When the fam wanted to watch it, I should have gone in the other room...:eek::(

...and before anyone takes this post entirely tooooo seriously....I'm saying this in only the most light-hearted manner.......while crying.......cause it's the end of the movie......but still light hearted :) :)

I watched Poseiden last week. I think it's important to know what to do if the ship turns upside down. =)

Tonight, Ghost Ship...in case vengeful spirits take over the ship.

That might make it A Night to Remember.

Why do you guys watch that movie? The ship always sinks at the end.

Tony

Because Titanic is not about the Titanic... it's a love story (with the Titanic thrown in to make it interesting).

A Night to Remember is about the Titanic (with a love story thrown in to make it interesting).

I prefer to watch Titanic backwards - it's a much happier movie. It starts out with everyone getting rescued, they all have a great TA cruise, they disembark from a brand new ship in the UK, and nobody dies in the end...er, the beginning... [emoji6]

In the interest of full disclosure, not all my originals

*Heard when the ship went down...

I did order ice. They aim to please. Best crew service ever!

It's still better than Carnival!

So has the all-night buffet been canceled?

Am I allowed to take food off the ship?

How about alcohol, sodas, and water. Are we limited?

How big a carry on can I take on the lifeboat?

This is definitely the last time I book a cheap repositioning cruise!

Ah, so this is what they mean by 'cruise to nowhere'.

Hold on a minute, I want to take some selfies.

Can you delay the sinking until I update my facebook status?

I was very new to cruising, having completed just one 7-night Alaska cruise, when we were booked on a 15-night transatlantic cruise in April 1999. I didn't sleep for days, not because of the cruise but because it was right when the Columbine shootings occurred and my heart just ached. During the middle of the night before we left for Florida, I happened upon The Poseidon Adventure on TV. I'd already seen it, I knew most of them were rescued, but it really didn't help the situation (though I learned to head for the smoke stack).

In 2015, the night before we left for a cruise that would ultimately involve an overnight flight to Easter Island, I got caught up in several aviation disaster shows on TV. Included was a jumbo jet going down at night in the South Pacific Ocean. That didn't help much either.

I've decided that those kinds of productions are really best for people who just want to stay home anyway. They reinforce the belief that the world is an unsafe place and travel puts you in a front row seat of an impending disaster.

Yep! Exactly how it would be if the Titanic had sunk 100 years later. ;p
