my hubby always drinks Michelada's often on the ship.....plus those are more and more popular in general as well so I am guessing they should have.

Spiked coffee in the morning, Irish or Chocolate Lovers would be my preference. A screwdriver or Bloody Mary at brunch. I kept it simple in the afternoon and evening, Woodford reserve on the rocks, wine with dinner. You can get water, and non-alcoholic coffee and they don’t count against your limit.

They have Woodford??? YEA!! I wonder if on all ships?

I’ve never had Cheers before but it’s my 40th birthday cruise on Horizon Inaugural so we’ve treated ourselves.

My plan - Freshly squeezed Orange Juice from Havana & to try the unusual sodas from there.

Speciality coffee

Bloody Mary

After lunch or as soon as we return from port Pina Colada or frozen drink.

Pre dinner Alchemy bar - spicy pineapple chipotle

Glass of wine

A dinner menu special

Alchemy bar

Then a cocktail from whoever bar we are in.

Happy 40th!! Enjoy your cruise. Our cruise in March is in celebration of my 50th.

Back to OP-- screwdriver for breakfast, later a Malibu & Coke Zero, a Miami Vice or BBC in the afternoon, late afternoon to early evening Amaretto, Cinnamon Toast (Rum Chata & Fireball). Lots of water throughout the day and occasionally a milkshake or smoothie.

I'm a mimosa gal but sometimes find them too sweet, so we've switched over to something more tart: Aperol Spritz - champagne & Aperol (similar to Campari but a bit lighter). Also, excellent sangrias are now available on Serenity (and usually the back bar of the Lido buffet).

1. Use all 15 drinks

2. Take breaks with vitamin water

3. Have a specialty coffee (with or w/o booze)

4. Stock up on water, vitamin water, energy drinks for later in the evening and for port days.

For me, Cheers on a seaday is easily a $150 day if bought a la carte.

I don’t like super sweet either. I’ve never heard of Aperol-Thanks for the suggestion! I was thinking maybe a mimosa with cranberry juice may be less sweet, too? I want to make sure I get some kind of breakfast beverage going on ;p! My husband teased me because the last time we were at Epcot center I found this wonderful grapefruit beer and deemed it the perfect breakfast beer!

OMG, that Grapefruit Beer - so delicious! How I’d love to be sitting in that courtyard in Epcot right now, with a beer in one hand and a huge pretzel in the other! ;p:cool::hearteyes:

Absolutely loving this thread! :D Thank goodness my husband and I are not the only lushes on the ship ;p. Making note of these ideas and the different drinks you guys like (yes, we have our priorities :')). We did the cheers package on the last cruise and absolutely loved it. We really like experimenting and trying different drinks and not worrying about the bill. We worked our cheers package about like everyone else...never maxed out, but came darn close.:o Nice to know they have Sangria...this is one of our favorite drinks. One of my favorite places is the Blue Iguana bar on the Lido...love tequila and margaritas (my go to pool drink). We usually get a glass of wine from the atrium bar before going to dinner and then when we sat down at dinner we would order another glass of wine because the bar service is a little slow in the MDR, so by the time we finished the first glass the other glass of wine would be delivered. Since we are only about 21 days from sailing, I guess we need to start conditioning our livers now, but heck we are trying to loose those last few unwanted pounds before we go, just so we can gain them back.

Every cruise, I start my day the same. 1)Grab a specialty coffee(sometimes spiked, sometimes not) and sit outside and enjoy it.

2) head into the casino and usually sip on some beers while I try my luck. Maybe have some rum

4) stock up on water/energy drinks

3) go to alchemy bar before dinner

4) usually grab 1 or 2 more at alchemy after dinner

5) return to casino in the evening and will usually have long islands, rum and diet, or something with vodka

I don’t think I’ve ever NOT hit the 15 drinks on a sea day. I’ve even sometimes hit 15 on port days. I’m quite the lush when I’m on a cruise lol.

I think I’m going to change the word “lush” to Crush....cruise+lush=crush. As in, I’m gonna wake up and crush it today! I really appreciate all of your suggestions and can’t wait to try some of them out! Does anyone know-can you take your beverage of choice into the Thalassotherapy spa area?

This thread rocks!

First, a spiked coffee, then a couple of bloody Mary's with breakfast. A couple beers hanging by the aft pool. A frozen drink of some kind with guys burgers or tacos. Another frozen drink while enjoying the sun on serenity. Perhaps a second. Gotta throw in a couple waters and vitamin waters just to keep hydrated, lol! A Makers on ice while getting ready for dinner. A stop at alchemy for a Caribbean manhatten while awaiting for the MDR to open. And a second to bring to dinner. Another spiked coffee to end dinner. Off to a show, stopping for another Caribbean manhatten (best drink on board...). A frozen drink at the show, cause we just don't have them ever, except on a cruise. Gotta throw another bottle of water down. And after the show, stopping in the atrium for a night cap, probably another Makers on ice. Then a vitamin water and a bottle of water to head back to the room to rest for the next sea day! Gotta love vaca!

Ok what's in a Caribbean Manhattan and can you get them everywhere?

Alchemy Bar drink made with Makers Mark bourbon, Cinzano sweet vermouth, spiced brown sugar syrup and bitters. Edit...Just saw that it's now made with Templeton Rye whiskey instead of Makers. I would have them make it with Woodford Reserve.

Well, at the risk of sounding like a lush 🤪 oh, what the heck, here goes. I maximize my Cheers program.

I start off with having some protein and maybe some fruit for breakfast. I’m not a fan of Bloody Marys, so I may have a mimosa if I go to brunch. If not, I head up to Serenity by 9. I grab a vitamin water on my way up. When the serenity bar opens, I’ll drink 2 or 3 (Bahama mama, Miami vice, maybe grey goose and soda with lime) while I lay out for a couple of hours. On the way back to my room, I’ll stop by a bar and get a bottle of water. Go shower, then head to Red Frog. Order a Painkiller or Beachcomber. Send my friend out to Guys BBQ to get a small scoop of mac and cheese, top it with pulled pork to bring back to me. I alternate my Red Frog drinks with a water [emoji6] When Alchemy opens, I’ll have a couple there (The Perfect Storm or Chipotle Pineapple Martini), maybe go play some trivia. I’ll go get more vitamin water and head to the room to change for dinner. Depending on how long my primping takes and if I take a power nap, I’ll stop by Alchemy again on my way to dinner. Maybe bring that drink to MDR or not.. I always order a glass of Cabernet with dinner. Go wait in line for comedy. Drink a couple of sweet & spicy jesters at the comedy club. Head to the casino where I’ll gamble and have some wine or vodka sodas. Grab bottled or vitamin water & head to bed. [emoji6]
